Album of the Week - 4-8-23
Submitted by joe shikspack on Sat, 04/08/2023 - 3:00pm
Afternoon folks!
Beaucoup de blues this week! Starting off, there's a crazy german album of Muddy Waters Band tunes followed by a mid-60's Jimmy McCracklin album. After that is a comp of early recordings from Junior Parker, James Cotton and Pat Hare (including the Parker tune that Elvis covered). After that there's some rock from A Group Called Smith, The Flamin' Groovies, The Tubes and a 70's band with Peter Rowan in it, Seatrain - the album has their one biggish 70's hit on it, 13 Questions. Some of you guys might remember that one.
Enjoy and have a great weekend!
Here 'tis:
Muddy Waters - Mud In Your Ear
Junior Parker / James Cotton / Pat Hare – Mystery Train
The Flamin' Groovies - Jumpin' In The Night

Neither Russia nor China is our enemy.
Neither Iran nor Venezuela are threatening America.

afternoon orlbucfan...
well, not quite an encyclopedia. for instance, i would be lost if you asked me to put together the greatest hits of the renaissance, but within a few genres of music in a certain period i was really paying attention.
have a great day!
