CNN: Gabbard to run as Russian-backed third-party spoiler

I don't know how I missed this gem (skip to the last minute).
STODDARD: …for it to come from somebody, number one and number two, she should have been ready with her response about Assad. People were hoping that the moderators were going to ask about Tulsi Gabbard’s relationship with Assad. And it is all over the internet today that the Russian bots are helping Tulsi Gabbard in going after Kamala Harris and that Tulsi Gabbard refuses to condemn Assad because she’s doing the work of the Russians and is going to run as a third-party spoiler and reelect Trump. There are…there are serious knives out for Tulsi Gabbard. She didn’t take anything last night.
There are so many nuggets of awful in just a few sentences that I don't know where to begin.
So instead I'm going to just skip over this and go straight to the offensive narrative of third-parties.
In the remembered hellscape of November 9, 2016, when Americans stayed up late or woke up early to confront the reality of President-elect Donald J. Trump, those who cast a “protest” vote for minor-party candidates have a special, demonic place reserved for them.
How dare some of you vote for someone who's values represent yours!
You should vote for someone you don't like and who doesn't represent you. That's the way that democracy is supposed to work - with people voting against their own interests.
Anything else is a vote for Trump and Putin.

To be fair, it wasn't a CNN editorial. But it came from somebody frequently invited as a commentator. And par for the course, nobody made any effort to get her to pin down or clarify her claims.

The reference says A.B. Stoddard used to be a columnist at The Hill. IMO The Hill is very establishment and I rarely read it, although it frequently appears in my MSN Newsfeed. Two past columnists were Dick Morris and James Carville. Ugh!

How is saying this not slander or defamation of character? Tulsi is a US congress member and a member of the military, but this person is accusing her of working with a foreign government.

Maybe it's time for a few news sites to start seeing some lawsuits so this can be nipped off. Wikileaks and Assange are suing Luke Harding for the hit piece they did on them. The first amendment only goes so far. IMO of course.

Ranked choice voting
Whenever some hysterical Democrat spews their venom toward third party candidates, I bring up ranked choice voting. It has yet to sink in with anyone not already so disposed, but I persist.
