Hillary going to the White House may be the only way she can avoid going to the 'Big House'

Over at CounterCurrents.org, Eric Zuesse has voiced some interesting reasoning regarding Hillary's legal/political situation, Why Hillary Clinton's Email Case is Still Not Closed .

Normally, when the head of the FBI under one President says something like “no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case”, as the FBI reported regarding Hillary Clinton’s emails, that would be the end of the matter; but Clinton actually still isn’t off the prosecutorial hook of this criminal case, unless and until she becomes President herself.

The decision as to whether or not to prosecute her on this matter is not made by the FBI Director, but by the Attorney General. The current one, Loretta Lynch, was appointed by (and holds her job at the discretion of) the man who has endorsed Ms. Clinton to become his own successor: the current U.S. President, Barack Obama. If Clinton doesn’t become the next President, the next Attorney General won’t be appointed by Clinton, and that person will then be making any decision as to whether or not to present the Clinton emails-case to a grand jury; and, if an indictment results, then to present it to a trial jury.

Even the Obama appointee to be the FBI’s chief, Mr. Comey, introduced his statement there, by acknowledging that “there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information.” As regards his opinion that “no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case,” reasonable prosecutors already have brought such cases, and they have won convictions on these cases. So, just based on that record, Mr. Comey clearly lied there.

In the article, Zuesse, lists some precedents for indictment that Comey ignored. Encourage you to read the entire piece.

Perhaps this is why Hillary is using every trick in the book to try to be elected; the alternative would end a life of corruption in a very sordid way.

whether it happens tomorrow, or in October what happens when emails which were hacked from her server start being released, especially the ones that show pay for play with the Clinton Foundation.

As usual the media misses the story. All the dirt and sludge revolves around the foundation

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

I'll be holding my breath, creating a warm purple spface of the sort Hill said she loves. Although I won't believe any finding claiming that she's fit for any public office in the teeth of the ever mounting mountain of evidence otherwise.

5 Reasons The Comey Hearing Was The Worst Education In Criminal Justice The American Public Has Ever Had
What America Saw on July 7th in No Way Resembles Our Justice System

The danger here is that Americans will now believe many untrue things about the executive branch of their government. For instance, watching Comey’s testimony one might believe that if the executive branch exercises its prosecutorial discretion and declines to prosecute crimes it determines have been committed, it means no crimes were committed. In fact, what it means (in a case like this) is that crimes were committed but will not be prosecuted. We can say, accurately, that the judgment of the FBI in its investigation into Clinton and her associates ― and Comey confirmed Clinton was indeed a “subject” of the investigation ― is that Clinton is a criminal. She simply shouldn’t, in the view of the FBI, be prosecuted for her crimes. Prosecutorial discretion of this sort is relatively common, and indeed should be much more common when it comes to criminal cases involving poor Americans; instead, we find it most commonly in law enforcement’s treatment of Americans with substantial personal, financial, sociocultural, and legal resources.

Senate Republicans re: perjury. If the FBI or DOJ doesn't want to play ball, it doesn't matter. She will be tried by an impaneled sub-committee. This won't be a hearing. This will be a trial. It won't matter if she is elected or not.

Congressional hearings are a circus, a kabuki show. Bengazi! come to mind the R's did not touch the real war crimes committed by SoS Clinton and the Obama adminstration. Everything becomes about blue vs. red or the evil vs. lesser evil. Meanwhile both sides of our elected officials do nothing but put on their show. If they could not impeach the Shrub or even get a subpoenaed Karl Rove to appear before congress why would they impeach HRC?

Remember Fitzmass? What a joke. The Demorat's the Repug's are not about to do a damn thing about injustice, lawbreaking or criminality in the system they are complicit. The kabuki show in DC is nothing but political theater. A bunch of posturing by the criminal ruling elite. They took the rule of law off the table and neither side wants it back. Sweet Loretta or a Republican appointed AG will not do a damn thing except to rationalize and decriminalize the by-partisan lawbreakers.

