Prime Minister Netanyahu's days are numbered

Can you handle some good news?

Israel Police recommended indicting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for bribery and breach of trust in two cases Tuesday night, Israel's Channel 2 and Channel 10 reported.

After a 14-month-long investigation, police announced on Tuesday that it found enough evidence to recommend the state’s prosecution to indict Netanyahu for bribery and breach of trust in Case 1000, the “gifts affair" and Case 2000, the "Yediot Aharanot Affair."

Unfortunately the bastard isn't being prosecuted for war crimes, but I'll take this.
There are two other police investigations yet to conclude. It seems his wife may be even worse than him.

The Israeli press lays most of the blame for this state of affairs at the door of Sara, who - it appears - has been instrumental in pushing for this lifestyle and possesses a reputation for treating employees badly.

Netanyahu has decided to blame the lefty media.
What's disturbing is the reaction by some people.

Education Minister Naftali Bennett, a political rival of Mr Netanyahu, questioned whether a prime minister should be "overthrown for the sake of a few cigars", while Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked pointed out that Mr Netanyahu did not have to resign if he was indicted.
There is also a dilemma for the public.
Despite the deep suspicion that Mr Netanyahu does not possess a moral compass, he is seen as the guarantor of security in a time of trauma in the Arab world.
He is the national goalkeeper who keeps the nation safe.

He is "keeping the nation safe"?
How is he keeping Israel safe?
You mean like this?

Sixty per cent of Palestinian children who were arrested by Israeli occupation forces were verbally, physically or psychologically tortured, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club (PPC) revealed yesterday.
In a statement, the PPC said that the Palestinian minors detained by the Israeli occupation were prevented from sleeping, beaten and threatened by interrogators in order to confess.
The statement also said that the Palestinian children were prevented from eating and drinking for long periods and were insulted. They were also subjected to hours of interrogations.
...There are currently more than 6,500 Palestinians being held in the Israeli occupation’s jails, including 57 women and girls and 350 children.

Keeping Israel safe by torturing children. So brave.

Ahed Tamimi, the Palestinian teenager arrested for making the occupation look bad, will no longer be allowed to make the occupation look bad. As she was brought in Tuesday to the Ofer military court near Jerusalem for pre-trial motions, the judge, Lt. Col. Menachem Lieberman, decided it “would not be in her interest” to have anyone but her lawyers and family members present.

Witness the terrifying act of terrorism by this tiny girl.

Israel must be protected from this, even if every tiny girl in that family has to be tortured.

Denied bail, Tamimi could spend years in prison for what prosecutors argue was a criminal offence. She faces 12 charges.

out of the PM job years earlier for corruption. How exactly did he manage to slither back in? Are Israelis as politically stupid as 'Muricans? Sure looks that way. Reminds me of Trick the Dick, Dumbya, and the Orange Dimwit and their sleazy bosses and cabals. Rec'd!!

She and her family started protesting when settlers in an illegal Israeli settlement stole a water source that had been in her family's possession for generations and was used for irrigation of crops and livestock.

The Israeli soldiers are there to protect the settlers as they steal more and more land, water and other resources from Palestinians. Naturally, young protesters like Ahed are labeled terrorists by the Israeli government and by conservatives in the United States.

@edg Well, protesters here are called criminals as well, pretty frequently, so it's no surprise.

It will be interesting to see how Trumpster and Kushner react to the news regarding Netanyahu.

Kushner's ties to Netanyahu go back to his teenage years. He "knew the prime minister, who was friendly with his father, a real estate developer and donor to Israeli causes," the Times noted. It added, "Netanyahu had even stayed at the Kushners' home in New Jersey, sleeping in Jared's bedroom. (The teenager moved to the basement that night.)"

promised rule over the Middle East or whatever remains of it, I suppose.

