ago. This arc is almost directly overhead with an ice cloud to refract the sun and make an arc. It's never a circle but can be 270 degrees. The rainbow arc we saw in NC was close to 180 degrees and was a welcome sight. (Sorry no photo.)

"The justness of individual land right is not justifiable to those to whom the land by right of first claim collectively belonged"
That is an amazing sky shot.
I spend a lot of my time searching the skies for strangeness but rarely find anything except when I`m not actively looking.
Then it`s on.

(Finally, I find what I was looking for. My "Turbo Ball" is acting up so it`s hard for me to navigate.
I`ve pulled out the ball from my mouse mouth, cleaned all the "belly button lint "out but I still have to (wet my fingers) to get a response from my rolling ball.
I should post what I have rather than complete my search, before I lose everything.
Y`all have a great evening now, ya hear.

Btw; does anyone know where they hold the international voyeurs convention?
The Peking Hilton.
And did you go over Tioga pass to get there or take highway 395? Where were you heading?
I had to fight work comp for over 5 years after I was injured waiting for surgery so I had time to travel with my little trailer and went to that area on my way to Mammoth lakes. I think you said that you didn't get there, right?
If not and you get back there I'm sure you would love to go there.
It's so hard to photograph and I was using a film camera and didn't have enough film.
This is from a hike I took and the mountains are the backside of Yosemite which I found boring after growing up with Glacier park.
This is Crystal Crag and there are 5 lakes in the same area
This was my little trailer that I hauled all over Northern California and would drive to the Sierra, find a fire road and pull off in a clearing and camp where no one was around.
It was a rental that had been beat to hell and I painted it white and it was big enough for the 3 of us. Unfortunately I had it stored at my friend's house and the river flooded and filled it with water and shorted out the wiring and destroyed the floor boards. Sigh. But happy memories remain of our times in it.
in Yosemite National Park, you get an outstanding view of all of Mono Lake with Dana Plateau in the foreground. From the summit you can see the bowl shape of Mono Lake and the rocky rim around it that once was the lake level.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
The area where I walked used to have a farm on it, but the city bought him out and created a golf course, but there was enough land left and it had walking and biking trails for miles.
I lived just up the street from this place and walked for hours every day.
I could go down this trail that's next to the golf course and walk next to a river and then get to the area by the dawg picture.
The first picture in my first comment with the trees is just below the two trails or I could go the other way where the fog/dawgs photo was taken.
When we found out that they were going to put a bike path in we kept pulling the stakes out because a lot people were able to walk dawgs off leash and when the bike path went in people would tell us "it's against the law not to leash your dawg" no matter how far away we were from them.
Here's the bike path that connected to another park and it was 10 miles long.
These were my two walking buddies, Bodega and Beagle Bailey.
I loved looking for golf balls and found over 2,000-3,000, and Bo loved to find them too.
People would hit them out of bounds and I'd have Bo find them for them.
I sure miss that place and still can walk every trail in my mind
I don't think that I can do this on my Mac because the program for it is windows only.
I have a shutter release cable that I can program to take pictures at certain intervals, but then I need to stack them and the only photo program for that needs to be windows OS.
Has anyone else tried to do this?

We had a wonderful view of the circumzenithial arc two days

Thanks Joe

Mono Lake: If you climb Mt Dana, a 13er & the 2nd highest peak
in Yosemite National Park, you get an outstanding view of all of Mono Lake with Dana Plateau in the foreground. From the summit you can see the bowl shape of Mono Lake and the rocky rim around it that once was the lake level.

That timelaps Video is amazing & love the
fog and dogs picture. I love fog pictures in general but the composition with the dogs is wonderful and the dogs made me smile.

I have not done time lapse photography
but I know there's plenty of photographers at ugly hedgehog (http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/) that should be able to help you out.
