It depends on what the meaning of "indictment" is...

So it wasn't the indictment we wanted; the indictment where Hillary gets led off wearing an orange pantsuit and handcuffs, but, it was an 'indictment' nevertheless. Nowhere did Comey say 'nothing to see here, move along'. Comey made the incompetence, the lying, the arrogance, and the corruption real and on record. No longer will Hillary be able to hide behind her lies. Her word against Comey's - give me a break.

So where does this leave her high profile endorsers such as Warren, Brown, Lewis, DeBlasio etc.? Are they going to be motivated to put themselves out there to say 'I'm with Her'? Forget about Obama, he doesn't have to go through another election, he's done in more ways than one.

So where does this leave us? Could Hillary's numbers against Trump go up after this? I don't think so. The genie was just let out of the bottle for Trump. Hillary will crawl into the convention a severely damaged candidate.

This ain't over folks.

Sorry, the MSM will just see "no recommendation for indictment", and move on from there.

She clearly broke the law. Comey's invocation of her intent was a red herring, as intentions have no bearing on this kind of case.

Here's a similar case:
https://www.fbi.gov/sacramento/press-releases/2015/folsom-naval-reservis...

This one involved a Naval reservist who retained a few classified photographs in his home, and on a device. He gave them to no one, he kept them as unauthorized "souvenirs". The fact that he mishandled the classified data was enough, he was convicted and sentenced.

This case makes it clear that the rule of law no longer applies in America. Hillary is above the law, yet there are scores of "little people" who have been sorely jacked-up for far less.

Welcome to the Third World.

"Obama promised transparency, but Assange is the one who brought it."

It is interesting that no one else in the government can use this as a precedent. There was no mention of a review of the personal e-mails and Clinton Foundation correspondence. When they announced today that Hillary was flying on Air Force One with Obama to Charlotte for a campaign event I knew the outcome of investigation.

The fix was in on this one. We will have to see how Trump plays it, Comey handed him plenty of ammunition to prove she is incompetent, if not indicted.

It would be nice to see Hillary get what she's got coming, but not like that. Only a few people know the extent of the damage she may have caused to our national security by her actions. We little people will probably never know. Did this cost the taxpayers money, other than the investigation, as in were certain ongoing operations possibly compromised where our intelligence community had to make changes? I venture to say yes. But the big question for me is this. Were any American lives or lives of our allies compromised by her recklessness? If she was hacked by foreign intelligence it could very well be a yes. This person has no business being president. She's a train wreck waiting to happen. The clinton's greed will cloud their judgement on matters concerning the best interests of the US. They are not in this to serve America or the American people. On January 20, 1961, a good man made a speech and in it he said,

"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country."

Going back to the SCOTUS decision of 12 Dec 2000, the sheeple citizenry of the US still hasn't had enough of criminal activities of the protected criminal-political classes in DC. They will excuse her and even vote for her - or else Turdblossom's hacking team will make sure she "wins" in states without paper ballots where off numbers can result in a hand-recount.

If I were young, healthy, and had enough money, I'd emigrate faster than the blink of an eye and give up my US citizenship.

NonnyO's picture

We do not elect military personnel to lead, rule, or speak for We the People of the United States.

Commander in Chief is only mentioned once in the Constitution, and in the context of the meaning of the original wording, only one prez was ever asked to be CiC in one specific instance (to go out to actually lead the militias in person - Washington during the Whiskey Rebellion in 1791), but that was when we did not have a standing army. i.e. That was pretty much Washington's role as general of the Continental Army which was made up of enlisted personnel or militias (one of my ancestors was at Valley Forge the winter of 1777-78 during his first three-year enlistment, and eight years and some months later after he had been in many famous battles, his honorable discharge was signed at Newburgh by 'G. Washington' in 1783 - I have copies of his muster rolls and request for a pension later in life).

After we got a standing army in the early 19th century, there was never a reason to ask a prez to be a CiC and personally lead the militias like there was in 1791. Congress has always had the constitutional responsibility of being in charge of the military, has the power to declare war (or not), and provide money for same.

It was that blithering idiot, Dumbya, who was so enamored of being called "Commander in Chief," because he wanted to be remembered as a war president. No other president in my living memory ever made such a big fuss over the fake title of Commander in Chief (it was a practical function in 1791, and if you read the way the Constitution words it, a prez had to be asked to take on the role of CiC; the title was not automatically conferred on a president), like it was more important than being called President. After Dumbya's fuss over the title, Moronic Media and some pundits and politicians (even Obama & $Hillary) started referring to a prez as CiC and saying we elect a CiC (NO, we do NOT), and always in an erroneous context.

The sum total of the one reference to CiC; US Constitution, Article II, Section 2:

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States...;

If I recall correctly, in an interview Obama once said that you're never really in charge of the government as president, but rather just someone that manages aspects of the system. He never saw the presidency as an office where he could enact fundamental change and progress, but something that he was the steward of, and his job was more to stay the course and keep the ship steady than rock the boat.

So in that sense, he's right that Hillary is extremely qualified. She will absolutely maintain the current direction of the country and will engage in the further neoliberalization and militarization of domestic and foreign policy.

Someone should tell Obama that simply being qualified for a position doesn't necessarily make you the best candidate for it.

The audit says that some State Department officials tried to offer different solutions to Clinton's email situation but were rebuffed.

At one point, an official suggested Clinton carry two devices, but that suggestion was rejected.

Two information technology officials who support the secretary raised concerns about Clinton's use of personal email in late 2010 and raised the issue with their boss, the audit says.

The director of the unit that supported the secretary's information technology "instructed the staff never to speak of the Secretary's personal email system again."

There are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know.

On the weekend he could have figuratively buried Hillary, he decides an image from a White Supremacist website would be a cool thing to tweet. It's almost like he wants to lose.

Bam. Trump University fraud case disappears. Shady Trump deals forgotten. Trump goes on to luxuries life-style without having to worry about annoying details like how to run a government.

aren't any smarter than he is. And he's the poster boy for proof that money doesn't make you smart. He's sly and cunning, just like the Clintons. But they're able to extemporaneously compose and speak in complete sentences. But they are as Bob Herbert said long ago:

In America; Cut Him Loose
By BOB HERBERT
Published: February 26, 2001

The Clintons may or may not be led away in handcuffs someday. But whatever happens with the criminal investigations, it's time for the Democratic Party to wise up. Ostracism would be a good first step. Bill Clinton should be cut completely loose. Cold turkey. No more talk about his political genius, his fund-raising prowess, his ability to captivate audiences. He was president for eight years and the bottom line politically is this: For the first time in nearly half a century, the Republican Party controls the presidency and both houses of Congress.

Bill Clinton has been a disaster for the Democratic Party. Send him packing.

There's not much the Democrats can do about Mrs. Clinton. She's got a Senate seat for six years. But there is no need for the party to look to her for leadership. The Democrats need to regroup, re-establish their strong links to middle-class and working-class Americans, and move on.

You can't lead a nation if you are ashamed of the leadership of your party. The Clintons are a terminally unethical and vulgar couple, and they've betrayed everyone who has ever believed in them.

she was "Dis-qualified" when she kept "looking into it"

and "looking into it" about the Million$ she pocketed from those "secret" Wall Street Speeches

-- and found nuthin -- but sleazy excuses.

Today's "indictments" of her character and judgment and her sense of personal privilege,

-- just make her EVEN more "Dis-qualified" -- to be "trusted" with the highest office of the land.