Then I suppose he/the American/European, etc. faction of political lackeys will be disposable as far as the other insatiables go, too, in the final 'Battle of the Billionaires', (by then trillionaires, or 'gazillionaires', I suppose,) should they survive that long. Hillary Clinton Goes to Militaristic, Hawkish Think Tank, Gives Militaristic, Hawkish Speech
Glenn Greenwald

September 9 2015

...Brookings is funded in part by one of the Democratic Party’s favorite billionaires, Haim Saban, who is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Israel and once said of himself: “I’m a one-issue guy, and my issue is Israel.” Pollack advocated for the attack on Iraq while he was “Director of Research of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy.” Saban became the Democratic Party’s largest fundraiser — even paying $7 million for the new DNC building — and is now a very substantial funder of Hillary Clinton’s campaign. In exchange, she’s written a personal letter to him publicly “expressing her strong and unequivocal support for Israel in the face of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction movement.” ...

... Clinton repeatedly invoked the Netanyahu-cartoon image of Iran as a Grave and Evil Terrorist Menace. ...

... She also explicitly threatened Iran with war if they fail to comply: “I will not hesitate to take military action if Iran attempts to obtain a nuclear weapon, and I will set up my successor to be able to credibly make the same pledge.” She even depicted the Iran Deal as making a future war with Iran easier and more powerful: ...

... As for Israel itself, Clinton eagerly promised to shower it with a long, expensive, and dangerous list of gifts. Here’s just a part of what that country can expect from the second President Clinton:

I will deepen America’s unshakeable commitment to Israel’s security, including our long standing tradition of guaranteeing Israel’s qualitative military edge. I’ll increase support for Israeli rocket and missile defenses and for intelligence sharing. I’ll sell Israel the most sophisticated fire aircraft ever developed. The F-35. We’ll work together to develop and implement better tunnel detection technology to prevent arms smuggling and kidnapping as well as the strongest possible missile defense system for Northern Israel, which has been subjected to Hezbollah’s attacks for years.

She promised she “will sustain a robust military presence in the [Persian Gulf] region, especially our air and naval forces.” She vowed to “increase security cooperation with our Gulf allies” — by which she means the despotic regimes in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar, among others. She swore she will crack down even further on Hezbollah: “It’s time to eliminate the false distinction that some still make between the supposed political and military wings. If you’re part of Hezbollah, you’re part of a terrorist organization, plain and simple.”

Then she took the ultimate pledge: “I would not support this agreement for one second if I thought it put Israel in greater danger.” So even if the deal would benefit the U.S., she would not support it “for one second” if it “put Israel in greater danger.” That’s an unusually blunt vow to subordinate the interests of the U.S. to that foreign nation.

But when it comes to gifts to Israel, that’s not all! Echoing the vow of several GOP candidates to call Netanyahu right away after being elected, Clinton promised: “I would invite the Israeli prime minister to the White House during my first month in office to talk about all of these issues and to set us on a course of close, frequent consultation right from the start, because we both rely on each other for support as partners, allies and friends.” She then addressed “the people of Israel,” telling them: “Let me say, you’ll never have to question whether we’re with you. The United States will always be with you.” For good measure, she heaped praise on “my friend Chuck Schumer,” who has led the battle to defeat the Iran Deal, gushing about what an “excellent leader in the Senate” he will make. What’s a little warmongering among friends? ...

...Two words that did not come out of Clinton’s mouth during the entire event: “Palestinians” (do they exist?) and “Libya” (that glorious war she supported that was going to be the inspiring template for future “humanitarian interventions” before it predictably destroyed that whole country).

But nobody seems worried about the foreign Likud (Trilateral Commission-variety sleeper Org?) influencing government... even though they're blatantly running American policy and are eagerly offered other people's resources, starting with the American taxpayer's.

Note that Israel suffers from the same Monsanto/Bivings-style kindergarten-spite propaganda as does the US and that a number of the same fanatic Israel-supporting billionaires are involved; but are they supporting the Israeli people who, like everyone else, would doubtless like peace, prosperity and human rights, or the Likud and the shared destructive goals of military and economic domination of the Likud over the entire region of the Middle-East, with the lives and rights of the non-hyper-wealthy people there of no more moment to them than those of the non-hyper-wealthy American people who, at the moment, it's not profitable/necessary to bomb?

