From an email today:

We have received numerous reports about voters getting phone calls telling them to NOT vote in the August primary and that they should only vote in November instead. This is a blatant attempt to suppress the vote at a time when our campaign is making significant inroads (one poll showed our campaign has gained 23 points on Wasserman Schultz.)

At this point, we don’t know if our opponent’s campaign is directly involved in these voter suppression activities, but these are the kind of disturbing moves we expect from the Republicans, not the Democrats.

We’re aggressively moving to counter this voter suppression and staying vigilant about what else they may be planning (we are also hearing that unmarked white vans are driving around the district and stealing our yard signs, which is not surprising given that Wasserman Schultz’s strategy has been to avoid any prime time debate that would allow many voters to learn of Tim’s candidacy.)
