Breaking story from hearing on emails retrieved by FBI

There is an essay with the outcome here: http://caucus99percent.com/content/and-yet-more-abedin-pay-play-emails-e...

This is the result of the hearing this morning:

From The Hill

FBI uncovers 15K undisclosed emails in Clinton probe

The agency has pledged to release the approximately 14,900 documents and State Department lawyers told District Judge James E. Boasberg on Monday that the agency is “prioritizing” the appraisal of the new emails.
But it remains unsettled whether the full set will be out before the presidential election on Nov. 8 and lawyers for the conservative watchdog group that has demanded the release have accused the agency of slow-walking the production.

The agency is currently assessing whether any of the new documents — which the FBI turned over to State following the close of its investigation — are of a personal nature or duplicates of previously-released emails. Following that assessment, it is reviewing on a rolling basis whether the pages are subject to federal records laws.

Boasberg on Monday morning ordered the agency to provide a status update on Sept. 22 on how many of the documents it has reviewed to determine whether they may be produced under a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Drip, drip, drip.

Yes Hillary, there is a conspiracy. The one that you set up to protect you from your misdeeds.

On Friday, the New York Times reported that Clinton told FBI officials former Secretary of State Colin Powell had advised her to use a personal email account while she held the Secretary of State office herself.

"Her people have been trying to pin it on me," Powell, 79, told PEOPLE Saturday night at the Apollo in the Hamptons 2016 Night of Legends fête in East Hampton, New York.

"The truth is, she was using [the private email server] for a year before I sent her a memo telling her what I did," Powell added.

Clinton told that to the FBI? Does she think the FBI doesn't know the difference between a "personal email account"
and a private SERVER?

That pointed out that Hillary turned over 30,000 work related emails.

These ~15,000 additional emails increases that by ~50%. Or in other words, she omitted 1/3 of her work related emails.

these were just the emails which somehow did not get sufficiently scrubbed by her legal team (and goodness know they would have used high-price techs to do the electronic shredding...). WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY OF THESE EMAILS THERE WERE and we never, ever, ever will...

As reported by The Atlantic:

... my direction to conduct the thorough investigation was to err on the side of providing anything that could be possibly viewed as work related. That doesn’t mean they will be by the State Department once the State Department goes through them, but out of an abundance of caution and care, you know, we wanted to send that message unequivocally. That is the responsibility of the individual and I have fulfilled that responsibility, and I have no doubt that we have done exactly what we should have done. When the search was conducted, we were asking that any email be identified and preserved that could potentially be federal records, and that’s exactly what we did ... I trust the American people to make their decisions about political and public matters. And I feel that I’ve taken unprecedented steps to provide these work-related emails.

You will no doubt remember that in his 14 minute rundown of Hillary's email sins, he told us that the lawyers did Key word searches and did not read the body of each & every email.

Hard to square what she said with what they did. You'd kind of think that a smart lawyer like Hillary (/s), who is described as a policy wonk, would have assured herself of the process her lawyers used before making the statement she made in the press conference.

someone hammering home the point that clinton gave her emails to her attorneys that have no security clearances to decide if they were State or personal? It seems to have been swept under the rug. I mean, this is something she has admitted to doing. Gowdy brought it up to comey at his hearing but it seems to have fizzled out...

This makes me furious - I hope it gets into the interrogatories!
(But the ruling wouldn't allow for that)

that her emails were closely scrutinized to make sure that everything even remotely work-related would be turned over. But Comey said that her attorneys didn't read the emails and just did a search for work-related terms. More lies. I was shocked when I heard Comey describe that process, along with the destruction of the remaining emails, followed by, nope, no evidence of intentional wrongdoing here!

to Judicial Watch--especially if any of those previously hidden documents were subject to any of their 30 FOIA law suits--then Hillary is under oath to explain the discrepancy between her public pronouncements of turning over "everything" related to DOS business to Congress and/or FBI.