You know what's somehow accepted in Washington regarding 'Israeli' self-interests effectively approving which American politicians get anywhere - and I believe that, as in so many other cases involving ulterior motives, setting the State of Israel up was very possibly using religion and sympathy for the genuinely and appallingly persecuted

(by Hitler and Nazis set up and funded by American industrialists forming such as the Trilateral Commission for global fascist take-over, the last time this was attempted)

Jewish people in order to set up a legitimized power-base in the Middle-East rather than a country for a desperate people in a land they had not possessed for a very long time and which now belonged to other people, while those fomenting division and religious/race-wars wherever they go were calculatingly propagandizing them, in at least some cases/to some extent with success, to believe that they could not share 'their' land with the other people living there throughout more recent history, which seems very much against their actual religion and very much in keeping with the pathological attitudes of The Psychopaths That Be.

What the UN vote says about how Trump will treat Israel
Stephen Collinson

By Stephen Collinson, CNN

Updated 4:50 PM ET, Sat December 24, 2016

Washington (CNN)It's Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu against the world.
A dramatic vote Friday at the United Nations Security Council likely marked the final chapter in President Barack Obama's troubled relationship with Netanyahu.
But perhaps more importantly, the vote -- in which the United States allowed a resolution condemning Israeli settlement construction to pass -- offered a glimpse of how the President-elect and the Israeli Prime Minister are poised to soon overhaul the relationship between their two countries.

Trump and Netanyahu stood shoulder-to-shoulder this week. In days of tense diplomatic maneuvering ahead of the vote, the Israelis enlisted Trump in a bid to stop the measure in its tracks, a striking attempt to pressure the outgoing administration. Trump's response -- a tweet, a statement calling for a US veto and a call with Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi, whose government originally drew up the resolution -- previewed where he will steer US-Israeli policy.
The Trump-Netanyahu alliance flouts traditional protocol regarding how foreign governments and presidents-in-waiting act. It didn't prevail -- for now -- as the resolution passed on a 14-0 vote, with the US abstaining. The vote was a blow for Israel as the world effectively lined up to censure its settlement building in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, which many nations see as an obstacle to stalled peace talks and the ever more elusive notion of a Palestinian state.
Still, Trump and Netanyahu charted the future course of US-Israeli relations after Trump is inaugurated.
"As to the U.N., things will be different after Jan. 20th," Trump tweeted after the vote.
...

And I'll bet Likud-supporting billionaires who used to (financially) support Hillary Clinton played probably as big a role in Trump's behaviour here as with her and others in the US government...

The following is a huge article, jam packed with detail and, certainly for any non-experts like myself, what I'd consider to be essential reading in full at source.

Trump Trashes Iran Deal to Satisfy Netanyahu
U.S-Iran policy is closer to Israel than it has been in years.
By Gareth Porter • October 20, 2017

President Donald Trump’s new Iran policy clearly represents a dangerous rejection of diplomacy in favor of confrontation. But it’s more than that: It’s a major shift toward a much closer alignment of U.S. policy with that of the Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Whether explicitly or not, Trump’s vow to work with Congress to renegotiate the Iran nuclear agreement, and his explicit threat to withdraw from the deal if no renegotiation takes place, appear to be satisfying the hardline demands Netanyahu has made of Washington’s policy toward Tehran.

Specifically, Netanyahu has continued to demand that Trump either withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or make far-reaching changes that he knows are impossible to achieve. In his September 17 speech to the UN General Assembly, Netanyahu declared, “Israel’s policy toward the nuclear deal with Iran is very simple: Change it or cancel it.” And he made no secret of what that meant: If Trump doesn’t “cancel” the deal, he must get rid of its “sunset clause” and demand that Iran end its advanced centrifuges and long-range missile program, among other fundamentally unattainable objectives.

Trump’s statement last Friday managed to include both of the either/or choices that Netanyahu had given him. ...

...Although the Middle East is very different today than during the George W. Bush administration, some parallels can be found in comparing Trump’s policy toward the JCPOA and Bush’s policy toward Iran during the early phase of its uranium enrichment program.

