Day 5 Ends in a Deal. Or Does it?

Lots of politicking going on but it looks like Negotiating has been achieved.

The truckers open a lane immediately to ease the Blockade and the Government ends mandates in a few days. Face Saving for the pols who adopted a We do not negotiate stance.

Pretty hard to maintain against No Retreat No Surrender masses with big rigs.

There will be much more news. Hoping for the best.

It appears that he is going to end mandates in that province. The population in the province were significantly anti-mandate to start off with.

Trudeau is Prime Minister of Canada and he is holding fast.

@CB is in Kenney's province. Getting him to back down publicly is a big deal. Even if he attempts to spin it. Even if anti-mandates were popular.

It is a crack in the wall.

the Federal government. They control whether or not one can cross back and forth w/o proof of vaccination. Right now a trucker can go across into the states but when they come back they will have to take a PCR test and quarantine for 14 days in a Federal government facility at their expense. A two day truck run would turn into 18 days - minimum.

It's a crack but Trudeau is doubling down. The leader of the Conservative party at the Federal level, O'Toole, has been turfed out by his own party. He had been sucking Trudeau's hind tit. THAT's a HUGE crack!

Police (other than city cops) are run by the RCMP in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba - which is controlled by the Feds. I think only Ontario and Quebec have their own provincial police departments.

@CB @CB

Canadian Air Force will not be coming to Ottawa to assist the Police Department.

And Provinces control the mandates. So far Saskatchewan and Alberta are blinking and look to be the first provinces to cave.

I know little to nothing about Canadian political parties. Trudeau is clearly the focus for the rage. He won with 20% so, not strong and then his cowardly outrageous behavior as Ottawa is occupied, might make it possible to dislodge him.

What and who comes next IDK. No idea.

Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements for federally regulated transportation employees and travellers

On August 13, 2021, the Government of Canada announced its intent to require COVID-19 vaccination for employees in the federally regulated air, rail, and marine transportation sectors and its travellers.

On October 6, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland announced that, as of October 30, the Government of Canada will require employers in the federally regulated air, rail, and marine transportation sectors to establish vaccination policies for their employees.

Also effective October 30, travellers departing from Canadian airports, and travellers on VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains, will be required to be fully vaccinated in order to travel. To allow travellers time to become fully vaccinated, there will be a short transition period where they will be able to travel if they show a valid COVID-19 molecular test within 72 hours of travel as an alternative to providing proof of full vaccination. If travellers have not already started the vaccination process, or do not start soon, they risk not qualifying for travel as of November 30.

Vaccine requirements for travellers

Effective October 30, air passengers departing from Canadian airports, travellers on VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains, and travellers on non-essential passenger vessels on voyages of 24 hours or more, such as cruise ships, will need to be vaccinated.

Effective October 30, travellers will need to be fully vaccinated in order to board. Specifically, the vaccination requirement will apply to all travellers 12 years of age and older who are:

  • Air passengers flying on domestic, transborder or international flights departing from airports in Canada
  • Rail passengers on VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains

every Canadian to have digital biometric ID for every person. They already require biometric photos for driver's licenses and air travel. It will eventually include purchases of age restricted goods, education, public travel (buses/cabs), health care, loans, rental, home purchases - everything that allows you to function in society. It's The Great Reset wet dream on steroids. I wonder if they will also include a social credit score like in China - where you can get demerits for jay walking or buying too much liquor? With the facial tracking software they can follow every step you take and who you converse with when in public.

Canada moving forward with a proof of vaccination for international travel

News release

August 11, 2021 – Ottawa – While Canadians should continue to avoid non-essential travel worldwide, the Government of Canada recognizes that proof of vaccination credentials will support the re-opening of societies and economies.

Canadians are looking for a more reliable and secure way to demonstrate their COVID-19 vaccination history to foreign and Canadian border officials. To that end, the Government of Canada is collaborating with the provinces and territories to develop a proof of vaccination that will facilitate cross-border travel, while reducing the risk of spread and importation of COVID-19. We are also continuing to engage with Indigenous partners across the country to ensure that a proof of vaccination credential responds to the needs and rights of Indigenous peoples.

Biometrics use by Canadian border agency increasing. Maybe it already has
Jan 25, 2022

The COVID-19 pandemic has given the impetus for sweeping technological and behavioral change across various organizations, and biometrics are often central to the reform. The Canadian Border Service Agency (CBSA) says it will adapt to bureaucratic challenges posed by the disease through greater digitalization and facial recognition as a verifying method. The expediency is noted, but civil rights activists in the country are taking note over the rise in the use of biometrics. A report from the Toronto Star says a Somali refugee was alleged to be a Kenyan citizen by the CBSA. Some worry that facial recognition technologies are employed by the border services, and argue that they are racially biased.

Liquid Avatar completes convenience store trial

Liquid Avatar Technologies has successfully finished a pilot program with the Ontario Convenience Store Association (OCSA) for an end-to-end, live working test of its Smart Age program that is to be eventually rolled out across 8,000 convenience stores in the Canadian province.

The Smart Age program provides digital age verification with support from biometric verification like a facial scan that is linked to a blockchain and stored on a digital wallet. The service allows a user to present their personal information via mobile phone app without needing to show a card ID to the store clerk. The program would ensure that customers are of legal age to purchase age-restricted goods like cigarettes, alcohol and lottery tickets, and reduce the use of fake documents and identity theft.

“The OCSA is proud to be partnered with Liquid Avatar and feel that this digitally enabled solution will go a long way to providing increased confidence to Ontario families that our channel is the most responsible when selling some of the most sensitive age restricted products in today’s ever-changing market place,” says Dave Bryans, CEO of the OCSA.
...
David Lucatch, CEO of Liquid Avatar Technologies, says, “The synergies we’re creating through providing verifiable credential technology for c-stores, retailers, services operators, educators, eCommerce, health care, Covid tests, travel-along with our provision of identity in the metaverse will transform business and consumer behavior for the benefit of both.”

has a chance of at least eliminating the mandates?

I listened to a bit of the session in parliament, and the shitlibs painted the diverse gathering as racists, fascist, and thieves. The new conservative leader asked only that they offer some sort of olive branch. Suffered through one commercial MSM which did nothing but slander.

They are baldfaced lying, and I wonder if enough people in Canada are aware of what is really happening...they sure seem to be joining in the mandate protest. Reminds me of the way they push through wars whether the people want it or not.

Meanwhile, former Newfoundland Premier, Brian Peckford, who is the last living member of the designers of The Constitution Act 1982/Charter of Rights and Freedoms is suing the federal government over the unvaxxed passenger flight ban in Federal Court.
