I voted early
but I know 3 people who will vote for Stein after I poured my heart out to them.
As for myself, I didn't vote for a single Democrat. I voted green when I could, voted for a personal friend running a write in Republican campaign against a horrible judge.

Cool. I will vote for Jill too
Maybe my subtle avatar gave me away?
And I too am voting green in any race its available. In keeping with the Johnny Cash theme.

Florida here, early voted for Jill and ammendments only
I blanked both major parties completely. I think this is the first time ever. My federal slate was Clinton, Patrick Murphy, and Stephanie Murphy. That's three huge NOs from me. I won't vote for this shit anymore.
Bernie or Jill:
Because fuck this shit.
I went into publix today wearing my Bernie shirt
I started an argument between 2 people behind the counter. One was arguing that we should be writing in Bernie. The other countered that, no, you need to vote for Jill because they won't count the write in. I smiled pretty huge at that debate.
Wow! Both had alternates planned.
I'm impressed about looking into and knowing the write-in rules.

I've just been pretty disgusted with things in general so I've been running a little low key on the politics. So I just pop in when the mood strikes. I'm sure I'll catch my breath after this election and be right back in the thick of it.
Might I respectfully suggest...
wear green at the polling place. See if you can't annoy the poll watchers. If they become too obnoxious, you can request your local PD to remove them.

Have a big green and orange Jill 2016 button on the hoodie
I've been wearing for the past few weeks.
Will not be taking it off when I go to vote at some point today.
I'm not confident the vote totals, especially 3rd party, will be accurately counted and reported by the press. There is very good reason to expect that a considerable amount of people will voice their disgust by taking a chance this year. But this scares the PTB and they will not chance giving any encouragement to the unwashed masses to think for themselves.
So as of today I will have voted for Jill Stein more than any other candidate in my life.
This election season has been such a fucking sham in every way possible.
All these little dupes so proud today to do their civic duty of voting for the lesser of two evils then post their little pictures with "I voted" stickers on FarceBook. Must feel so fulfilling, huh? Does Hillary now come and put out cookies and milk for them too?

State by State
Official state totals should be closer to accurate at least out here. I really have no idea how things will go here in Washington and Oregon. In my circle the upper crust are voting hillary. The loggers Trump with a few Johnson. The rest or the largest group appears to be for Stein. May give us some interesting numbers here in Washington and Oregon.
I have a feeling this will be an appropriate symbol of the day,
but I hope I'm wrong.

My 96 year old mom and I both voted
Jill. Lots of people around here seem to be doing that. My home town once the most solid blue county in the state appears to be on the cusp of greeness for this election. Fear mongering just pisses people off here. Hillary has Bill to thank for that.
Just Voted Green Across The Races.
Jill for POTUS. Then poor ole Dem Senator Dick Blumenthal (He's with Her) lost my vote for an obscure Green candidate (Jeff Russell). Dems may you reap what you have sown.
Polling place was the busiest I have seen it ever (smallish town, 31000 people). But things moved right along with literally zero wait time.

I just voted.
I know this will annoy some here, but I wrote in Bernie Sanders since I'm in Vermont and it will count.
Very few Democrats got my vote today, including Patrick Leahy. I chose Progressive/Green/Liberty Union when available. Spaceman Lee got my vote for governor.
Interestingly enough, on my 2-mile walk to the polls, I saw not a SINGLE sign for Her Highness -- including outside the door. I found that encouraging. There were 8 or 9 along the route for Trump.
Now we wait ...
I'm grateful to have the C99 community today.
Good for you
I concur with your statement- I am grateful for the C99 community all the time especially today.
I think it would be fabulous if Bernie took Vermont!
Even the Mormon dude taking Utah would be a good thing IMO. And, I am expecting Jill to blow everyone out of the water!

It will be fitting for Bernie to win Vermont
Regardless of where he ended up (ugh), he did inspire a boat load of people to get involved and start thinking progressive. And hopefully in the remaining states that translates to Bernistas crossing over to Greens and breaking the 5% barrier.

Another vote for Stein.
I voted along with more people than I usually see at the polling place here in California. I think there will be a larger than expected turnout even if millennials don't vote as the polls say they won't. I announced to one of the poll workers that "never have so many been offered so little" and she smiled and covered her mouth with her hand like a gag. I had on my hat with the Green Party button on it and no one challenged it. There was even the first exit poll I have ever seen outside. This disgusting display of corruption seems to have motivated people. I just hope they are motivated to throw the rascals out. I voted for no Democrats or Republicans for the Federal offices but did vote for two Democrats for State Senate and Assembly because they vote well and truly left.

