A good analysis of the corporate (and NPR) coverage

First, I am sorry that I am going to have to blog and run. Too many things to do in the 4-D world (or 9-D depending on your cosmological thoughts). However, Robert MacChesney gives a very good analysis of corporate (and, in a glancing reference, NPR) coverage of the Presidential campaign on DemocracyNow today. I will insert the link below. DemocracyNow is in the middle of a fund drive now. I contribute a few hundred dollars per year and I am sure they would be happy to get a few dollars from C99% people. DN is a little uneven, but one gets news there that is not readily available from other sources in this country. I greatly admire Amy Goodman's energy and determination.

Corporate mainstream media is
Corporate mainstream media is of course run by their owning corporations, so they only do the news as they are ordered to, not what is important for the people, just important to guide the people to the point the corporates want them to arrive at.
Now as for NPR and other public news services like on PBS? they still have to answer to the donors, and when you see their donor lists from the rich and powerful, you know that are limited as to what and how they report.
Independent news organizations who take money only from regular people will be able to report news of import, not the corporate spins, and fluff pieces and useless and stupid which celebrity is sleeping with who nonsense we see on grocery store tabloids.
But that is what the MSM behaves like, tabloids. Useless drivel spewing rags, but on the TV.
