Just why did Putin let Biden win? He stopped Hillary out of the petty cash drawer, so it is obvious that Biden only won because Putin wanted him to. So what gives?
Please try to figure this out before 2024.
I think that was a clever move. But I need til 2028 to figure that out.

"Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now..."
maybe Putin doesn't actually determine the outcome of US elections?
Scapegoats and all that jazz.
Gambart, the picture-dealer, was ever shrewd and entertaining. He came in his turn to my studio, and I led him to The Scapegoat. "What do you call that?"
"Yes; but what is it doing?"
"You will understand by the title, Le bouc expiatoire."
"But why expiatoire?" he asked.
"Well, there is a book called the Bible, which gives an account of the animal. You will remember."
"No," he replied, "I never heard of it."
"Ah, I forgot, the book is not known in France, but English people read it more or less," I said, "and they would all understand the story of the beast being driven into the wilderness."
"You are mistaken. No one would know anything about it, and if I bought the picture it would be left on my hands. Now, we will see," replied the dealer. "My wife is an English lady, there is a friend of hers, an English girl, in the carriage with her, we will ask them up, you shall tell them the title; we will see. Do not say more."
The ladies were conducted into the room. "Oh how pretty! what is it?" they asked.
"It is The Scapegoat." I said.
There was a pause. "Oh yes," they commented to one another, "it is a peculiar goat, you can see by the ears, they droop so."
The dealer then, nodding with a smile towards me, said to them, "It is in the wilderness."
The ladies: "Is that the wilderness now? Are you intending to introduce any others of the flock?" And so the dealer was proved to be right, and I had over-counted on the picture's intelligibility.

the life cycle for big political lies is twenty to thirty years. Long after there could be any negative consequences for the malefactors and in the interim, kaching! Like Richard Nixon sometime after twenty years casually saying, "Sure, I knew that Jerry Voohries wasn't a communist ..." Left unstated was that the lie got him to the House and a springboard to the Senate, leading to VP and ultimately Prez.
So, down the road, one of the Putin/Russia plotters will say, "Sure, we knew Putin/Russia had nothing to do with the 2016 election, but look at what we got out of it. 1) Kept any discussion of Clinton/Obama neolib econ policies out of the public arena and paved the road for Biden. 2) Gave us hard evidence of how easy it is to snooker DC Dem pols (ha ha even captured Sanders) and to snooker and energize the Democratic electorate. This could be a template for future campaigns (assuming we don't blow ourselves up in WWIII).
...that might help me survive them a great deal.
Still, I AM SICK OF LIES, AND LIARS, AND LIES PREVAILING OVER TRUTH. We need to foster and enforce a culture of truth and reason, with aggressive punishments for liars. FACTS MATTER. YOUR FEELINGS DON'T. BEING IRRATIONAL OR RULED BY YOUR EMOTIONS IS (on the most important levels, at least) A CHOICE, AND IT IS IMMORAL TO MAKE IT. We must venerate rigor, exalt intelligence, condemn intellectual sloth, and criminalize (at least on a cultural level) irrational arguments.
I realize that sounds like a really tall order - but the fact is that the difference between truth and lies can be felt in our very mental and physical health. People are literally SICK of lies and irrationality. I may be a radical, but I am less alone on this than ever before. This could well be The Next Big Thing.

when the lies are so thick that people can't sort the truth out, they label everything as BS and the society begins to collapse.
#4 ...that might help me survive them a great deal.
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away."
The truth remains even if society collapses ("society" being just a ginormous game of make-believe anyway).
#4.1 when the lies are so thick that people can't sort the truth out, they label everything as BS and the society begins to collapse.
Well, you know how RBG passed away just in time to be replaced by Trump sock puppet Amy Coney Barrett? Remarkable timing, right?
It’s not really a coincidence. Putin poisoned RBG with novichock. Now the packed Supreme Court gets to rule on Trump’s lawsuit. The fix is in.
P. S. Don’t ask me for evidence. It’s classified.
P. P. S. Just kidding. It’s my first “Russiagate” conspiracy theory. (On a scale of 1 to Rachel Maddow how’d I do?)
"Please clap." -- Jeb Bush
@Outsourcing Is Treason
But it still needs work. There is probably someone with a Russian or Russian-sounding surname who may have crossed RBG's path. Better to find three. Or find someone who may have visited Russia in the last 25 years. Or perhaps dream up a conspiracy where Ginsberg was in on killing Scalia and her death was payback by a clerk.
The more people you can drag into the conspiracy the less facts you have to have.
But you better work up a backup conspiracy. These things don't last forever.
I wonder when Putin will notice that Novichok doesn't kill people nowadays.
@Outsourcing Is Treason
You forgot to mention oligarchs, Putin's billion$$, his sexy young girlfriend, the Skripals, and vodka. Keep working at it, though, and you'll be full Maddow before you know it.

why don't the natives get it?
refers to Trump as Putin's Puppet. I don't think they know who Aaron Mate' and Matt Taibbi are. It is all Rachel, all the time.
As soon as it appeared Trump lost, I thought of how smart Putin was to have made sure Trump p packed the Supreme Court, in case the voting was so out-of-hand crooked even Putin couldn't fix it.
I am joking, people. I joke!
I just didn't come up with anything as funny as QMS.

Mind if I tweet it?

He would not allow Hillary to be elected because she would take the rest of the world with her. The world probably was saved by the Royal Navy when they refused to nuke St. Petersburgh a couple weeks before the election. (I'm assuming Theresa May had Hillary's permission because England wouldn't start WW3 without US backing, and Obama would not give up his post presidency millions by making sure there was no post presidency) Biden, otoh, like Theresa May, would not be obeyed if he ordered a nuclear attack, instead he would just be escorted to a secure nursing home. However, he can be counted on to maximize the terminal corruption that is impoverishing America. He, and Harris after him, is certain to drive America to ruin without taking the world with it. As a corollary we know Trump was not Putin's plan because Trump exposed the extreme, terminal corruption destroying America. He exposed the plot, he did not participate in it.
On to Biden since 1973