It seems that our beloved FBI Director is or until very recently was a director and board member of HSBC, which is tightly connected to the Clinton Foundation. Check out some of these links:

http://www.hsbc.com/news-and-insight/2013/former-us-deputy-attorney-gene...
“Mr. Comey’s appointment will be for an initial three-year term which, subject to re-election by shareholders, will expire at the conclusion of the 2016 Annual General Meeting.”

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/feb/10/hillary-clinton-foundati...
“Clinton foundation received up to $81m from clients of controversial HSBC bank”

https://www.clintonfoundation.org/search/node/HSBC
It’s like a revolving door of money and special projects that the bank and the CF are involved in.

This is the same HSBC that was accused of laundering drug cartel money, was heavily involved in the LIBOR scandal, and who knows what else, and all while our esteemed FBI Director James “she didn’t intend it” Comey was part of the senior leadership

Another good thing about electing Trump over Clinton is that it would kill the Clinton Foundation slush fund. Unless at least one of them (Hill, Bill, or Chelsea) is in a high enough government position to grant favors, no donations go to the Clinton Family Foundation. Something to consider if the Greens don't get their act together very soon. Maybe with their new infusion of cash they can hire some former Bern campaign staff and get the expertise they need.

Inner and Outer Space: the Final Frontiers.

If she was a private citizen the GOP wouldn't care that she has leveraged her office for private gain -- they do it too. The e-mail issue likely wouldn't even be on the table either -- the GOP would be too focused on the destruction of whoever the actual Dem nominee was.

When the Bush administration left and there was no prosecution by the Obama team, that also set a precedent. When Bill Clinton left and there was no follow-up on his pardons, that set a precedent. When Reagan's Iran-Contra people were given a pass by George H.W. Bush, that set a precedent. When Ford gave Nixon a pass, that set a precedent. I strongly doubt that a President Trump would waste his time with a political Clinton prosecution, because when his time is up, he'll probably have his share of crimes to be "forgiven".

I think we definitely need to have a better class of politicians, but I'm generally glad that this country isn't like Turkey or Brazil where opposition parties use the legal system as an extension of their political agendas.

When criminality by public servants is invariably covered up, it intensifies, with new ground set as the bizarre fact of protection for their actions from the law provided by incoming top-level public servants becomes expected.

Bad precedents set by Republicans have been used by Hillary even in a Presidential debate as justification for her own - and she plans to beat the Bush Admin's appalling and almost unbelievable level of criminality by betraying not only her own country but those of many others, via 'trade deals', to ruthless and destructive interests, in addition to the 'war' crimes promised to her donors.

If public servants are not responsible - and held responsible - for their own actions, we wind up here, staring up the nostrils of the end of all life on Earth within decades for the increase of profits and power for a relative few crazed obsessives.

All the while being told that it's essential to have the most irresponsible US President in history legitimate the 'legalization' of a massive and fast-fatal betrayal of countries and people around the world by those sworn to serve them.

Or maybe that's traditionally done at the convention? I see her picking someone strategically as a poison pill. Like Warren. That could serve to make them back off AND bring Sanders orphans back to the fold. What she may not realize is that many of us would push even harder to get her thrown out.

Would any informed person vote for Hillary just because a Dem-labelled Republicrat-lite, whose 'speechifying' is sound and courageous on banking policy but pro-corporate in too many other areas, dumped her accumulated credibility to accept a run as the vice-president of the corrupt and reckless pathological liar and career criminal who's the preferred corporate candidate to oversee the transfer of domestic law and democracy from The People to ruthless, destructive and mindlessly greedy self-interests, thus placing her people and country in the grasp of what can be only described as enemies?

Sanders supporters are often well-informed and, one would think, less likely to vote for their destruction than those lacking internet access and dependent upon the propagandizing corporate media.

I strongly expect Hillary to announce her Veep choice the day after the Republican convention is over, to steal the limelite. The only reason not to would be if the Republican is such a nuclear dumpster fire that the press will still be all over it for the next day or two. She'd be wise to let that news cycle play out.

I'd like to think she'll pick whichever interchangeable Castro brother isn't facing indictment, but the poetic justice of Tim Kaine may be too much for her to resist. Only the fact that Kaine would amount to truth in labeling might dissuade her.
