Only Muhammed Skywalker can save the day by targeting the airshaft leading to the nuclear heart of the massive craft, all while dodging Imperial fighters piloted by AI systems impervious to any doubts of it's mission.

Have a whole tray of various tomato seedlings come up in the south facing front window sill and some are over 5 inches tall. This was faster and cheaper than germinating them under the lights for weeks as I have done before.
Sunlight is free, so why not use it. The house is rarely under 65 degrees in the winter anyway.
So I spent the afternoon transplanting the tallest ones into quart size pots and put them in the backyard seed room under the lights and a timer. Also put a maintenance heater out there to keep it around 55 degrees at night.
I think I'll use less electricity this way. I just keep experimenting.
Will put out a tray peppers tomorrow and get them started.
Starting tomorrow a string of sunny days will stretch into next week. Looks like a good time to get the raised beds prepared for spring planting.
Have seen tree blossoms in the neighborhood the last couple of days. That's a good sign.

High today around freezing. The gales have subsided.
Today is dig-out day. The record setting snowfall was
over 3'. Trying to make pathways from the house to the
driveway, generator and workshop. Heart attack efforts.
Fortunately, there is a kid a couple of doors down with a
smallish Kubota to do the heavy lifting. He works for food
and cash. Every neighborhood should have one.

But I remember it well. Lived for 18 years up in the Angeles National Forest at 4000 ft. Got snow every winter, but usually only a few inches. Was snowed in for 2 weeks once with 3 ft. Partied through it though.

I do not think our combat ready military armada is actually combat ready. I do not believe our weapons are superior to Iran's, or our defense systems, for that matter.

Am poaching a chicken at the moment, 2+ hours at 180+ water temp. Will remove the breast halves and use them to make banh mi sandwiches on some excellent locally famous & locally made sourdough rolls for dinner. Veggie to be determined later
Made pizza dough yesterday and put in fridge for a long cold ferment until Mañana, a new experimantal Neopolitan style crust, and then I'll have the rest of the chicken, precooked, plus the poaching broth in which I will boil the stripped carcas to make soups and other dishes for the rest of the week (will use any pizza leftovers for lunches on an ad hoc basis.
Might be a good time to fill all of one's fuel tanks just in case the most exalted dotard gives our never defeated super-unstoppables the go ahead.
Chore day today, delayed until after lunch by various intervening stuff, but the rain has stopped until 5 pm or so they say.
Some stupid oratory about "the union" tonight, time to work on next week's OT I guess, certainly can't imagine listening to it.

E2 has a roast in the crock pot along with some red potatoes and carrots' from last fall.
She spotted regular gas this morning at $4.50 a gallon. We've had our tanks topped off since early last November when we got back from our Havasu trip. Haven't bought any gas since then.
But we keep the Leafs charged up in case of a blackout.

I don't know if awareness of the deeply sick and twisted ideology of this nation can protect you in any way. It's not like we live in as democracy where the people's desires matter. But I think it does help when people actually "know" why the US is in crisis-mode.