The key figures who had primary influence on both Trump’s and Bush’s Iran policies held views close to those of Israel’s right-wing Likud Party. The main conduit for the Likudist line in the Trump White House is Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, primary foreign policy advisor, and longtime friend and supporter of Netanyahu. Kushner’s parents are also long-time supporters of Israeli settlements on the occupied West Bank.

Another figure to whom the Trump White House has turned is John Bolton, undersecretary of state and a key policymaker on Iran in the Bush administration. Although Bolton was not appointed Trump’s secretary of state, as he’d hoped, he suddenly reemerged as a player on Iran policy thanks to his relationship with Kushner. Politico reports that Bolton met with Kushner a few days before the final policy statement was released and urged a complete withdrawal from the deal in favor of his own plan for containing Iran.

Bolton spoke with Trump by phone on Thursday about the paragraph in the deal that vowed it would be “terminated” if there was any renegotiation, according to Politico. He was calling Trump from Las Vegas, where he’d been meeting with casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, the third major figure behind Trump’s shift towards Israeli issues. Adelson is a Likud supporter who has long been a close friend of Netanyahu’s and has used his Israeli tabloid newspaper Israel Hayom to support Netanyahu’s campaigns. He was Trump’s main campaign contributor in 2016, donating $100 million. Adelson’s real interest has been in supporting Israel’s interests in Washington—especially with regard to Iran.

In a public appearance in Israel in 2013, when Adelson was asked about his view on negotiating with Tehran, he suggested dropping a nuclear weapon on a desert in Iran and then saying to the Iranians, “See! The next one is in the middle of Tehran. So, we mean business. You want to be wiped out? Go ahead and take a tough position and continue with your nuclear development….”

The Likud Party policy preferences on Iran dominated the Bush administration in large part because of the influence of David Wurmser, a Likudist who was a Middle East advisor first to Bolton and later to Vice President Dick Cheney. Wurmser was a co-author, with Richard Perle and Douglas Feith, of A Clean Break, the 1996 paper that advised Netanyahu to carry out military strikes against Syria and Iran and to remove the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq. Wurmser convinced Cheney that the administration should seek a pretext for attacking Iran.

But it was Bolton who worked with Israeli officials to plan a campaign to convince the world that Iran was secretly working on nuclear weapons. His goal was to sell key European nations on a UN Security Council resolution accusing Iran of developing a nuclear program. Bolton explains in his memoirs that the assumption of his strategy was that either the Security Council would strip Iran of its right to have a nuclear program or the United States would take unilateral military action.

In the summer of 2004, a large collection of documents allegedly from a covert Iranian nuclear weapons research program was suddenly obtained by Germany’s foreign intelligence agency. Those documents became the sole alleged evidence that such a program existed. But this writer found more than one telltale sign of fraud in the papers, and a former senior German foreign office official told me on the record in March 2013 that the source who passed on the documents was a member of the Mujihadeen e-Khalq (MEK), the armed Iranian opposition group. The MEK has allegedly worked with Israel’s Mossad for some time.

Neither the Bush administration nor the Trump administration viewed the alleged danger of nuclear proliferation by Iran as the priority problem per se; it was rather an issue to be exploited to weaken the Islamic regime and ultimately achieve regime change. ...

... Now the Trump administration is playing out a new chapter in the drama of the Likudists and their patrons in Washington. Their objective is nothing less than using U.S. power to weaken Iran through military means if possible and economic sanctions if necessary. The remarkable thing is that Trump is cooperating even more eagerly than did Bush.

The points quoted in the following seem indicative to me. To paraphrase, Bibi: Daesh, Russia, what's the difference, what's better? I know what I have to do...

And that appears to involve TPTB/their political/hyper-wealthy purchasers and lackeys conning the US and other countries into continuing the invasions and attacks toward a global, micromanaged hegemony of billionaire/trillionares and corporate interests who'd rather destroy life on the planet than permit democracy and life to prosper, free of their micro-managed and delusional control.

