Bernie with 251 electoral votes, 134 tossups and Trump has 153. 270 electoral votes are needed to win and I think Berne could easily pick up an additional 19 votes.
With Clinton vs. Trump, Clinton currently would have 201 electoral votes, 173 tossups and Trump would have 164

This is why we're seeing hysterical desperation coming from the Clinton camp and the DNC. Their coronation is circling the drain.

bad enough that she's a lousy candidate with terrible
lack of consistency on everything except war and big money. It would be excruciating enough to have her win the election, but to have her auger in and lose to Trump would be more than our nation could bear.
Wait till he starts on her about sniper fire. That is NOT a right wing talking point. There are dozens of news clips of her shape-shifting on just that one horrible lie and its agonizing walk back. Then are all those other reasons not to trust her with your roll of nickels, let alone the keys to the car.

FTR: My vote was stolen in our closed primary here in Oregon because of registration fraud. It will take another 3 weeks to "sort out" any "confusion" on my registration but for the time being my status is still Non-Affiliated and the online version shows a complete empty space next to my party field.

Bernie would do better as an independent
because it's easier for an individual to get on the ballot as an indy than for a political party to jump through all the hoops.
If he were to declare in June, we could get him on the ballot in 47 states. I'm not sure about DC. If he declared early enough, we might even get him on the ballot in NC, making it 48 states.
The Greens just cannot make it on that many ballots in the amount of time we have left.
I suspect that Bernie & Co. are well aware of all of this.
He has been speaking about the Democratic establishment in harsher tones lately. I think I hear anger and disappointment in his voice. He has said that he would "be god damned" if he allowed Trump to be president. Does that mean that he cares enough to go back on his promise not to run as an independent?

Maybe he's said it and I missed it that he will endorse Hillary, but I haven't heard it. And I don't/can't believe that Bernie will campaign for Hillary's policies and issues -- it would just be too hypocritical and I believe he feels that way.
I hope, I hope, I hope it's possible for him to run as an Independent. And what would be great would be if those other "two guys," can't remember their names, run as Independents.
So a D, an R, and two I's running, that would be spectacular, I think.

but I think Bernie would win if he were running against Hillary AND Trump.

Its going to be an interesting summer, IF Bernie would run 3rd party. He knows where to hit Hillary and Trump the hardest. He knows where their skeletons are buried and I think he would bring them up. He has been pretty quiet throughout the campaign. Its gonna be interesting indeed.
