I think this article in the New Yorker is worth your attention

The Making of the Fox News White House

Can't excerpt, it's too long and I am only one third through reading it. But I thought you might be better equipped than me to 'essay it'. It's worth it to do so, right?

There is something about Greta van Susteren in it. I remember her when she was still 'non-foxidized'. That's a long, long time ago.

I hope someone has time and nerves to read through it and makes a 'cliff note for foreign dummies' about it.

Thanks.

Diana Falzone, who often covered the entertainment industry, had obtained proof that Trump had engaged in a sexual relationship in 2006 with a pornographic film actress calling herself Stormy Daniels. Falzone had worked on the story since March, and by October she had confirmed it with Daniels through her manager at the time, Gina Rodriguez, and with Daniels’s former husband, Mike Moz, who described multiple calls from Trump. Falzone had also amassed e-mails between Daniels’s attorney and Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen, detailing a proposed cash settlement, accompanied by a nondisclosure agreement. Falzone had even seen the contract.

Benkler’s assessment is based on an analysis of millions of American news stories that he and two co-authors, Robert Faris and Hal Roberts, undertook for their 2018 book, “Network Propaganda: Manipulation, Disinformation and Radicalization in American Politics.” Benkler told me that he and his co-authors had expected to find “symmetric polarization” in the left-leaning and the right-leaning media outlets. Instead, they discovered that the two poles of America’s media ecosystem function very differently. “It’s not the right versus the left,” Benkler says. “It’s the right versus the rest.”

ok, all of it is above my paygrade. But I know some folks here earn enough to do this article justice.
