Happy Valentines Day folks. I've temporarily changed the thumbs up image with a picture of a rose. Since roses seem to be the new currency to curry political favor, perhaps if we give out enough of them then we too can get a spot on national TV as a talking head.
I thought this might be a joke or something, because I still see the thumb. It’s probably because I’m using an iPad instead of a desktop computer. Oh well...

In all my years living in New York, I think I missed that edition.

It is ironic that little Nap presented red roses to Pelosi when a red rose is being used as a symbol on Twitter to denote a member of the Socialist Party. I believe it is also used by Corbyn in Britain too.
I love having the rose symbol as our thumbs up. Maybe we should keep it a little longer.
Happy Valentine's Day to you, JtC, and to everyone here.

maybe a yellow vest as a replacement. I'd like to permanently replace the thumbs up with something more apropos to this site. Any other ideas?

I do like the idea of the rose symbolizing love and the petals representing community. So in that sense it makes sense as a symbol for the ideas of Socialism. Personally, while I enjoy all flowers, the rose holds a special allure for me. This increased when I first moved to the San Gabriel valley and began noticing a lot of different roses growing in people's gardens. I'm not an expert by any means, but I do like to go to local rose shows in the area and learn what I can.
Thought I'd contribute to the idea of community by sharing a couple of pictures of my favorite ones.
#3.2#3.2 But that is what I am seeing on Twitter. I will try to research it.
@Anja Geitz
are not my personal favorite flowers, I love Tropicana roses (which are not red), not just for the color but also for their fragrance. But I do love the choice of the rose for the symbol for the Democratic Socialists.

that is beautiful, but I was vying for the Pelosi effect and a chance to polish a gate or two.
Gotcha
Ok, how about this instead?
It might not polish gates, but at least with this guy we know what we're getting.