The US and Israeli people and their countries are, as seems clear to me, being used for this purpose by various among the Psychopaths That Be, working together to achieve their goal of absolute planetary dominion, even if over a dead planet inimical to life, having trapped themselves in luxury bunkers with their stolen wealth and power gone up in self-inflicted flames.

Fareed Zakaria GPS: Benjamin Netanyahu on Russia, Iran, U.S.

On today’s FAREED ZAKARIA GPS Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was in New York for the opening of United Nations General Assembly debate, discussed Israel’s relationships with the United States and Russia, Ukraine, the civil war inside Syria, and Israel’s opposition to the P5 + 1 nuclear deal with Iran – including his reaction to former President Clinton’s assessment of his Congressional speech as ‘unprecedented.’

MANDATORY CREDIT for reference and usage: “CNN’s FAREED ZAKARIA GPS” ...

... ZAKARIA: Donald Trump says between Assad and ISIS, he thinks Assad is better. Is Assad better for Israel?

NETANYAHU: Look, I don’t know who’s better. You know what you have there in Syria, you’ve got — you’ve got Assad, you’ve got Iran, you’ve got Hezbollah, you’ve got Daesh, ISIS. You’ve got these rebels and those rebels. And now you’ve got Russia. Do you know what’s better? I don’t know. I know what I have to do to protect the security of Israel.

And the thing that I do is I draw red lines and any time we have the intel, we just keep them. We do not let those actions of aggression against Israel go unpunished.

ZAKARIA: Do you think that Russia’s involvement is potentially stabilizing or destabilizing?

NETANYAHU: I don’t know. I think time will tell. But I did go to Moscow and spoke very candidly to President Putin and just told him exactly what I just told you. I said these are our policies. We don’t want to go back to the days when, you know, Russia and Israel were in an adversarial position. I think we’ve changed the relationship. And it’s, on the whole, good. It’s not like the one we have with the United States. Nothing will ever equal that.

But we certainly don’t want an adversarial relationship. So we agreed that in a few days’ time, our deputy chiefs of staff will meet to arrange deconfliction — to make sure that we don’t bump into Iran. We have different goals. In Syria, I’ve defined my goals. They’re to protect the security of my people and my country. Russia has different goals. But they shouldn’t clash.

ZAKARIA: You are a man who has often spoken out against aggression, against, you know — particularly against small countries. One place you have been studiously quiet is Russia’s — what many people call aggression against Crimea. And when you were asked about it, you said, well, I’ve got a lot on my plate. But you are an international statesman. What is your view of what Russia, what Vladimir Putin did in annexing Crimea?

NETANYAHU: We went along with the provisions that the American government put forward. I mean it’s very clear we don’t approve of this Russian action. But I think we’re also cognizant of the fact that we have a — we’re bordering Russia right now.

And we are — Israel is a strong country. It’s a small strong country. But we also know that we have to make sure that we don’t get into unnecessary conflicts. And we have — believe me, we have a lot on our plate. I went to Moscow to make it clear that we should avoid a clash between Russian forces and Israeli forces. That’s about as responsible, I think, and statesmanly as I think we should act at this point.

ZAKARIA: What’s your view of Putin?

NETANYAHU: Look, there’s mutual respect, but that doesn’t mean that we have mutual coherence of interests. It’s not — it’s not the relationship that we have with the United States of America. It never can be. But I think it’s important that we make every effort right now to avoid a concussion. ...

Anyone else thinking that's a carefully phrased case of 'let's have you and him fight'?

But Bernie and Putin seemingly have a couple of things in common; they're both sane and know how to strategize in what seems an impossible situation. Neither will throw their chances away to risk their people out of impatience or fruitless, if temporarily satisfactory, verbiage or gestures doing harm in, if nothing else, likely obviating the chances of ultimately achieving any possible good.

Putin has radiation-proofed public bomb shelters and public drills to try to preserve his people as best he can, should TPTB attempt to bomb the Russian people by either conventional or atomic means; the US PTB have personal luxury bunkers while suggesting that their people kiss their asses good-bye in the event of their successfully triggering World War 3, which will be carried into their own country this time, even if not by directly bombing, but by traveling radiation clouds and the global extinguishing of sunlight killing off global oxygen production as well as food supplies. What more can I say about the difference between humans and psychopaths?

