So, 7, "they say", is a happy number. "Why?" you may ask.

And this, of course, leads to non happy numbers

It appears from Brady's discussion, that there are no ambivalent numbers, so that's all ya get.

gray clouds adding contrast to light rose with Carolina blue backing the ridge tops. Wind is up and tall trees gently sway.

Feeling some better today, thank you for your healing words on Saturday.

Been reading a little Whitman before daylight: "I hear the chorus, it is a grand opera,
Ah this indeed is music – this suits me."

Think i'll call a chiropractor recommended by a good friend, the hip, leg and knee need help.

Big project to do on an old car i plan to purchase from a friend. The interior reeks of mold; very bad. Using a straight white distilled vinegar solution first and go from there. My friend already cut out all the carpet, but it's in the cloth upholstery and i presume in the dash and everywhere. They neglected the car during a monsoon period last fall. Hope i figure this one out as it's a 2008 Toyota Corolla and would be an improvement over my sweet 1997 Nissan 200 sx which runs great but suffers badly from rust.

Any suggestions to end the mold greatly appreciated.

Hope your day on the West Coast is a beautiful one, too.

@smiley7

Looks like vinegar is the primary technique

However there are commercial mold cleaners. Reliable brands include Oxy-Mold and InstaGone Car Upholstery Cleaner.

Good luck with your project!

and think i'll purchase borax as a second solution, the seats are cloth and most likely the spores are deep. In the video, vinegar does the trick so I'm hopeful.

Hope it's a sunshine day on Lookout Mountain. Winter returns Tuesday night, good, I'm tired of rain and fog.

Have a good one and thanks again for the tips and vid.

Hope the chiropractor helps for the hip, leg and knee. I have at times worn knee braces for a short time and find the all elastic ones tolerable but not super helpful and the metal ones uncomfortable to painful and not really worth the trouble except in extreme conditions.

Started raining with high winds and gusts up to 50 mph Saturday evening and has continued. Is projected to last all week, which keeps us inside, but we really need the rain. We will be doing an overnight to Sonoma Tuesday, which might be fun driving, but "such is life" (Ned Kelly).

I know of 3 cures for mold, none guaranteed or even all that reliable.
Vinegar
Lemon juice and sunlight (maybe combined IR and UV lights?)
Hydrogen Peroxide.

Peroxide is a powerful oxidizer and hence a pretty strong killer, but it will bleach fabric and, depending upon the exact materials used, maybe melt the foam in the cushions.

A "radical solution" is to toss the cushions and covers and replace with 1) New or 2) Recycled from a junker. Similar, but more extreme is to toss the entire seat assemblies and replace as above.

Good luck and have a great one.

number that I have always admired, in part because it is a product of 7, which is, itself, a very cool number. Toss in 2 and 3 and what could be more fantastic? Wink

Have a great one.

We wanted decent healthcare, a living wage and free college.
The Democrats gave us Biden and war instead.

1999 – Clinton's impeachment trial in the Senate began.

This should be noted in the history books as the last presidential impeachment ever to occur in the United States.

the table" Pelosi has used some weasel words and left some wiggle room s to Trump. I always figured that Bush got a free ride with lying us into war, gitmo and other war crimes because the Dems were so totally complicit in it all.

have to check out windy, the app (not the song), thanks. Eucalyptus debris is a fire hazard, of curse, but also bugs bugs. It repels many, though the oil is much more powerful than simple debris.
There re tons of singing Tesla Coil vids, here's some classical.

Now if only they'd all form a third party, or maybe two. I could live with a libertoon/rwnj party and a left/green party split as long as it broke the duopoly.
Have a good one.

In another thread, one belonging to one of several people with whom I will not engage or increase their count (because they don't discuss, they agitate):
" When Labor Can Move as Freely as Capital Humans Have
intrinsic value. If labor can't move like or as fast as capital, humanity suffers."

I have mixed feelings about this. We have a recent history of unpresidented [sick] mass movement of humans, mostly to avoid flaming death and rape. The US has staffed its factories and mines and Western colonies with people fleeing famine and war. There always have been a certain percentage of people, many talented or creative, who have always looked over the next hill, since we spread from Africa. To this day, the US has 2 main types of immigrants: the talented offered good jobs, and the desperate fleeing from misery.

I don't like the libertarian image of becoming career nomads, moving constantly. This works for some people, but if we adopt this as a general model, say goodbye to the benefits of community. Calling on facetime don't count. We need communities of people who will care for children, for the sick and aged, or just be good friends, not because they're paid, but because they have ties of kinship or neighbor or friend.

If the masses of people become just as fluid as the motions of capital, we will pay dearly. I'm not fond of nation-states or borders other than as administrative conveniences, but I've seen what happens to communities after major motions of capital, like when major steel plants close in cities, or small plants in villages in Appalachia. People have to choose jobs over family. How about communities control capital, rather than vice versa?

A topic worth discussing, with no black and white.
