Biden doubles-down on a catastrophically bad Yemen policy

About a month ago a Saudi air strike on a detention centre in north-western Yemen, according to Doctors without Borders, killed at least 80 people and injured over 200. The laser-guided bomb used in the attack was manufactured by Raytheon.
The Saudis have been carpet-bombing Yemen since Obama was president. Biden promised to end it, but instead he is doubling-down on a horrific policy.

The U.S. has directly enabled and assisted in the war crimes committed by the Saudi- and UAE-led coalition during the Yemen conflict. By providing them with intelligence, logistics, and weapons, the coalition has the means to fight against the Houthi forces, putting millions of Yemeni lives at risk. The U.S. has a law that prohibits the selling of arms to abusive governments, however by selling weapons and providing military support to the Saudi and UAE coalition the U.S. has chosen to ignore this law, while enabling possible war crimes during the conflict.

About three weeks ago Biden promised the Saudi kingdom that he would protect them from the rebels in Yemen that the Saudis have been bombing indiscriminately.
What does that mean? One week earlier Biden made it clear to everyone.

The United States will send a guided-missile destroyer and fifth-generation fighter jets to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the wake of recent missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, Washington’s top military official has said.

In a phone call on Tuesday, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin told Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Abu bin Zayed Al Nahyan the Pentagon would send the “guided-missile destroyer USS Cole to partner with the UAE Navy before making a port call in Abu Dhabi”.

We are sending U.S. Navy sailors to protect an immensely wealthy, corrupt, repressive nation that has often backed terrorist groups, because some of the impoverished rebels that they've been bombing have managed to strike back in very limited ways.
Doesn't that make your stomach turn over?

Mr Biden said that "our biggest problem is our allies"
who are engaged in a proxy Sunni-Shiite war against Syrian President Bashar Assad. He specifically named Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. "What did they do? They poured hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of tons of weapons into anyone who would fight against Assad – except that the people who were being supplied were (Jabhat) Al-Nusra and al-Qaeda and the extremist elements of jihadis coming from other parts of the world," Mr Biden said at the time...

Of course the shitlibs are changing their avatars to the Yemen flag just like they have changed them to the Ukraine one…oh wait they ain’t even talking about Yemen! Of course AOC is all over Biden for continuing to support the Saudis right?

It’s sad that the world has turned its back on Yemen, Afghanistan, Venezuela and wherever else we are hurting people.
