Chuck Schumer's enormous Judicial blunder

A couple of days ago, I read an article somewhere about Chuckles blowing off all resistance to the Repugnant Party approving the Repug (Trump) ticket of 17 federal circuit court judgeships. Seems he need to get team out to their districts 2 or 3 days early, so he waved his hand and told Mitch McTurtle that Chuckles would see that Team Blue (should be Team Yellow) would give all 17 the okay without hearings. Man, what a great way to select a judiciary. It's certainly cheaper than the good ol' fashioned way of buying a judgeship. Of course these 17 have not all passed through the sanitizer and degreaser, but the deed is done.

Such an action clearly display complete disregard for anything except their own cushy jobs. No concern for the Constitution, which they revere apparently as much as the-none-too-soon departed J. McStain. Speaking of McStain, I am sure the world feels safer since his brain was formally and factually diagnosed as cancerous.

Chuckie Cheese-spine made a deal

The Republicans are better at fighting for what they believe in. It’s unfortunate that they believe in racism and misogyny, though, thank GOD they believe in that or else the Democratic Party would utterly collapse due to its own weakness.

No current Democrat epitomizes the cowardice and softness of Democratic Party leadership as much as Democratic Minority Leader Charles Schumer. When Kanye West said slavery was a choice, he should have been talking about Chuck Schumer. Schumer holds no real political power, yet represents a district (the state of New York) where he probably cannot be defeated. This should FREE Schumer to stand in moral and righteous opposition to the white supremacist takeover of America led by Donald Trump and his cabal of Senate and House Republicans.

Schumer should be the Charles de Gaulle of the resistance.

Schumer renders the Dims as useless as a lawyer who always settles his/her cases out of court. Such a lawyer has no teeth. As Jimmy Dore always says: "Democrats are paid to lose". That is gospel.

Besides revealing the weak-sister act (although I haven't a clue about what that phrase even means) the Dims lost sight of the ball: BALL as in ball and chain.

This invisible, silent civil war is known, to those like us wish to know. One commenter upon a recent essay refers, correctly in my view, it's two parts of the deep state. But, saying that one has to admit that sentence allows for the existence of more than two parts of the deep state. How many parts are there? Does anybody have a clue?

Right now, I have to believe that Trump's survival in office politically (let alone physically) is remarkable. Hate his policies--yeah, I do hate most of them. But he's got staying power. And he's got both the military AND military intelligence on his side. He's got three marine generals in the top ranks of his support. Not to be ignored is Erik Prince's Blackwater back-up reward for Trump putting his sister in the cabinet. Or do I have that wrong?

The BLUNDER

Lots of cases are coming when TSHTF. This might start this month or, like a good October Surprise, start in October. Fitting? By cases, I do not mean ocean salmon. So when a left-over Obamanite judge makes a naughty ruling, the defendant knows appealing is going to be a good deal. Of these 17, some were appellate, though I may be wrong. So the throughput of this justice express will not only be speedier but more more directive as well. The newbies, I imagine have conservative leanings. So, when J. Beauregard starts prosecuting, you know which way the "justice" flows.

Somebody once said that 60% of Congress should be in jail. Sounds about as reasonable as praising J. MC. Expect numerous high-level plea deals combined with resignation from government work.

At top of the pyramid stands, with some support, the Evil Queen. Her consort, Faithful Bill Clinton stands closeby. Then downward descends a hierarchy of scoundrels. These from first the low, then the next high, finally approaching the top scourge upwards purifies the the...

OH SHIT! did I just write all that? I dunno since I just now woke up.

Schumer hasn't put the hammer down on blue dawgs . He isn't putting the fear of gawd in any democrats that vote for Kavanaugh which he could. But we are just witnessing theater anyway with the democrats starting that they are opposed to him. The democrats could not show up and allow the republicans a quorum to start the hearings on unspecial K IIRC. There are many procedural processes that they can use to stop the hearings.

People are pissed at what the democrats are not doing while they are letting republicans shit all over them and not holding to the way that it's supposed to work for congressional hearings on judges let alone a Supreme Court one. When K is confirmed and takes his place on the SC then we can kiss whatever's left of this country and it's laws.

Republicans dropped thousands of reports on K's history last night and then said they had read all of them.

'Walk Out!': Progressives Disgusted as Democrats Fold at Brett Kavanaugh Hearing

Several Democrats, including Sens. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) spoke out against holding Judge Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearing, but critics said their words mattered little after they agreed to continue with the proceedings instead of walking out of the hearing room.
....
But those hopes were largely dashed when it became increasingly clear that the Democrats were not prepared for what would happen if Grassley refused to heed their calls, as he predictably did. The acquiescence was led by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who ended the series of objections by delivering her prepared opening statement. The hearing then proceeded, albeit with some Democrats continuing to express their objections.

While progressives expressed disgust that too many Democrats appear ready to fold on Kavanaugh, it was some longtime Republicans who also called out the party for being political feeble in the face of the unprecedented process.