One more bit from the above, in support of my interpretation (emphasis mine):

...ZAKARIA: — OK, a last question.

You talked about terrorism against Palestinians, terrorism by Israelis.President — the president of Israel says — wonders — he posed this question, why is this culture of extremism flourishing in Israel right now? Do you think that there is an atmosphere that has — that has incited or allowed this kind of extremism to flourish?

NETANYAHU: No, I think the test is not whether societies have extremists; the question is what do the — what does the mainstream do about it. In our case, we go wild against them. Every part of our society unites against any example of terrorism in our midst.

But what I say in Ramallah is that President Abbas calls public squares in honor of mass murderers. And that’s unfortunate — that’s not — it’s a tragedy, I think — for us and the Palestinians, too. The culture of peace, the culture of acceptance, a culture of diversity, you know, for women, for Christians, for gays and so on, is very much ingrained in our culture. And that’s why we don’t educate our people that we have to destroy the Palestinian. We want peace with the Palestinians. But for that, we have to sit down. And I think that’s one order of the day.

And the other order of the day is what I said before. I think we have to protect ourselves against the rising tide of militant Islam — religious fanaticism that is threatening all of us. And Israel is there. It’s standing in the breach. And I appreciate the fact that despite our disagreement on the Iran nuclear deal, both the supporters of the deal and the opponents of the deal, those who supported it, those who oppose it, they all agree now we have to strengthen Israel.

And I think that’s the best guarantor of peace. ...

By 'sitting down', rather than with the there-unmentioned Palestinians, I presume Bibi means squatting on the entirety of the Palestinian's territory, since they're obviously heading in that direction. Peace by tearing the Palestinian people in pieces and attempting to make even peaceful and personal international protest by boycott and divestment illegal in other people's countries, as is being attempted by various of the US PTB and lackeys in imposition against the US people.

Pathological liars and psychopaths have no problem lying to people who they know already know that they're lying; it's part of the brain/mental dysfunction they suffer from. And it's fed by the fact that most normal, unpathologized people have an urge to diplomacy and a tendency to take other people at their word, relating to them on the level at which they operate themselves - unless they are aware of what they're dealing with. That being why the work on Political Ponerology* was so violently suppressed.

Now that the Likud is getting even more and worse weaponry from the US, (for which the US taxpayer is even more drained and used for even more murderous international criminal actions by those controlling another country,) they're getting that much more aggressive in the currently collaborative effort toward global hegemony for a very few.

Was it really coincidental that certain multi-millionaires and billionaires publicly dumped the Dems just as the Electoral College, which Hillary had had in the bag with which she bashed the American voters upside the head, prior to even the start of the Dem nomination (and probably about the time that she arranged the purchased leasing of the DNC; don't recall the date on that ATM) suddenly went for Trump and everyone involved started frantically blaming the RUSSIANS!!! for Her Electoral College loss to Trump - which was projected by some among the corporate media previously trumpeting Her 'inevitable' win on the popular vote, in which (as far as I recall, or am I mixing that with the Super Delegates of the nomination?) they'd previously consistently included the projected Electoral College vote?

This lends further credence to the theory that this may have been planned all along, or at least at some point during the campaign, in part in order to use, as an excuse for WW3 and MAD, (Mutual Assured Destruction) The RUSSIAN!!! Loss Of Her Royal Coronation by HACKING!!! via the Ebil RUSSIANS!!! appealing to those weak and contemptible human emotions involving empathy and ethics - not present in psychopaths, although useful to them in manipulation of prey - as in FB puppy-pics and BLM embodying the bizarre-to-them notion that police shouldn't be routinely abusing and killing citizens even when caught Breathing While Black, sneakily using normal human ideas TPTB desire that no American should cherish and would designate as 'Commie-UnAmerican', to 'influence' the mindless little mice against voting for another cat already known to have further-extended claws, an insatiable and suicidally murderous venality and the desire to nuke RUSSIA!!! on any excuse she/The Psychopaths That Be could invent.

