You must watch this new video by the organizers of the March on DNC, the coalition of organizations planning the rallies and marches scheduled to coincide with the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia this July. It provides lots of new information on the planned events scheduled for July 24-July 28 in support of Bernie and our shared progressive values and principles.

The first person you will see speaking is Billy Taylor, one of the lead activists responsible for creating this coalition, and keeping it focused and organized around peaceful, non-violent marches, rallies and other events to demonstrate to the Democratic Party Establishment that they cannot earn our votes by mouthing the same tired platitudes and phony promises they make every four years, not can they earn them by playing the "fear card" to make us vote for a candidate that stands for so many things - more wars, the privatization of government, trade policies that favor the rich and destroy the middle class, pay for play politics, etc. - that we oppose. The #MarchForBernieUSA goal is to have every Bernie Sanders supporter in America march together as one at 12 Noon EDT on Sunday July 24th, on the day before the 2016 Democratic National Convention begins in Philadelphia.

Soon I will have more info about another major event, The People's Convention, planned for July 23rd at The Arch Street Meeting House, an event open to the public, in which all who attend will get to vote on a progressive platform for all the people. Many Sanders' delegates and volunteers are involved in planning this convention and in drafting the planks to the platform on those issues that concern all progressives from Racial Justice to Climate Change to Electoral Reform. However, the People's Convention is not about Bernie, it's about creating and fostering true Progressive movement. The platform the we the people will ratify on July 23rd will be made available to all candidates, and they can choose whether to adopt it as their own, in whole or part. More importantly, this platform created by the people, not the corporate infested Democratic or Republican parties, is intended as a founding document that states the values and principles for the Progressive movement, whether pursued inside or outside the traditional party structures, as we go forward after July.