On MSNBC's "Morning Joe," former staffer to the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) Steve Schmidt remarked, "It seems Democrats are absolutely determined to bring butter knives to every gunfight forever," while host Joe Scarborough agreed the party was apparently "just quietly marching in line."

"This process is illegitimate," Scarborough said. "No judge in America would allow an opposing side to dump 150,000 documents on another party in a lawsuit the day before hearings started or a trial is started. I'm completely baffled. Why do Democrats—why are they even showing up? They should not show up."

Oh no! Held in contempt for not sitting by and watching as the republicans steal a SC seat? Bring some smelling salts.

They could also be held in contempt. They HAVE to be present. Give her a chance, both she & Harris can be brutal. Go ladies, give 'em HELL!!!

Obama and the democrats had lots of ways that they could have used to make the republicans hold hearings on Garland. They just didn't. Obama said nothing about McConnell blocking a hearing on Garland because "there was an election coming up that year. Well guess what? There's another election coming up much sooner than when McConnell blocked the hearings.

I'm no longer watching the decades old game between the Washington Generals and the Harlem Globetrotters. Been there, bought the t-shirt and had a few laughs. But I was 10 when I saw them play.

The democrats are not even trying to hide how complicit they are anymore. They know that the end game is almost over for the banana republic this country has become.

Biden helped get Thomas on the bench. Obama voted to let Roberts and Alioto to pass out of committee to let them come up for a vote. Garland was more of a right leaning centrist and Obama worked with Hatch on who he would pick to replace Scalia. So why expect democrats to try to block Kavanaugh from being confirmed?

Seen on a tweet ...

@k9disc
to ever compare the Democrats to the Generals.

What's (not really) amazing to me, is that somehow with a 58-42 majority, or whatever it was, the Democrats couldn't carry through on Obama's judicial appointments, but with a 52-48 majority the Republicans can just sweep through an entire slate of federal judges.

My God, what a catastrophic failure was the Obama administration. Eight long years of just setting the fucking table for Trump to come in and slash and burn through the executive and the judiciary.

@UntimelyRippd

are when in the minority. It's just that, when in the majority, they've had to blame the sixty vote deal (which they refused to blow entirely out of existence, as they should have), and. when in the minority, they fake to the left and blame the Republican majority for blocking their allegedly leftist feints, urging everyone to vote Democratic next time (so the cycle can begin again).

@snoopydawg Schumer follows the orders of Goldman-Sachs. They want those judges so they are getting them. "Resistance" is just nonsense to feed the sheep that vote (D).

@The Voice In the Wilderness My essay was in a different, equally correct context--in my opinion of course. These new judges are going to be the conveyor belt between J. Beauregard and Gitmo or Leavenworth. Most of the Dim ringleaders are whistling past the graveyard.

The theater of DiFi's yesterday apologizing to Kavanaugh for the delay in his hearing was a huge giveaway. Democrats do have ways to stop the sham hearing, they just don't want to do them. And they also had plenty of ways to force McConnell to give Garland a hearing. That they didn't take it speaks volumes.

I've also been watching the so called resistance giving way to assisting the republicans pass horrible legislation. The difference between the two parties is paper thin.

@snoopydawg The Camel could filibuster. It would be wondrous to hear all the reactionary clichés she would spout. Unfortunately, she's from California, where, to mix metaphors, a Democratic Ham sandwich could get elected.

@snoopydawg We (the 99%) need action and not Faerie Tale Theatre. Trump's delayed transmission of Kavanaugh papers to Congress is payback for Comey's "reading" of 665,000 Wiener-mails in 48 hours. That's how much time El Trumpo gave the Demonrats.

Watch for more payback from the Orange One in the Oval Office (OOOO). The "blue wave" will be the color of sewage by the time it reaches the shore. Who's going to support those gutless wonders except the zombies who still vote Demonratic? Trump is not gonna lose control of the House--the seats up for real contests probably won't change much. If any Dems win, they'll be of the Conor Lamb and Senator Jones type--not worth a goddam thing.

I am not really a servant of the people, but I play the role of one each day in the U.S. Congress, except of course, when I can throw over even the pretense and rush home from my "work place" early rather than even pretend to do my job. What a great gig, huh!

@Dr. John Carpenter
would be....?

Big donors, incumbent advantage, automatic ballot access only for Democrats and Republicans, with expensive legal battles for all others, no access to the debate stage for candidates of newer parties, vote caging, rigged vote counts, establishment media, etc.

Everything works to maintain the status quo, just as Republicans and Democrats intended. Then, they babble meaninglessly about Russia ruinning our "democracy" because neither representative of our political crime families, Jeb nor Hillary made it to the Oval Office.

@HenryAWallace Dims wait to get paid after falling on their spineless backs. Then, after clapping their hands, and, like Maxine Waters, barking like seals, they congratulate themselves on what a good job of play-acting they did on their way to the bank. Except the audience is starting to realize this plot is old and threadbare. Light is starting to peer through the refts on this thin cloth of pretense at governance.

This "abolish ICE" is a definite, coordinated attempt to get Dem candidates virtue-signaling into defeat once again.