The very excuses TPTB give are so very, very telling...

Long past time that the American public controlled their own currently damned government...

Not just those ditching the Dems (purportedly/in part? Why publicly announce this as a reason? Because when people think that they know 'the reason', they tend to look no further?) for allowing the terms 'millionaire and billionaire' to be 'disrespectfully' used by 'Dems' (presumably Bernie-Bro although unspecified as such) but:

Haim Saban Wants You to Know How Many Millions He’s Given Hillary Clinton

He’s given $6.4 million so far, more than any other Hollywood donor
Sharon Waxman | Last Updated: February 7, 2016 @ 9:16 AM

Haim Saban is a big honking Democratic donor — and he wants you to know it.

The billionaire and his wife, Cheryl, have given a stunning $6.4 million to Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid, according to federal records confirmed with Saban’s political advisers. The donations come not only to her official campaign but also to her super PAC and state Democratic Party committees that can support the former secretary of state’s efforts.

“It’s important to me for the [entertainment] industry to know what I’m doing for Hillary, how committed I am,” Saban told TheWrap.

“I want my number to be out there so others will be inspired to do the same,” he added. ...

There's a listing of donations made, followed by:

... That totals $6.4 million and change.

The $1.4 million to the Hillary Victory fund appears in an obscure place on the FEC site, not readily visible with other PAC donations (image for 2015 donations above).

And that was only what was known at the time, and may not include a lot funneled through 'legalized' financial fuckery for which Biden's home stomping ground of Delaware is particularly well known.

If you recall, Saban bought into the Onion, which began producing pathetic and unfunny puff pieces flattering Hillary.

The Onion's Top Five Hillary Clinton Jokes
As reported in The Free Thought Project, The Onion has been purchased by Univision Communications, which is co-owned by one of Hillary Clinton’s biggest campaign donors, Haim Saban. However, to prove to the world that they were not going to turn into a sycophantic propaganda machine devoted to kissing Hillary's pantsuit, The Onion has just published their top five hard-hitting Hillary Clinton jokes. Enjoy!

Q. Why does Hillary Clinton always wear a freshly pressed pantsuit?
A. Because Hillary Clinton's has tremendous responsibilities, and it is important that she maintains a serious and professional appearance.

Q. How many Hillary Clintons does it take to change a light bulb?
A. Just one. Hillary Clinton is a very self-reliant woman and is fully capable of doing anything that a man can do.

Q. If Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders both jumped off of a building at the same time, who would hit the ground first?
A. They would both hit the ground at the same time. Gender doesn't affect acceleration due to gravity, or the ability to be a great President.

Q. What's worse than Hillary Clinton finding a worm in her apple?
A. World hunger.

A fortune teller told Hillary Clinton, “If you are elected, your husband Bill will die a horrible death.” Hillary replied, “Then I will have to drop out of the race for President of the United States, despite my tremendous popularity with the public and my certainty of winning. I could never be the cause of harm to another human being.”

Not that this is any funnier than is the whole Russiagate thing but it's good to see the point made when the claim seems to be that Russia - rather than the investors - somehow bribed Secretary of State Hillary, who miraculously remained virginal despite being in the middle of all of this pay-to-play fuckery, of which Uranium One was only a portion. (It's OK when The Right People Do It. The Clintons left the White House dead broke and had to take some of the furnishings with them, after all, while they actually had to borrow money just to buy multi-million-dollar houses.) The entry of just the tip of the corruption into public exposure, without mention at the time of any Russian money, never mind Russian government money, involved, other than the half-million 'money talks' speaker fee Bill collected from a Russian bank, said to have the company listed, presumably meaning that public shares were being sold because this was a private sale, at least at that point? Nationalized later? (Hoping for an expert on this, as I know nothing about this stuff...)

A Simple Question
Since Russia gave $145 million to Hillary, and Hillary funded the DNC to rig the primary nomination, does that mean the DNC is funded by Russia?

