FBI Delays Release of Communications With Firm That Examined DNC Servers

FBI Delays Release of Communications With Firm That Examined DNC Servers

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has pushed back the estimated completion date of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for documents pertaining to its communications with the security firm that examined the Democratic National Committee's hacked servers to October.

The Washington Free Beacon submitted the FOIA request in July 2017 with the FBI seeking all communication between the bureau and CrowdStrike, Inc., the California-based cyber security firm that examined the DNC's servers following the infiltration that led to the release of John Podesta's emails. The FBI said in December the documents should be available by March.

*

The FBI previously awarded an unrelated $150,000 contract to CrowdStrike in July 2015. Details and communications between the firm and the bureau regarding that past contract were requested as part of the FOIA.

The DNC previously claimed that the FBI had never asked for access to its servers. However, former FBI Director James Comey testified that the bureau had sought access to the servers numerous times.

"Ultimately, what was agreed to is the private company would share with us what they saw," Comey said last year in reference to CrowdStrike.

Well, this is interesting. We must have the most incompetent, inefficient, bumbling bunch of shits running our government on Earth. Obviously it’s really really hard to figure out how to copy and send out docs that they already have in their possession. It makes me wonder what the hell kind of morons are we, the taxpayers, paying to employ? I want my tax dollars spent on people who can reprint or copy docs and then figure how to send them out, not a bunch of lying lumps trying to screw us while collecting a taxpayer funded salary.

Snark aside, I can see why they’re holding onto THIS particular batch of info though. It has the potential to put a stake in the heart of the DNC lawsuit they filed against RUSSIA! (ridiculously futile gesture) Trump campaign, etc. See:

Watch, they won’t get them in October either. Not just before the election. There will be a new excuse and a stall for more time. The idiot Dims think they’ll take back the House and Impeach Cheetolini. That’s why they’ll make sure those docs don’t see the light of day in October either.

I thought that the DNC hired CrowdStrike themselves? And then when they said that Russia hacked them, the FBI wanted to look at their computers?

However, former FBI Director James Comey testified that the bureau had sought access to the servers numerous times.

So why would the FBI award CS the contract and they then tell the FBI that they can't look at them? Seriously, no wonder people don't believe half the crap they are told.

BTW, the Joy Reid homophobic rants are being blamed on Russia and its bots! Oh Lordy, they can't be serious, can they? HarHarHa! And Reid is saying that she doesn't believe that she would have said those things. Even though she had said them before. You just can't make this stuff up. That people are buying this is incredible. But that's what happens when people lose their minds.

Another BTW. The Russian lawyer who met with Donald Jr says that she is a Kremlin informant!

Well, that's what the headline states. But what she actually says is that yes she has ties to a person who then has connections with the Kremlin. Not her being the informant, someone else is. This is how the stories have been spread since Russia Gate started. The headline says something definitely, but inside the article it's different information. But what do people remember? The headline, of course.

The contract between FBI and CS was not related to the DNC server, it was for other services in 2015. DNC hired CS to accuse Russia of hacking their server -- er, to examine the server -- in 2016. FBI asked CS to share their findings and turn over the server but CS refused, likely under orders from Clinton or DWS, because it would blow their blame Russia strategy out of the water.

The work of anyone who approached the problem forensically, ultimately pointed directly at CrowdStrike as the perpetrator. Not as the gentleman who actually downloaded the emails to a thumbdrive, which was then handed over to Wikileaks. That was done just before CrowdStrike was brought on board. What the forensics specialists see is a concocted report of a hacking with concocted self-damning evidence that was created under CrowdStrike's watch.

I notice that these releases always omit the fact that the co-founder of the relatively new CrowdStrike is the former head of Cyber Security for the FBI. He joined forces with a whacky Ukrainian exile, who exercises his anti-Russian fanaticism at the Atlantic Council, where he is a fellow.

Hillary and Podesta where she told him that she was worried that the information would damage her candidacy and that Her campaign and the DNC should blame the leak on Russia. This gave Russia Gate more legs for it to go viral. Trump had already been accused of being Putin's puppet during the election, but this got more people believing in it.

of the FBI wanted documents, because they will be needed for Trump's counter suit, a demand for which other named defendants will join.

• How the DNC contributed to the fake dossier, using Fusion GPS along with the Clinton Campaign as the basis for the launch of a phony investigation.

Why the FBI was never allowed access to the DNC servers in the course of their investigation into the Clinton e-mail scandal.

• How the DNC conspired to hand Hillary Clinton the nomination over Bernie Sanders.

• How officials at the highest levels of the DNC colluded with the news media to influence the outcome of the DNC nomination.

• Management decisions by Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Donna Brazile, Tom Perez, and John Podesta; their e-mails, personnel decisions, budgets, opposition research, and more.

This is all going to come out if the idiot Dims continue to pursue their own conspiracy theory. Even if the DNC suit does not survive initial judicial review for legitimacy, I am fairly sure the named defendants will push counter suits--plural.

@Alligator Ed At the very least keeping both parties tied up with this nonsense might keep them away from whatever else they’re wanting to do. Hell, we could even luck out and have them reach mutually assured destruction. And who knows, maybe we’ll even get some truth out of this?