Right on Polkageist. Wear your GP stuff, publicly voice disgust.
I don't have much, really any, confidence in the votes being counted honestly. These people have taken all the wrong lessons from Orwell and Huxley, and have spliced them onto a mastering of the tactics Goebbels and Goering to pacify and scare a population into molding them for their own nefarious purposes.
But I will also stand in opposition to this fraudulent sham of an election in every way possible. As a small gesture of that I will do the same and wear a Jill2016 button when going to vote and will think of something clever to say aloud to voice what everyone's thinking about this year's farce.
Thanks for you wise essays and commentary too. I've been meaning to tell you that for some time now.

Voted happily for
Jill Stein, cheerfully voted against Sheriff Joe Arpiaio, for legal weed and a small increase (still not enough) to the state minimum wage. We also have a progressive running for Maricopa County Attorney named Diego Rodriguez who has a slim chance at beating the right-wing a-hole in office now, and I was happy to cast a vote for him.
Locally, we might actually finally rid our state of Sheriff Joe Arpaio. That alone makes this election important.
I concur
Especially since he has cost the taxpayers so much money! I heard the contempt charge was upheld, but not whether he actually has to go wear a pink jumpsuit with the illegals he's imprisoned. What's the update on that?
Peace.

Still up in the air
His followers actually claim he can still be sheriff even if he is convicted, due to Arizona law and because its a federal charge. Hopefully he'll lose and it won't matter. Then he can shuffle off to wherever insane 80-year-old angry racists go to quietly retire. Probably wishful thinking, but at least he won't be persecuting decent, hard-working people for the crime of going to work anymore.
Voted early by mail
But my ballot must have looked just like yours. Voted for the same people and issues. Checked the status on line and it said my ballot was received and counted. We'll see.

It was dead in 2014 too. Maybe about 5 people of all ages, including Millenials. Turned in my mail-in ballot and got a sticker. Voted Green where I could.
Saw this on r/WayoftheBern this morning and just had to share it. Please, please, please let them get to 5%.

My voting scene is a trip
in the small Sunday school classroom at the friendship baptist church. There is a small table where you sit and fill out your ballot as the locals try to casually look over your shoulder. It is a paper ballot that you feed into a machine. Alabama is weird on so many levels, but one is our constitution which requires everyone in the state to vote to allow counties to change their laws. We had 14 amendments to vote on today. Took two weeks of homework to figure them out.
I'm curious to see how many folks will vote Jill in my area. I know she got at least 4 votes at my polling place. I suspect more will go Johnson. T-rump is the big winner based on yard signs. Every time I drive down our road, I feel like it is T-rump gauntlet. We generally have 200 or so vote at our location. The poll seemed busier than usual. I thought people might be disgusted and not vote, but that hasn't been playing out. We'll see what we see.
“Until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream.”
Lol!
Another AL voter here. There were more amendments than contested races on my ballot.

over! Well, almost over. There's another week of post-analysis, but at least we don't have to suffer the ads or the candidates! 2018 starts tomorrow, but today we rest.

Greetings, fellow Kentuckian!
(I'm in Lex). I had read that KY was a lock for Trump, although I know the state voted for Clinton the Bill twice, so I don't know what to expect really. I think it may be close. Still couldn't bring myself to vote for either evil. I voted Stein. We will see.
I hope you voted for Jim Gray. He's better than his ads.

busy polls in our little town
turn out good, poll workers efficient, moved right thru. Voted Stein and independents where I could. Rejected all the pork belly referendums except for a stronger ethics commission. There were some exasperated folks, some nervous tension evident. One old guy tripped at the door and busted his forehead on the pavement. Must be the high threshold for getting in? Hope for the best!

Voted Green here
in NY where I could. A young lady handing out flyers for a city initiative asked was I going to vote? I wave my scarf and said Green! Button would have been better. The initiative was to spend more money, like3xas much on...street paving! We have quite adequate street maintenance here and I can think of lots of better places to put extra money such as expanded public transit.

