Bernie told USA Today that OR was a 501c4

Weeks before Jeff Weaver was brought on to OR.

Dated July 15th:

Sanders said Democrats’ loss of about 900 state legislative seats in nearly eight years tells him a strong grass-roots movement is needed to get people to run for office and to show them how — from getting on the ballot to running TV ads. Our Revolution, a 501(c)(4) political organization, will work with several progressive groups to train and vet candidates.

Weaver was brought on board a month later

Jeff Weaver had nothing to do with the decision to go 501C4.

My message to those who insist Jeff Weaver was responsible for OR going 501c4 is this:

Stop making shit up. Stop throwing people or organizations under the bus for no good reason. Shame on you.

Not Henry Kissinger's picture

Why did Bernie choose to create a 501c4 entity that (according to you) legally restricts his ability to personally campaign for the very same candidates OR is trying to promote?

Is that not terribly counter productive?

The current working assumption appears to be that our Shroedinger's Cat system is still alive. But what if we all suspect it's not, and the real problem is we just can't bring ourselves to open the box?

Try the essay where that question was answered repeatedly by myself and at least one other person.
