One of the really upsetting things about police and news media misgendering transgender murder victims is that we often miss the news entirely.

San Antonio police say that the body of Kenne McFadden, 27, was found floating in the San Antonio River in a popular area of River Walk on April 9. Police have said there are no obvious signs of trauma on the body, but later announced that someone "had caused" her death. The medical examiner ruled homicide by drowning.

SAPD Sgt. Jesse Salome now says that a "person of interest" has been located, who is currently behind bars on other charges.

Kenne worked as a waitress in a San Antonio restaurant.

As lovable as Kenne was, I can't think of any reason somebody would want to harm someone so good.
