It sounded to him like the noise of too many mouths that talk and too few minds that think.
- Lisa Unger, Heartbroke -

I am constantly bemused by the plethora of noise generated by the various hucksters, charlatans and nincompoops foisted upon us.

The mere recurrence of reporting what some of the thought leaders is mind boggling. Who the funk cares what debase ideologues have to say?

I come from the school of thought that loquaciousness can be a symptom of deeper issues. Sometimes, my mind just screams, "STFU". During my most recent gym visit, one of Jesus followers, started a one sided conversation. I simply said, "Mystical beliefs can lead to the onset of Dunning-Kruger", and walked away.

Heh, if it were not for lack of motivation, I could revive the gospel brunch. Smile

Oooh, that is funky!

Have a great weekend!

@NCTim my neighbor's garden is funkin' delectable, and they share. A gift from yesterday was so beautiful I put it in a vase jar with water to look at before I eat it. And then I got curious and had to see it up close. Fresh blooming basil x60:

The Dunning-Kruger effect, huh? Makes sense to me. I know a few people affected by this syndrome. There is a cure, but some resist, as they have an unrealistic fear of the consequence. Such a shame. Wink

The dog days of summer are here. I'm just happy it's Friday.

Have a beautiful day and weekend, everyone! Pleasantry

@Raggedy Ann @Raggedy Ann I have been having a hard time listening to people spout talking points and parrot disinformed viewpoints. Say the wrong thing about global warming, healthcare policy, political corruption, labor exploitation, human rights, inequality, ..., and I funkin' check out.

Our temps went down to 46 degrees last night. Michigan had very little summer this year. Not happy about that.

Seeing boy emperor, the man from nowhere, and alt stupid scattered about the community page, it reminded me of this.

Not at all what it seemed. Which is why I wrote this.

Here's the link to the article if you'd like to read it for yourself. It was long and boring in my opinion. The first quote from Markos stopped my reading and started me scanning. The second quote from Markos, and I clicked out.

How the hell does he hang onto "progressive blog"? It only goes to show how disengaged and ill-informed most writers are.

is that "extreme skepticism" (is that even possible?) is a dirty Roossian propaganda trick. As usual, merkins disdain analytical and critical thought.

Have a nice day, you tool.

NEW YORK—In candid excerpts released Wednesday from her forthcoming memoir What Happened, Hillary Clinton reflects on her unsuccessful 2016 presidential bid, revealing to readers, “We all made mistakes, but you made most of them.” “I’m not suggesting it’s entirely your fault, but, let’s be frank, 99 percent of it is,” read one passage from the chapter entitled “Seriously, What Were You Thinking?” in which the former candidate conceded missteps she had made over the course of her campaign while also clarifying that none of them should have produced the final election outcome, which she characterized as “squarely on you fucking people.” “Indeed, fake news and Russian meddling played a part, and I’ve acknowledged I wasn’t the perfect candidate, but let’s not lose sight of the fact that the majority of the blame—all but the tiniest sliver—lies with you, the idiot voters. You really blew it, dumbasses. Bravo!” Sources later confirmed that Clinton devotes the final chapter of her memoir to how she has moved on from the election, begging her readers to not fuck that up for her too."

Emphasis is mine. But it's interesting how satirists are sometimes the best at archery.
