Peruvian Beach Shack Report - Pining for the shack edition
Well, my health is improving (slower than I'd like). This injury takes months to heal.
Spirits are high. Good news on the travel front. Spirit Air flies Fort Lauderdale to Guayaquil Ecuador for real cheap (baggage extra $ with them). Beginning to plan my escape south.

Good to clarify that Varus confusion (wouldn't want to besmirch the wrong guy).

Ok I have to. In honor of the first Zeppelin flight....

Of course, I've also always found it fascinating that the highest integer in any base numbering system always obeys "The Rule of 9" (At least in my experience. If there's a base that breaks this rule, I'd love to hear about it.) Everything can be added to the equivalent of 9.

Specifically in a base 4 system... anything multiplied by three can have the individual numbers in the product added to eventually reach 3. For Base 8, it's 7. (I did the tests years ago, and don't feel like hunting down my examples right now. My teacher once told me I should keep studying math so I understood how to PROVE my theory, but honestly, I think of it as just a "Rule of thumb" which may be disproven at some point, but works well enough to go with as a working theory. I think more scientists should think of things in that matter, rather than insisting that an observed behavior be tested to destruction.)

I'm on this thought train because I've been noticing that more and more political movements don't want us to actually DO anything. They want us to hunt around, shore up our alliances, get everything into place and THEN actually do something. Of course, all those preliminary steps take a lot of money, and of course they take credit cards.

If you're not doing something today, do something you want to do. I'm due at the VA, but I'm honestly thinking about taking in another Judo lesson this evening for the hell of it. I've got a really good natural Kesa Gatame, and it only took a couple lessons to really get the technique down. Of course, Dropping 18 Lbs in 2 months is also a great feeling.

I've had company for a week and am now free again. Will be taking some time off this week, to recover. Wink I love the summer - easy days and easy to take time away.

Half way through the year. Hard to believe. The concept of time is changing rapidly. It no longer behaves in the ways of the past.

Have a beautiful day, everyone! Pleasantry
