Is Andrea Mitchell a bold liar or a huge fool? It's one or the other.

A few minutes ago, a very sorrowful sounding Andrea Mitchell said or implied the following about reasons for Hillary's loss:

1. Media ignored her during the primary. They gave all the coverage to Trump.

No, Andrea, dear.

Hillary was not a victim of media who anointed her years ago, right along with with DWS and the others. Every time they've mentioned her in the last several years, it's been to say that she'd be President in 2016.

In reality, Andrea dear, Hillary hid out during much of the primary because the more people see and hear her, the more her inevitable poll numbers go down. Also, she hid because she could not draw enough people for a good PTA social, while Bernie was drawing tens of thousands; and the contrast was starkly not in her favor. During the primary, the media could have and should have covered Bernie Sanders, who came almost out of nowhere and was drawing tens of thousands of people at every event. Instead, he got zero coverage or got falsely accused of being a dual citizen of Israel or got portrayed as the curmudgeonly, impractical former socialist Mayor of Burlington with the whacky hairdo who'd done nothing much since he retired from being Mayor.

2. Hillary underestimated third parties.

No, Andrea, dear.

Hillary, all Democratic politicians and you in establishment media were bludgeoning and insulting people who were thinking of voting for a smaller, newer party, instead of figuring out how to win them over. Besides that, newer parties hurt The Donald more than The Hillary. Sadly, parties to Hillary's left barely made a blip and I doubt she lost a single vote to any newer party to her right.

Andrea may also have said something about Americans not being ready for a woman President, but Hillary got the popular vote. So, what card does that leave, really? The electoral college is misogynistic?

These people must think we have mass amnesia all the time!

BTW just heard 7 million more Democrats came out to vote for Obama than for Hillary--and the difference ain't that Democrats are more misogynistic than they are racist. It's the policies, stupid.

Heck with the lawyers.* The first thing we do, Let's kill all the pundits and other media shills.

real run for his money. Duh. But you guys ignored him until the Tyndall Report exposed you. Then you started saying at least once every five minutes, and certainly every time you mentioned him, that Hillary would be the nominee. This is on media as much as it on the DNC and Hillary.

alternative universe of stuff that never happened and never can happen. Good for her! Wink

Of course, they were both anti-establishment, change, populist candidates, Sanders beat Trump in all the head to head polls and Sanders never bragged about grabbing anyone's crotch or did any of the other crazy Trump stuff. However, I'll take Steph's word for it as I don't know how to access the alternative universe.

Bernie could not have put together the coalition that Hillary put together. (Minorities and older women, I assume). Really? If Bernie had been the Democratic candidate, those people would have voted for Trump? I don't think so.

and

He couldn't beat Hillary; how was he going to beat Trump?

First, Hillary lost to Trump in head to head polls whereas Bernie won. Second, in the general, no one would have been competing with Bernie for the votes of Democratic loyalists and Democratic politicians and the DNC would have been supporting him, rather than undermining him and freezing him out. And, he would also have gotten a ton of change votes, plus votes of the disaffected left.

Jeebus! Either these people should not be be pundits at all or it's in their best interest to be lousy pundits.

When everyone knew she was a self-serving, 1%er and Trump ran to her left as a populist.

Now, can we let the Clintons go away? Preferrably, far away.

The other day, when I was resigned to a Clinton victory, I was wondering how I would be able to stand to listen to her monotone for four years, especially when she thinks making the monotone louder is the way to drive home a point. If I don't have to listen, maybe she wouldn't be as impossible for me to take.

No campaigning in August. None. Just a bunch of fundraisers. And very little in public after that. Why should she expose herself to the peasants? Of course, very few people were interested when she did.

And all the "experts" kept telling us that Trump was campaigning all wrong. No ground game. No local offices. Ridiculous. Just huge rallies several times a day, almost every day. Oops.

she hid during the general. That was probably the best strategy she had available to her. She cannot draw a crowd. She just can't. Besides, the more people see and hear her, the more her numbers go down.

Just like, um, er, ..... Bernie Sanders!

Of course, the MSM didn't want us knowing about the latter. But it obviously worked like clockwork for The Donald.
