Bernie from Illinois last night

The loudest booing of the night, however, came when Sanders mentioned to the crowd that Clinton had received "the strong endorsement of (Chicago) Mayor Rahm Emanuel."

"I want to thank Rahm Emanuel for not endorsing me," he said. "I don't want his endorsement."

And he nodded at the budget impasse in Springfield that has threatened state university funding. "I can't believe that I'm hearing in Chicago about schools being closed, universities being shut down," he said.

Sanders hit Clinton for supporting "disastrous trade agreements" like NAFTA that he said have been particularly damaging to Midwestern economies like Illinois'. He reiterated his promise to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour.

Bernie is pounding Rahm and tying Hillary to him, it is like watching Wiley Coyote end up tied to the railroad tracks with the rope he bought thinking he'd get the Roadrunner.

Emanuel has been absent from Clinton’s presidential bid for months, politically toxic to her because of the police shootings, his closing of Chicago public schools and his own mega fundraising from the very corporate interests Sanders deplores.

Moreover, the dislike of Emanuel among African-Americans in the city, which Sanders is trying to leverage, hits at the core of support Clinton is depending on to collect popular votes and delegates in her native Illinois.

Rahm's popularity or lack there of is going to drag on Hillary and keep some folks home on her side. Up to this point there is no statistical evidence that she is turning out the vote. Bernie has a proven record of being able to connect with the people of Chicago

Sanders continued. “That’s what this election is about. Yeah, Chuy is going to be outspent 8 to 1, but there are a lot more of us than there are of them.”

Bernie fought for Chuy and that is going to pay off!

Bernie is the Roadrunner!!

Bernie can win Illinois, he is eating into the AA vote and outside of Chicago demographically looks great for Bernie, however Chicago is about 23% of the total population. Illinois is ripe for Bernie, thanks Rahm!!
