Living area, kitchen, bath (between the sheets), dog area & bedroom. Living area will have a u-shaped settee with table on passenger side.
Kitchen & Bath:
Kitchen will be open with only fridge and sink. We're looking at a rolling island to be secured while on the road for max flexibility and space.
Bathroom:
A single, sloped floor with toilet on left and shower where the tables are.
Kennels & Bedroom:
We'll be putting a bunch of kennels in here, floor to ceiling, right behind the bathroom. The bed is a bit small, but it's what we have available right now. A few more crates will go on the opposite side.

I am reminded of travelling by train, only the passengers are all dogs in bunks. I had first imagined them all piled together in a dormitory area of the bus ; ). The last photo is very entertaining. What is s/he trying to do?

Our dogs are pretty naughty when it comes to getting on things. It's what we teach them to do, and we do so in a way to create a little working addict -- not unlike what happens to Americans, not joking either...
But keeping them off of things is a constant battle.
The design for the bus, aka: the Jolly Collie (like Jolly Roger), is really tough. We're trying to keep everything as open as possible so we can maintain a 2 room feel and use. If we have 2 rooms, of any size, the dogs, and the people, can be comfy.
What we are essentially doing is a fairly traditional, if spartan, tour bus set up, but instead of the six bunks in front of the master bedroom / gathering area, it will be kennels on each side.
We're getting ready to pare down our home / training studio into a road version. It's a pretty stark reality moving to simple living. We've been on the road for the last two years, but we've always just had our stuff in the Studio.
It's a pretty exciting project and lifestyle move. People are very interested in it. Should be a fun ride.

Scientists are concerned that conspiracy theories may die out if they keep coming true at the current alarming rate.
He is a 3 year old rescued Baussie (Border Collie / Australian Shepherd). He's a "Runtanado", one of 5 siblings that are all playing with elite handlers in the disc dog world.
My GF has his sister from previous litter, they come from neighboring farms in MN that, apparently, don't believe in spay/neuter. After we saw what my GF got in her dog, several of us were very interested in the next "oops" litter they had. The rescue that pulled them really saved these dogs too. The litter that my GF got her dog from were pulled from an unheated barn in MN winter.
Epic is a world finalist in a few disc dog disciplines and was the LCQ winner at the West Coast Incredible Dog Challenge this year. He might get some TV time this year.

to all of our excellent C99P photographers for sharing your work with us!
A special thanks to k9disc for posting pics of his bus, and of his very handsome and super smart Border Collie!
Couldn't get a screenshot of the list of the Top Ten Smartest Dogs (due to the browser I'm using), so I'll post a link to the chart. Of course, the Border Collie tops that chart.
Everyone have a nice weekend. Beautiful weather in our neck of the woods, especially for traveling.

I went on a cattle round up and the owners had a bunch of border collies that he'd tell them to "get them up" and they would go down into ravines, up steep hills and other places that were too difficult for horses to get and they'd bring them back to the group.
I rescued a border collie/Australian shepherd mix and she was the only dawg I gave away. She had too much energy and I couldn't get her attention to discipline her. My friend had a cattle ranch and when I took her to visit, she started herding cows so I let her stay there. This was a good decision for her even though I missed her terribly.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.
Migration season brings a host of interesting birds through here. There's a trail by my husband's college where I go walking Monday-Thursday mornings while he's in class; there's usually something interesting to see there. Yesterday I went looking for kinglets; I watched some golden-crowned kinglets, and upon reviewing photos later was delighted to find I had also gotten a ruby-crowned kinglet; both are lifers! They are so tiny and they never sit still so it's nigh impossible to get a good photo of one, but I managed to get both!
golden-crowned kinglet
ruby-crowned kinglet
I had to crop both of these quite a bit. I also decided to start watermarking my photos; literally our first day there I ran into a guy who has an (online I guess?) art gallery--he noticed my camera and started talking about photography. You just never know.
Anyway, another migrant we have is the yellow-rumped warbler. They're so cute!
Also saw some in our yard for the first time; they were everywhere for about two weeks but now they're mostly gone. (The cats got two of them too. Sigh.)
And here's my first halfway decent photo of a blue jay; I sure missed them when I was in Utah. I'm getting better at photographing birds in trees.
I love Warblers for their sweetness and their lyrical voices.
