The Road by Cormac McCarthy is, and always will be one of his best novels among many great ones. I have read it three times, and with each reading I recognise even more how much it has to do with the love between father and son, as it does with a dystopian future. I think it is his best writing. It is so clearly and precisely punctuated with sharp and stark wording and feeling. The most recent novel of McCarthy’s I’ve read was Stella Maris. I have yet to read The Passenger. Along with a few others, he is in my opinion the best of American writers.

I have siblings, a mate, children and grandchildren that I love dearly. While I fear for our future, I hold out hope for a real human awakening, not the ersatz one that we have been spoon fed by those who could care less about the “useless eaters” whose numbers are already being surreptitiously reduced greatly.
What I see shaping up is a David vs. Goliath scenario. Something like a miracle is needed, and in short order, in order to avoid us all starting on page one of McCarythy’s road, in our real world.
Could RFK Jr be our David, or is it more likely he will be just one more Kennedy sacrificial lamb? The next few months and years are going to be critical.

Being full of love for family can be very painful at this somber and severe time. As painful as it is, it is also a blessing, as I know you feel. Every moment seems to growing more and more critical and poignant.
