Green Comet Cleanser
~

There is no better time to scrub the tub than now that the green comet cleanser is
coming in for a quick zip. We spoke with Mr. Clean about this 50,000 year old act.

~

~

On to other things.. Opening lines from an old novel. Do you remember this?

~

~

Ships at a distance have every man's wish on board. For some they come in with the tide.
For others they sail forever on the horizon, never out of sight, never landing until the Watcher
turns his eyes away in resignation, his dreams mocked to death by Time.
That is the life of men.

Now, women forget all those things they don't want to remember, and remember everything
they don't want to forget. The dream is the truth. Then they act and do things accordingly.

~

OT, so shout-out your financial warring political climate spiritual observations with glee!

Too bad that Germany/UK/EU/NATO didn't sign on to this.

Up in the Morning Early

Cauld blaws the wind frae east to west,
The drift is driving sairly;
Sae loud and shrill’s I hear the blast,
I’m sure it’s winter fairly.

Up in the morning’s no for me,
Up in the morning early;
When a’ the hills are cover’d wi’ snaw,
I’m sure its winter fairly.

The birds sit chittering in the thorn,
A’ day they fare but sparely;
And lang’s the night frae e’en to morn,
I’m sure it’s winter fairly.

Up in the morning’s no for me,
Up in the morning early;
When a’ the hills are cover’d wi’ snaw,
I’m sure its winter fairly.
Robert Burns

or

Address to a Haggis

Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
Great Chieftain o’ the Puddin-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy of a grace
As lang 's my arm.

The groaning trencher there ye fill,
Your hurdies like a distant hill,
Your pin wad help to mend a mill
In time o’ need,
While thro’ your pores the dews distil
Like amber bead.

His knife see Rustic-labour dight,
An’ cut ye up wi’ ready slight,
Trenching your gushing entrails bright,
Like onie ditch;
And then, O what a glorious sight,
Warm-reekin, rich!

Then, horn for horn, they stretch an’ strive:
Deil tak the hindmost, on they drive,
Till a' their weel-swall'd kytes belyve
Are bent like drums;
Then auld Guidman, maist like to rive,
Bethankit hums.

Is there that owre his French ragout,
Or olio that wad staw a sow,
Or fricassee wad mak her spew
Wi’ perfect sconner,
Looks down wi’ sneering, scornfu’ view
On sic a dinner?

Poor devil! see him owre his trash,
As feckless as a wither'd rash,
His spindle shank a guid whip-lash,
His nieve a nit;
Thro’ bluidy flood or field to dash,
O how unfit!

But mark the Rustic, haggis-fed,
The trembling earth resounds his tread,
Clap in his walie nieve a blade,
He'll make it whissle;
An’ legs, an’ arms, an’ heads will sned,
Like taps o' thrissle.

Ye Pow'rs wha mak mankind your care,
And dish them out their bill o’ fare,
Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies;
But, if ye wish her gratefu’ prayer,
Gie her a Haggis!
Robert Burns

vewwy late to the party here, tanks for the OT. Speaking of which, how many wood fired trains would it take to move 300 tanks from Poland to Poltava, or thereabouts, since the Unkie no tiene electricidad?

@enhydra lutris

about 1/4 mile light, then you stick 20 tanks on it, maybe 1/16 mile
per chord. How far you want to move them tanks? Oh, up to the battle
line with the ruskies. Coming in from Poland, let's call it 500 miles.
So, that would be about 5000 acres of trees to move your tanks.
Only problem there chief, all of the able bodies are getting shot to hell,
so who's going to fell the trees, cut and split the wood, then load it onto
the 50 cars to feed the engine? Just sayin' maybe unfeasible.

Is the Noise Before Defeat

https://thesaker.is/tactics-without-strategy-is-the-noise-before-defeat/

Good morning QMS----This is a long article by Andrei from The Saker and I'll just copy the last bits here:

"Since we know from Sun Tzu that “tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat” we can immediately see that none of these capabilities has any chance to avoid a NATO defeat. In other words, US commanders will soon have to face an even worse choice: defeat or nuclear war.

I submit that the West currently has neither (real, meaningful) tactics nor any strategy.

None.

All I see is magical thinking, narcissistic delusions, a mindset shaped by centuries of relative impunity and an over-arching, blind, hatred of Russia and everything Russian.

Hardly the ingredients for a victory (under any definition thereof) against the most powerful continental warfare military on the planet."

If you have the time and interest the complete work details each step that the West has taken and its defeat at every turn, that brings us to the brink now.

I've been reading about Covid and the lack of public health care as per usual. I don't want to mess up your OT with those links, but there are some interesting developments out there. The German Health Minister made a surprising statement the other day about the effects of Covid. There is also the interesting spectacle of the Davos crew taking all the kinds of precautions for themselves that the public health community and media have been discouraging the hot polloi to take.

Thanks for the OT QMS, hope all is well with you up north.

I have 2 cases on the dockets in different counties tomorrow. I involves a daughter accused of trying to run into or over her mom with her car. The other involves a man ramming his wife's car with his truck. Thing is, the wife was in the back seat lying down and sleeping. Talk about a wake up call!

has a major encouragement by the movies and news
it is no small wonder how people enact the same in
their lives. Like most of our social problems, they end up
with the cops, prosecutors, courts and lawyers.
This is not an extremely efficient solution.
Break the law and get caught - jail time.
I do not envy your role in this broken system.
We need trained social workers in the community
more than military mindsets.

for referencing Their Eyes Were Watching God, my all time favourite book. It was nice to be reminded of an excerpt, although after multiple readings I should know it all by heart. It is the most beautiful love story I’ve read, with the most captivating and life-affirming characters one can meet.

I also very much enjoyed hearing In the Air Tonight again.

Cheers
