They say that there's a broken light for every heart on Broadway
They say that life's a game and then they take the board away
They give you masks and costumes and an outline of the story
And leave you all to improvise their vicious cabaret-- A. Moore
I am glad the AP article mentioned that. I bet that whichever other mainstream media picks up the story won't though.

Given the moderation, I would expect they'll try to turn it into a Clinton bash-fest which could get a bit awkward for Sanders. He ought to adopt the tactic by starting out with "I disagree with that statement; it's too bad that Secretary Clinton chose not be to here to address it." and then pivot onto talking about something more suitable. Maybe a few more phrasings so he doesn't start sounding like a MarioBot.
I don't recall which campaign involved a debate in which one of the candidates refused to appear. So the other candidate debated to an empty chair. In this case, the chair could have a life-size cardboard image of a life-sized cardboard candidate: HRC. This might be very entertaining as well as informative. Bernie would be sure to announce Shillary's earlier declaration that she would debate Sanders in California before the June 7 primary. WTF? Does anyone really believe anything that comes out of that woman's oral orifice? Oh, yeah, the Hill-bots do, like cattle being lined up to the slaughter house.

that this is the most important job in the world, it’s the toughest job in the world. You should be willing to campaign for every vote. You should be willing to debate anytime, anywhere. I think it’s an interesting juxtaposition, where we find ourselves. And, you know, I have been willing to do all of that, during the entire process, and people have been trying to push me out of this ever since Iowa.”

this means one less time I have to listen to her voice.
If, God forbid, she becomes CFO of this corporate region, I will have to go into a political media blackout of sorts. I've already gotten to the stage with her it took me years to get to w/Bush and months to get to w/Romney.

Bernie and Donald
Best Debate of the year!!!!
Bernie, Donald and Hillary debating
Even better!!!
Sorry, forgot to include the link
Here it is:

That will be an interesting debate.
Two New York boys sparing with words --- Bernie's going to knock Trump's socks off and onto Trump's tiny hands. We'll see if Trump agrees to a debate.
Real Life
Yours, mine and ours...
I prefer a three way, Bernie, Donald and the other one under FBI investgation.
Wasn't Trump trying to avoid California
because of his university scam and the RICO class-action complaint coming out of the Southern District? A Chula Vista victim filed it over there.
Hope he actually does it.

another reason to dislike her
I believe it was part of the agreement to get a debate between them for NH.
I'm leaning Trump now (should Hills get the nomination). Trump or Debs.
She did agree. did you forget who you were talking about? = )

Take no blows for Clinton

Does she have health issues
that mean she has to decline?
Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.
too busy with FBI
too busy with FBI investigation preparation?
The empty chair scenario might play very well.
I don't recall which campaign involved a debate in which one of the candidates refused to appear. So the other candidate debated to an empty chair. Is this the 'debate' you were thinking of?

I know that speech! - I find it curious
There has been this urgency to end this...
'What we are left with is an agency mandated to ensure transparency and disclosure that is actually working to keep the public in the dark' - Ann M. Ravel, former FEC member
Whoops - wrong placement

On the up side,
this means one less time I have to listen to her voice.