Then suddenly, an Onion mention indicated disappointment - to say the least - in her; having trouble finding that searching, but I expect that a lot of us remember the fuss at the time that Saban's Onion had published something harshly critical of Hillary, although I can't recall details which would help in searching...

Wikileaks: Clinton Donors Forced Hillary’s Pro-Israel Agenda

October 14, 2016 Sean Adl-Tabatabai News, US

...No-fly zone would “kill a lot of Syrians”

During the Democratic Party primary race, Bernie Sanders repeatedly called on Clinton to release the transcripts of her paid speeches to Wall Street banks, but she refused.

One of the most damning aspects of the latest Wikileaks dump is the excerpts of Clinton’s paid speeches.

In a speech to Goldman Sachs in 2013, Clinton confessed that a no-fly zone in Syria would “kill a lot of Syrians.” This is because it would require bombing Syria’s air defenses, “many of which are located in populated areas,” according to Clinton.

While making this assessment in private, Clinton has continued to publicly advocate for a no-fly zone, ostensibly to protect Syrian civilians. ...

...It’s all about the donors

The Clinton Foundation has accepted millions of dollars from Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

And while serving as secretary of state, Clinton greenlighted enormous weapons deals to those countries.

From Israel to Saudi Arabia, it is clear that Clinton’s donors are in charge. They exert more influence over her public positions and policy prescriptions than she does.

If Clinton were running against Senators Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio, these emails would be scandalous.

Instead, the leaks have been completely overshadowed by the even more sensational and lurid October surprise that befell Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Clinton is lucky her opponent is more disliked and disingenuous than she is.

Was a planned switch/fall-back option the real reason that even Trump's empty podium got so many billions of corporate media air-time, either as back-up with an in-family pro-Likud manupulator, or to suspiciously 'win' (even if it took the Electoral College left out of the otherwise initially universally comprehensive Blame List, prior to letting the rest of the world off the hook [hoping for a scapegoat response of 'bomb them, not us!'?] for the RUSSIANS!!!) over the 'virtuous' (Mad Bomber TTP-Pusher Fracking Queen) Evil this time for the purpose of claiming that Her Loss of Her Turn this time was the fault of Russia, with the Beast Rabban to be installed with great theatrical display?

... FYI: The tactic of using a brutal and unpopular subordinate to further brutalise a subjugated populace before installing a popular and (relatively) merciful replacement is straight out of The Prince. Machievelli writes of this as a way to simultaneously reform a rebellious conquest and remove too-ambitious underlings. Rabban was a fool and so of little actual value to the Baron, an easy sacrifice and the Harkonnens are said to be a large family. – bp. Mar 13 '17 ...

Not that even brainwashing could make the Clinton's 'popular' - even Hillary's supporters demanded that people hold their noses to vote for her as a 'lesser evil', as she assuredly was not. Alt-Evil, perhaps, given the 'same-old, same-old', ever-worsening 'choice' Americans never really had.

The combination of Presidential 'choices' permitted the American people was made to create hell for them either way, while TPTB, et al, make out like the bandits they are.

Political Ponerology - A Science on The Nature of Evil Adjusted for Political Purposes

This took me forever; stuff going on over here... but will plunk it on what must be a long-dead thread anyway. At least the innumerable publicly-paid snoopers can add it to my file as a crabby old commenter, lol.

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

@karl pearson because of his claim to be able to manipulate the US Congress.

I would guess that BDS is personally hurtful to him. Notice how the present report was it, I gather no indictments yet? followed rather quickly on a US court decision in Kansas in favor of the Mennonite teacher who had lost her job over BDS.

I see it.

There should be a cell waiting for him at The Hague, right next to the one occupied by Henry The K. If only.

@Nastarana
although he should be doing hard time.

But at a certain point Netanyahu becomes a political liability.
If Likud has a ready replacement, he's gone.

I can imagine she must be some sort of Lady McBeth, but I imagine one would have to be if one is married to Count Dracula. We have a pair just like them here in the ol' US of A...Mr. and Mrs. Clinton anyone? They are all the same... filthy rich assholes, hell bent on making everyone else's lives as miserable as possible.
