A Few Quick Meta Items

Evening folks.

We will be going into maintenance mode on and off late in the evening for the next week or two to do Drupal core and various software updates. If you see us down it shouldn't be for long.

If anyone wants to change their username I can and will easily do that for you. Send me a PM--Type my username JtC into the "To" filed of the private messaging service and it will get through to me. Clicking on my username will not work.

We have added a Blog Roll down at the bottom in the left sidebar, if you have a personal website you'd like to have listed let me know. Make a recommendation if you have any preferences for other blogs/web sites/news sites you'd like to see listed list there.

If you get a chance mosey on over to the new kid in town, The Progressive Wing, register and send them some love.

the side bar Blog Roll Bar is a great idea. I have a few blogs, news and websites I would like to reference and acquaint people with. I also welcome new places to explore and visit. Thanks again for this most welcome and growing place.

at the same time that we change our username, may we also change our email address, or would that complicate things too much?

I'd like to see a few economics blogs on the blog role, but am having to use a 2nd generation chrome book until my brand new lap top gets fixed - yes, 2 months old and it died completely - which will take up to 4 weeks, as I don't know how to copy link on my old chrome book.

If they don't want to, then do whatever you want.

If it were me, I'd still post some, but not others depending upon lots of factors - like whether they otherwise routinely provide outside links to political blogs, their content, etc....

Anyway, just a thought.

that does a "blog round up" of sorts. It's actually the ONLY reason I go to it, as I don't like the blog owner much, and I'm not alone so he's lost a lot of his writers.

If I wasn't so lazy, it would be a cool thing for me to do. But, alas, I'm too lazy. But it is the only thing that he has going that still drives traffic.

Wish you'd consider a work-in-progress list of frequently used acronyms here, which we can all add to. Not knowing what so many savvy diarists are talking about because they use acronyms, unsparingly, is very frustrating, especially to newcomers. If this site is to grow, I think it would be downright neighborly to provide an aid to help the confused, like me, get up to speed.
