And less people seem to;

American Stores Are Far From Overwhelmed as Black Friday Sales Begin

Still, the store was not overwhelmed after the doors opened—a scene replicated across the country on what used to be the biggest shopping day of the year.

Tracy Watkins, a Bed, Bath and Beyond BBBY 0.24% store manager at the Chicago Ridge Mall, said “nobody was busting down the doors at 6 a.m.” as the temperature lurked below freezing.

The popularity of Black Friday has been on the wane over the past couple of years as more stores open earlier—even on Thanksgiving—and online retailers offer Black Friday-type deals year-round

.

And this;

Black Friday violence: Shootings at Nevada Walmart, New Jersey Macy’s, Tennessee mall kill 2, injure 2

At least four people were shot across the country during Black Friday sales, including a Walmart customer who died in a fight over a parking space.

Three separate shootings — at a New Jersey Macy’s, a Tennessee mall and a Nevada Walmart — killed two people and wounded two more. All the attacks happened outside of the stores as holiday shoppers inside loaded up on door busters and deals.

The political revolution continues

that black friday shopping is on the wane is great news. one can only hope that the orgy of consumerism that characterizes the holidays of "peace on earth, goodwill towards men" continues to diminish in favor of a different cultural expression.

Here is what I wrote after reading many freak-outs about the Latest (whatever that may be). I have a few Likes for this:

Folks, do not read the MSM. Stay calm and collected to read the real wind, which may be only winter. We, citizens of the USA, are being played/gamed, pick your choice. I believe this is all internal, Russia is the target now because the PTB are a tiny bit scared of China. It's all inside, to break us into factions again. We all want a better life for us, our children and grandchildren. We, not They, should talk amongst ourselves and make our own decisions. Federal government is useless for many of us until we are on SS. Any government who tries to bleed more out of that is an enemy. Of Americans.

I am attempting to make others look forward, as to what they want and desire 50 years from now. That seems to me the way to begin organizing.

that looks like a good start. it would be great if the people who are suddenly waking up to find out that things around them are unacceptable would also waken to the fact that they could change it if everybody works together.

This man should be in rehab not given an important position, National Security Advisor in the Federal government.

Flynn’s temper also flared. He berated people in front of colleagues. Soon, according to former associates, a parallel power structure developed within the D.I.A. to fence him in, and to keep the nearly seventeen-thousand-person agency working. “He created massive antibodies in the building,” the former colleague said.

I wish there was a way for people protesting DAPL, the illegal wars, spying and everything else that our government is doing against our wishes to understand that if people go a week or longer without buying anything but essential items then maybe if the company's profits take a big enough hit they'd get the message that we are fed up and that we do have some power left to us.
It's proven that they don't give a shit about what we want or don't want, but somehow we have to make them stop screwing us over and keep making their friends happy.
There has to be some way to get them to work for us instead of against us, doesn't there? Or is this just a dream of mine?

Which AIPAC/MIC/pharma/bank bought politician are you going to vote for? Don’t be surprised when nothing changes.

a consumer strike is something that i've always wanted to see tried. it would certainly be hard to get full participation, but even significant participation would certainly get some attention.

but wanted to wish Everyone a nice and safe holiday weekend.

Earlier today, when I reread my so-called Medicare comment (from last evening), I realized that it basically amounted to word salad. Sorry--I'll try to rectify it next week.

Thanks for the tunes, Joe. Look forward to listening to them (tomorrow), as I go through more agonizing hours of pouring over Plan D drug formularies. Words cannot express how happy I'll be to have this onerous chore completed.

Whew!

Bye

Mollie

Everyone thinks they have the best dog, and none of them are wrong.

I am 1.5 years away. I am currently one of the luckies with NY state-subsided insurance, as a former employee. I am paying as a single, under $100/month. New rates for 2017 just came out and the increase is a few dollars/month. So I am spoiled, and expect/fear that I will pay more to be in the same pool with my 96 y/o mother, recently Dx'ed with Lewy Body dementia. Also she is in end-stage renal failure. What a drag it it getting old.
