Papa John's revenge.

While perusing through Jane's Defense Weekly, I came across this little tidbit;
Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) is retiring its 9K33 Osa (SA-8 ‘Gecko’) mobile surface-to-air missile systems as part of its on-going reorganisation, a Jordanian military source has confirmed to Jane’s .

The JAF announced on its website in late September that it was offering 52 Osas for sale. The source said five countries and companies have expressed interest in purchasing the systems, including the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, and a US company.

And a US company!
Since when is it ok for a company or corporation to buy mobile missile systems?
Are the oil companies going to cut out the mercenary middlemen and defend their pipeline projects themselves?
Could it be Halliburton doing their own regime changes?
With a State Department run by Exxon who knows what evil lurks.
I wonder what would happen if I put in a bid on those missiles under my company name Ron's Pest Control?

I saw it in the original Bladerunner movie, everything is going to be owned by Taco Bell.

Actually, maybe Blackwater, Xe, or whatever the hell it's called now. Or maybe a competitor.

I don't know though, just think of potential for pest control, your business could really take off.

See, their morals, their code... it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be.

@Big Al ... with the Taco Bell monopoly. And don't forget: Salt is bad for you, therefore it is illegal.

Lol, speaking as one whose mother needed sodium and/or other electrolyte drips at times, making salt illegal would create a lot of problems and certainly reduce the population...

If you don't tend to consume many/any processed foods, you may need to add a little salt to your diet.

Low salt or sodium in the blood (hyponatraemia)
What is hyponatraemia?

The mineral sodium is essential for many of the body's functions including fluid balance, blood pressure management and the nervous system.

Hyponatraemia is a low level of sodium in the blood. Symptoms are not usually very specific and can include changes to a person's mental state, headache, nausea and vomiting, tiredness, muscle spasms and seizures.

Hyponatraemia may be caused by drinking too much water, for example during strenuous exercise, without adequate replacement of sodium.

It may also be due to a loss of sodium and body fluid.

Severe hyponatraemia can lead to coma and can be fatal.

Treatment of hyponatraemia involves intravenous fluid and electrolyte replacement, medication to manage the symptoms of hyponatraemia, as well as any treatments for any underlying cause. ...

...Medical conditions that can sometimes be associated with hyponatraemia are adrenal insufficiency, hypothyroidism, and cirrhosis of the liver. The eating disorder anorexia can also cause a sodium imbalance.

Some drugs can lower blood sodium levels. Examples of these include diuretics (water tablets), desmopressin, and sulfonylureas.
What are the symptoms of hyponatremia (low blood sodium)?

When sodium levels in the body are low, water tends to enter cells, causing them to swell. When this occurs in the brain, it is referred to as cerebral oedema. Cerebral oedema is particularly dangerous because the brain is confined in the skull without room for expansion, and the swelling can lead to brain damage as the pressure increases within the skull.

In chronic hyponatraemia, in which the blood sodium levels drop gradually over time, symptoms are typically less severe than with acute hyponatraemia (a sudden drop in blood sodium level). Symptoms can be very non-specific and can include:

Headache
Confusion or altered mental state
Seizures
Decreased consciousness which can proceed to coma and death.

Other possible symptoms include:

Restlessness
Muscle spasms or cramps
Weakness, and tiredness

Nausea and vomiting may accompany any of the symptoms. ...

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

I think it's safe to say that we've found the character model for some of the younger Hillbots:
