The next astroturfed "grassroots" movement

Republicans love Jews, but Jews don't love Republicans back. In response, a "grassroots" movement is helping Jews see the truth about the "far left" Democrats. It's called #Jexodus.

A new movement called “Jexodus” was launched at the beginning of March, in the midst of Democrats announcing their candidates for the 2020 presidential election. Jewish millennials started the group because they said they are tired of the Democratic party’s “blatant disregard for anti-Semitism.”

While many Jexodus members have ideals that align with the Democratic party, they feel anti-Israel agendas that veer into anti-Semitism are taking over.

Leading the charge for Jexodus is Elizabeth Pipko, who is serving as the group’s national spokesperson. In a February interview with World Israel News, Pipko detailed her volunteer work for President Donald Trump during the 2016 election.

That's a pretty naked and amateur move. It reminds me of #WalkAway.
How effective was #WalkAway? Let's take a look at some examples.

The #WalkAway Campaign Is Becoming A Dam To The ‘Blue Wave’

How the #WalkAway Campaign is Drowning the Blue Wave Democrats
Growing #Walkaway movement may threaten Dems

Yeh, that didn't work out for the GOP.
I guess the purpose of #WalkAway only served the purpose of a right-wing narrative.

So how did the Dem establishment respond? How do you think?

Russian trolls on Twitter pose as ex-Democrats for #WalkAway movement

Kremlin-affiliated trolls have subversively co-opted #WalkAway as an influence campaign, data appears to show. The hashtag is boosting visibility for a right-wing-hyped non-movement of disenchanted liberals who are supposedly abandoning the Democratic Party in a bid to breed division.

Data available through Hamilton 68, an analysis project focused on monitoring agitprop and backed by the Alliance for Securing Democracy, shows that swarms of Russian troll accounts made #WalkAway one of the highest ranking hashtags on Twitter in the past 48 hours.

One writer for Arc Digital noticed similar trends and came to the same conclusion.

Note: the founder of Hamilton 68 also founded New Knowledge.

Reading the name makes me wince. I'm not a Jew, though. I wonder how Jewish people are likely to perceive that word?

shows me that this group is founding their POV on mythologies. I remember that movie. It was the biggest piece of propaganda to come down the pike in a long time. It also might help this group get perspective on the issues of antisemitism by reading a little Hannah Arendt.

The rise in antisemitism here and in Europe is a direct result of the Zionist movement choosing to found their country on total disregard for the Arab populations in Palestine, and tying their survival as a nation to superpowers (US and Britain).

Anti Israel agendas? These millenials need to decide if they are going to side with oppressors or truly care about the oppressed no matter who they are.

if they are going to side with oppressors or truly care about the oppressed no matter who they are.

Well, that's the question, isn't it?

When you say "never again," do you mean "they will never do this TO US again," or do you mean "they will never do this again TO ANYBODY?"

started outreach to Jews many years ago. One of the things that startled people about the neocons when they first popped up in the 80s was how many of them were Jews. Previous to that, a pretty small percentage of Jewish people were politically on the right in any way. At least, that's how I remember it, and how people I know remember it. Most Jews held views more like Bernie Sanders, if not farther to the left than him.

I guess being targeted by fascists would encourage you to go left.

But in the 80s, far-right Republicans told Jews "We don't want to exterminate you. We want to be your friends. Look, we're allies of Israel, see? We'll protect Israel's sovereignty. Just support our wars--they're in your best interest too!"

I don't know how they sold the Jewish neocons on the idea of destroying human rights and setting up a police state here in America.

@Cant Stop the Macedonian Signal Their are the Jewish neocons, Jewish neolibs
and Jewish peaceniks, starting way back when in the 50's
and 60s Jew's helped blacks as well as anyone could
imagine(at least where I sat and saw it).

The Jewish neocons are probably a minority of a minority
of Jew's, my cuz a tRump lover being one of them. Jewish
neolibs are most likely more abundant and I would say w/out
facts most Jews are peaceniks, but like everything else
unions, religions, think tanks, you name it have been made to
seem pro ptb since they have been captured by WS/DC/MIC.

So just cuz the Jewish neocons have gone to the dark side
I wouldn't assume all Jews fit into that category let alone
a minority of Jews, it's a minority of a minority

But in the 80s, far-right Republicans told Jews "We don't want to exterminate you. We want to be your friends. Look, we're allies of Israel, see? We'll protect Israel's sovereignty. Just support our wars--they're in your best interest too!"

This part was easy power, money, greed, ego.

I don't know how they sold the Jewish neocons on the idea of destroying human rights and setting up a police state here in America.

I never knew that the term "Never Again" only pertained to

@ggersh

that all Jews took the Republicans up on the offer. Just that the Republicans started cultivating Jews wherever they could. Sometimes they succeeded, sometimes they didn't.

is what I meant when I said this:

Like Bernie Sanders, a lot of them got involved with the Civil Rights movement.

oppose the Democratic party. Funny. That's kind of how a certain sort of Nazi used to think, isn't it?
