Album of the Week - 1-7-23

Afternoon folks!

Well, there's some blues for you this week. There's a double album compilation of Memphis Slim followed by a T-Bone Walker album and the first half (roughly) of a B.B. King compilation of earlier hits. I'll post the other half later in the same playlist, maybe next week sometime. Then we've got slide guitarist David Lindley and rounding out the selection there's former Monkee Michael Nesmith's second album with the First National Band.

Enjoy!

Here 'tis:

Memphis Slim - Right Now

T-Bone Walker - I Want A Little Girl

B.B. King - The Best Of B.B. King Volume 2

David Lindley & El Rayo X - Win This Record

Michael Nesmith & The First National Band - Loose Salute

open for Jackson Brown a few decades ago? I could be confusing him with another musician. The one I'm thinking of did a terrific set with an electric violin. The crowd was small for an arena, but the music was incredible. Thanks. Rec'd!

@joe shikspack I checked out your link. That Summerfest 1989--what a lineup!!!! The concert had to be back then, right around 1989-90ish. It was at the old Orlando Arena. Hubster worked for and was good pals with the Tech Dept. chief who got us in. I remember this particular show cos both artists were just incredibly good, and complemented each other well. Lindley was on a different plane with that violin. Just an outasite gig! Smile