voted by "mail" the other day
actually just put the ballot in the envelope and dropped it off at the library. Several days ago, too, and there was a minor line at 2 in the afternoon. That is, a reasonably steady stream of people. I think I waited 8 seconds until the person before me dropped her ballot into the box. Shaz dropped hers off yesterday.
I voted for one Democrat. There were no Green or Progressive or "Independent" alternatives. Voted against the incumbent Democrats for House of Representatives, Senator, etc. and left the spot for Governor blank. Our current Governor is in the office because our previous one was such a crook that he had to resign. Meanwhile the new one, Kate Brown, lost me quickly when she decided that the vote to keep Nestle out of the bottled water business in Cascade Locks (a town in the Columbia Gorge) would be "considered" as she tries to make that deal happen. Like I said, it got voted on by the residents and they voted 2 to 1 to stop Nestle. Yet the Guv is happy to figure a way around it.
Voted for a bunch of measures, against a few. Voted for the Green Party candidates for President and Vice-President. I think Jill will probably get about 2% here in Oregon and that will likely be one of her higher totals. I'm expecting another half of one percent for her nationally.
Anyway, don't some states close in 3 hours? And a lot in 4 hours. 7 hours to go on the West Coast. That's when I start criticizing the President-Elect.
as day goes on here feel I'm in a Hillary matrix.
Took a little cruise by my polling station on my way to riding my bike to have lunch. Spotted a little patriotic-looking sign on the window of the bar restaurant at the corner. They were offering a shot to anyone who came in with an "I Voted" sticker. Voting in America has apparently now become like rewarding children for doing their homework by putting a star at the top of their paper.
Just now as I'm speaking this into my phone I came across the first-ever Clinton Kaine yard sign seen in these parts. Turning the corner on to the next block so are you a hipster with the ubiquitous sticker on his sweatshirt. This morning when I went to reyrieve the car parked blocks away late last night I saw something I have not seen anywhere yet: a Johnson sticker on the back of someone's car.
When I got to the school where I have cast my vote for the last 10 years first thing I see as a police officer walking the sidewalk in front of the entrance. I'm aghast, and ask him if he's done this before. Kind of mindlessly he says they have. I said I've never seen a police officer inside or at the polling location ever before in my life. He walked back his answer and says that yeah we are stationed at polling places today. So I asked him if the precinct has assigned offices to every polling location. He said yes. I begin a conversation about media fear-mongering and say it is completely overblown. He sort of agreed, and says if something's going to happen it'll probably happen in Manhattan anyway. I say nothing's going to happen, I'm sure of it. He then begins to explain, after I ask, that the police department is like its own little country. Asked to explain he says they can find anybody at any time if they need to, saying that a hit-and-run driver if someone had the license plate would be caught around the block almost literally. Didn't ask him to elaborate but he seemed assured they were in possession of lot more than that.
Coming upon the Thai restaurant saw a woman walking down the street with an I'm with Her button. Also now, a little later on in the day, I'm seeing those annoying little stickers everywhere (the bigger size and preponderance of them creepily reminds me of the ubiquitousness of how the American flag began appearing on every bus, subway and public space post 9/11, no doubt a Karl Rove propaganda coup. The $hills only steal from the best!).
An hour later in sitting having tea outside enjoying the day reading and typing, a Moroccan woman activist I know calls my name. She's with her daughter and a friend. Says she just came from voting. I ask for who? Says her. I smile and point to my Jill button, her? No, she smiles back, Hillary. Maybe the Muslim bashing became too much for her. I didn't ask.
As the sun begins setting over NYC I begin to wonder if voting today is even worth it, in this Matrix climate. This bizarre coming-out party is especially disorienting and depressing, because this district was one of the very few in NYC to go for Bernie.
I ruminate on all I've seen in the last couple of hours out and about. I think, you all lacked the courage of your convictions to stand in public support of your shifty, horrible, deeply loathed candidate until today. Weasels.
Indicative of this, the only bumpersticker I saw in my area up until today was, check this out, some phony who had three Clinton/Kaine stickers on the back window of the car. But they were TAPED onto the insides of the windows. Now THAT'S commitment. Sort of like the profusion of nauseating gold Support Our Troops magnets on the backs of middle class folks who didn't want to mess up their precious cars by putting a permanent sticker on them.
Just like true Neoliberals. No conviction, because their consciences are a fraud.

Voted about 4 PM and no other voters were there!
YUGE difference from this morning, when they were mobbed about 10 AM. Voted Jill, that was fun! No downballot Indies or progressives, so voted Dem. Four slots for soil and conservation district supervisors and only two people running, so I voted for them and then wrote in my friends, LOL! Someone may have a new job tomorrow they didn't apply for!
Four "officials" at the polls so I asked them who they represented etc. They are two Dems and two Reps and they say that's what they always do. So one more way Trump is a moran - there are already Repugs monitoring the voting. No DOJ observers here, they thought there might be some downtown.
They did tell me that they had "technical difficulties" earlier, the machines weren't recording the votes properly! But supposedly they fixed that. Fingers crossed that they did fix it, not just inadvertently help the hackers better hide their work.
Two black, two white monitors. Considering there are about a dozen blacks total in Lexington, that's pretty impressive minority representation! (I kid, we're about 81% white; similar sized cities are about 45% white though)

Voted a while back
Checked the SoS site last week and it had been "received and will be counted".
Voted Stein and Menconi for Senate, the only Greens on the ticket. Voted for one Democrat (Congress) that I'm having second thoughts about already, but is much better than the pro-fracking dufus they ran two years ago and the Teabagger incumbent. Nothing but Republicans for local offices. I got to vote for single payer healthcare and an increase in the minimum wage. Maybe those will actually count for something.

Voted down party for Green Party in statewide votes where available, local stuff was mostly uncontested Republican and didn't vote. For Prez, since my state's most recent poll last night favored Hillary, I decided best way to stop her was a vote for Trump/Pence. (Never thought I'd do that!) Able to vote for Bernie progressive for congress, running against long time Repub incumbent.
