Clinton Foundation looking even more corrupt

The Clinton Foundation and Clinton Campaign have always been too close, but now it appears even that fine line is getting blurred.

The new emails, released by the group Judicial Watch, offer fresh examples of how top Clinton Foundation officials sought access to the State Department during Mrs. Clinton’s tenure. The documents were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch against the State Department...
In an exchange from April 2009, a longtime aide to Mr. Clinton told three of Mrs. Clinton’s top advisers that it was “important to take care of” a particular person, whose name has been redacted from the document. That person had written the aide, Doug Band, under the subject line “A favor…” to thank him for the “opportunity to go on the Haiti trip,” which the person called “eye-opening.” Mr. Band was a chief adviser in helping Mr. Clinton launch the Clinton Foundation after leaving the White House.
Huma Abedin, a longtime confidante of Mrs. Clinton who is now working for her campaign, replied to Mr. Band: “We have all had him on our radar. Personnel has been sending him options.” Mr. Band responded: “Great.” Mr. Band was an important figure in helping Mr. Clinton set up his postpresidential career and has since co-founded a New York company called Teneo Holdings.
While at the State Department, Ms. Abedin received a special designation that allowed her to work at the agency while also doing outside work. During that period, she held two other positions, at the Clinton Foundation and at Teneo.

These emails weren’t handed over to the government as part of Hillary’s archive, and for obvious reasons, because it looks a lot like Pay-to-Play.

“We need Gilbert Chagoury to speak to the substance person re Lebanon,” Mr. Band wrote in April 2009. “As you know, he’s key guy there and to us and is loved in Lebanon. Very imp.”
Mr. Chagoury, a Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire, has donated between $1 million and $5 million to the foundation, according to its disclosures.
Ms. Abedin responded with the name of the State Department official, Jeff Feltman, who had served as a U.S. ambassador to Lebanon before becoming U.S. assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern Affairs. “I’m sure he knows him,” she wrote. “I’ll talk to Jeff.”
Fifteen minutes later, Mr. Band shot back: “Better if you call him. Now preferable. This is very important.”
..
Mr. Chagoury, who has longstanding ties to the Clintons, has a controversial past. In the mid-1990s, he was known for his close association with Nigeria’s military dictator, Sani Abacha, which helped him land lucrative business contracts in construction and other areas. In 2003, Mr. Chagoury helped organized a Caribbean trip where Mr. Clinton was paid $100,000 for a speech. Both Mr. Chagoury and Mr. Clinton attended Mr. Band’s wedding celebration in France in 2007, the Journal reported at the time.

Trump has one thing right - Hillary is corrupt.

Hey! my dear friends or soon-to-be's, JtC could use the donations to keep this site functioning for those of us who can still see the life preserver or flotsam in the water.

or deluded. They view this as a given for "playing the game." That is, those who don't view it simply as a virtue outright (after all to the victor go the spoils), and who would actually think less of Hillary if she didn't offer something in return for this support.

Beware the bullshit factories.

No matter what Trump says or does, how's he going to top Hillary? Getting kinda hard to tell the two psychopathic uber-wealthy self-interests running for the corporate parties apart, isn't?

Psychopathy is not a political position, whether labeled 'conservatism', 'centrism' or 'left'.

A tin labeled 'coffee' may be a can of worms or pathology identified by a lack of empathy/willingness to harm others to achieve personal desires.

I always thought the the Clinton Foundation and it's connections to SoS Clinton was what was important in her damn e-mails. The spooky classified security shit didn't bothered me. I think national security is a blanket they use to cover the deep state, our police state, and their freaking global endless war for profit and domination. Classified is not in our interests. Like the farce of the Benghazi! investigations it's a distraction from the crux of the matter.

Pay for Play, bribery, influence peddling, using the Foundation's horrific donors as a branch of the state department and working against our 'national interests' for the interests of the global anti-democratic oligarchy is the real threat to us all. This is where the is the conflict of interests lies Nobody in DC is about to open that can of worms anymore then they would even touch on what Benghazi! and the Libyan horror show was really about. It's a by-partisan neocon horror show and the Clinton Foundation is where the financial transactions of selling the world to the highest bidder occurs.

