Did The Cyber Kill the Drumpf Campaign?

Lester Holt, Moderator: Our next segment is called securing America. We want to start with a 21st century war happening every day in this country, our institutions are under cyber attack, and our secrets are being stolen. So my question is who's behind it and how do we fight it?

Donald Trump: I do want to say that I was just endorsed and more are coming next week, it will be over 200 admirals. Many of them are here, admirals and generals endorsed me to lead this country. That just happened. And many more are coming. And I'm very proud of it. In addition, I was just endorsed by the ICE. So when Secretary Clinton talks about I'll take the admirals and generals any day over the political hacks.

Look at the mess that we're in. Look at the mess that we're in. As far as the cyber, I agree to parts of what Secretary Clinton said, we should be better than anybody else, and perhaps we're not. I don't know if we know it was Russia who broke into the DNC.

She's saying Russia, Russia, Russia. Maybe it was. It could also be China, it could be someone sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds. You don't know who broke into DNC, but what did we learn? We learn that Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of by your people. By Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Look what happened to her. But Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of. Now, whether that was Russia, whether that was China, whether it was another country, we don't know, because the truth is, under President Obama we've lost control of things that we used to have control over. We came in with an internet, we came up with the internet.

And I think Secretary Clinton and myself would agree very much, when you look at what ISIS is doing with the internet, they're beating us at our own game. ISIS. So we have to get very, very tough on cyber and cyber warfare. It is a, it is a huge problem. I have a son.

He's 10 years old. He has computers. He is so good with these computers, it's unbelievable. The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough. And maybe it's hardly do-able. But I will say, we are not doing the job we should be doing, but that's true throughout our whole governmental society. We have so many things that we have to do better, Lester and certainly cyber is one of them.

Having Hiding Hillary pimping her own miserable book and her lying website was more hurtful.

He just lost that as an effective platform.

It's worse than Bush and the supermarket scanner. Worse than Dukakis in the tank.

I think it's a huge gaffe. I'll be surprised if he can survive it.

Most of the tweets have very few likes, even though some of them have been retweeted a few hundred times. Comparatively speaking, that's not a lot. Plus, a couple of the top tweets are by Cenk. If you scroll down to the bottom of the search, a lot of the results aren't even from last night's debate, but date back to September 9, when Trump presumably used the term "the cyber" previously.

The problem is that when you're a living, breathing gaffe machine that regularly says blatantly racist and sexist things, using weird terminology seems tame by comparison. If voters are willing to overlook even worse things and vote for Trump because they don't see Hillary as a viable alternative, I don't see how "the cyber" is going to change anything, especially when we're talking about a woman who claims to understand cyber security, yet had an unsecured server in her basement that held classified information.

who called it "nucular". His word gaffes were often bad, Trump's potential future gaffes could continue the ascension of the USA as the Country bossed by the Idiot.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

be interesting to see how this affects the polls. I didn't watch but cruised over to Drudge and Red State this morning to see their take. Of course most said trump won handily but a few said he blew it. Thing is, how many undecideds are there and is this going to change anyone's mind? As for me, if she beat him to a whimpering puddle of pulp it still wouldn't induce me to vote for her. I think most people had already made up their minds on this one. We'll see.

Like so many other tried and failed narratives that Clinton and the News media have tried to use to shut down Trump, this too will fail.

Why? The people are angry with our government, the mass media, and the elite in our country. Hillary is seen by many (rightfully so) as a career politician that represents all that is wrong in our country, just like Jeb Bush during the Republican primary. And just like the Brexit, the more the establishment hates Trump, the more people who feel that they have nothing left to lose will vote for Trump.

many stupid things. The number of stupid things he has said is YUGE. We'll get some amusement out of this, but then it won't matter any further. I don't think many educated tech guys were planning to vote for him before last night. So not many minds were changed.

but Clinton doesn't know what it means; the proof is abundantly evident.
