I love the small yellow bird. The bees on the flowers are captured nicely. Heck, all the pictures are beautifully done. Thanks so much for sharing.

"The “jumpers” reminded us that one day we will all face only one choice and that is how we will die, not how we will live." Chris Hedges on 9/11
A noiseless patient spider,
I mark’d where on a little promontory it stood isolated,
Mark’d how to explore the vacant vast surrounding,
It launch’d forth filament, filament, filament, out of itself,
Ever unreeling them, ever tirelessly speeding them.
And you O my soul where you stand,
Surrounded, detached, in measureless oceans of space,
Ceaselessly musing, venturing, throwing, seeking the spheres to connect them,
Till the bridge you will need be form’d, till the ductile anchor hold,
Till the gossamer thread you fling catch somewhere, O my soul.
For the first time in 32 years there are new Toucan chicks at the San Diego Zoo. The chicks hatched on May 11th and 12th. Two months old and there almost as big as mom.
That's mom on the right.

I'm great at multi-tasking. I can waste time, be unproductive, and procrastinate all at the same time.
I finally remembered to take my camera on my walk tonight, but the batteries were dead. Of course it worked when I started out. Oh well, there's always tomorrow night.
The sunsets have been incredible because of the fires in Nevada and California. Their smokey air has invaded our state.
I liked the contrast of the birds and tree.
This headstone is for the 50 men who died while building a train trestle over the Great Salt Lake.
The trestle changed the color of the water and the salinity of the lake.
Thinking about how so much of our huge buildings and infrastructure was built without the tools that are available today is stunning.
From this bridge, the Golden Gate and the other huge bridges and towering skyscrapers and other things that were built during the 1800's just boggles my mind.
I'm a bit late tonight; it's been a crazy day. Work was long and stupid, then I had to bake a cake I'm making for our mechanic tomorrow, then watched the GoT panel from Comic Con while that was in the oven. Anyway here are some photos!
We didn't find the white ibis at Farmington Bay, but we did see a bunch of cattle egrets.
This is the best photo I got; they were pretty far away, and I finally figured out that my camera was having a hard time focusing on anything from the heat reflecting off the ground. It's been pretty hot here for several weeks. But at least I got these for my life list.
snowy egret
eared grebes with babies
My husband took this one of a female red-winged blackbird.
Some landscapes from around FBWMA as requested by @Snoopydawg:
We walked down this road a bit on account of the gate was closed to vehicles. The grebes, coots, and ibises didn't think much of us walking by though.
I don't know what that white ball-thing is; do you know @snoopydawg? This is looking north/northwest.
This western kingbird at Decker Lake happily posed for me.
(Don't know what that flying ibis had in his beak)
@Daenerys
I don't remember what the white ball is, but I think it has something to do with an energy company. Not sure.
You were pointing north/northeast. I find that easy to remember because the mountains are east and the lake is west of Ogden. In case anyone is interested, the mountain peak on the left of her picture with the white ball in it is Ben Lomand which is the Paramount studios logo you see at the start of their films. I once road my motorcycle up to the peak when i was very young and not so smart. As they say, it isn't the fall that will kill you, it's the landing.
And you captured how bad our air is from the fires in NV and CA that the jet stream deposited here. Makes for beautiful sunsets tho.
Nice picture of the rainbow. What night was that taken on and did you get any rain? We haven't, but it has been cloudy.
I love the picture of the Snowy Egret. They have a special place in my heart.
Hope you will have somewhere to go for birding photos when you move.

Muy bueno boriscleto
What kind of bird is the yellow one?
I want a Pony!
I believe it's an American Goldfinch

Don't you dare
touch the thistle.
Beautiful pics of the American Goldfinch.
Regardless of the path in life I chose, I realize it's always forward, never straight.
Sweet dreams.

This is an interesting article on the materials that was needed to build the train trestle in 1860.
The Great Salt Lake’s Railroad Causeway
This one is a small blurb on building the trestle.