Yah, when I read about the missing emails, my first thought was that they would show that Hillary spent alot of time essentially on Foundation "fund raising" business. There are strong clues to this--there was the email from staff to each other celebrating a huge Saudi arms deal during Christmas no less. When you step back you have to scratch your head thinking this is really odd--high ranking officials of our diplomatic corp celebrating a massive arms dealer to a major purveyor of Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism. No celebrations at Christmas over achieving some peaceful resolution to some conflict somewhere, anywhere?

Yes, that was my thought too initially. That the classification was a side issue, but the real meat was the contacts she had messaged. I thought that is what the FBI would be looking into. My thought too, was that was why Hillary kept focusing on what the e-mails were labeled as, so kept the media churning in loops about the classification so no one dug deeper into the business affairs they portrayed.

did occur. As a result of that, US operatives in various places have likely been outed. Most recently is the hanging of the Iranian nuclear scientist who was allegedly an asset of US intelligence services. Think Hillary gives a damn? Not!

Ed I didn't mean to imply that the security breaches were trivial. They were in fact inexcusable. But the way her public answer was almost the same (I sent nothing marked classified when that wasn't even a category) and it sent journalists churning, splitting hairs over terms/labels. IMHO, it made it seem that very few journalists ever dug deeper than that point. The influence peddling in State for our citizens is bad enough, but the (outright) bribes from those associated with other foreign governments I find the worst of all. That's the aspect of this that I'd like to see brought to justice.

Beware the bullshit factories.

The problem with drip, drip is that it's incremental, not one or two big k.o. punches, one right after the other.

During the Watergate hearings, the evidence dribbled out as well. However, involved were

1. What seems to have an honest judge,

2. Televised daily hearings that were being heavily covered in the evening and late night news every day;

3. Someone to declare gravely, "The issue has been joined," signaling a tipping point had just been reached;

and

4. An RNC head telling Nixon it was time to go, for the good of the Party.

Times and media have changed and the public is jaded. Moreover, we have the msm and even Republican bigwigs saying the world will end, very possibly literally, unless everyone votes for Hillary. (I have never heard the term "nuclear codes" as much as I have heard it during the past fortnight.)

As you noted, this looks a lot like "pay to play" to me, and there's hard evidence in the form of the emails. Isn't this the exact same thing that Rod Blagojevich went to jail for? I can only imagine what's in the rest of the deleted correspondence.

By now there is probably no one that hasn't seen the Clinton Cash documentary; however just in case here is the link to the movie full screen. It is free and no sign in required.

Blocked the FBI

Officials from the FBI and Department of Justice met several months ago to discuss opening a public corruption case into the Clinton Foundation, according to a US official.
At the time, three field offices were in agreement an investigation should be launched after the FBI received notification from a bank of suspicious activity from a foreigner who had donated to the Clinton Foundation, according to the official.

FBI officials wanted to investigate whether there was a criminal conflict of interest with the State Department and the Clinton Foundation during Clinton's tenure. The Department of Justice had looked into allegations surrounding the foundation a year earlier after the release of the controversial book "Clinton Cash," but found them to be unsubstantiated and there was insufficient evidence to open a case.

As a result, DOJ officials pushed back against opening a case during the meeting earlier this year. Some also expressed concern the request seemed more political than substantive, especially given the timing of it coinciding with the investigation into the private email server and Clinton's presidential campaign.

It's a Major Talking point on the usual. Suspect blogs and tweets... Especially the amt of money she and bill donated to charity... A YUGE amount... And someone asked (somewhere) how much of their charitable donation went to the CLINTON foundation... I think the answer was 90%

So the Clinton's are being praised for donating a YUGE sum of money to basically themselves.

I believe that's called a TAX DODGE... No?
