More views on Liz Warren as Vice President

My essay yesterday elicited excellent commentaries--and I couldn't disagree with any one of them. Despite polls, crystal balls and punditry, the question of whether LW would consider running as vice-president is currently pure supposition. The only one who knows what she will due is LW herself. Today, there appeared another online post on the topic will Liz Warren accept a draft to be anyone's vice-presidential candidate.

Whatever the outcome of her decision, of this I am sure: she will make her choice based on what action would be best for the country (and progressivism), not what is best for her personally. This is in sharp contrast to HRC, for whom I will never vote--even if Liz were here her running mate. Medusa only cares about Medusa. She is a snake, not to be trusted--ever--other than to expect her to further enrich the already rich (and herself).

doesn't really gain anything by her becoming Clinton's VP. All she'll be used for it cover to draw Bernie supporters back in.

for either candidate, frankly, but especially not Clinton. A Clinton-Warren ticket would be exactly like a Clinton-Sanders ticket: stupid, misguided, and incompatible. Plus also, we need EW in the Senate.

She's one of the few we'll keep when the Brand New Congress takes over. Smile

I miss Colorado.

I would like her to stay in the Senate, rather than have the MA Republican (WTF, MA?) governor appoint a dead-ender Republican to replace her.

The Clintons are both toxic and not to be trusted. I want Elizabeth Warren to run for POTUS in 2020, and I don't want her reputation stained by the Clintons. She still has work to do in the Senate, especially if we wrest it away from the GOP in Nov.

But Hillary will definitely bring harm to Warren. Personally, I think Warren is too smart to even consider being Shillary's running mate.

She wins no badge of courage for sitting out the campaign and she would be more effective in Senate anyway.

Now that was not fair! I have had snakes as wonderful pets who can also cool you as they warm up from you, move around your head massaging a headache away too.

Basically:

She is a snake, not to be trusted--ever--other than to expect her to further enrich the already rich (and herself).

Is a major insult to snakes the world over. let's face it, she is arrogant and self entitled pond scum.

Trial Balloon to see if THAT would appease Sanders supporters
it didn't... And IMHO she wouldn't take that bait either
But it was an interesting peak inside the closed doors of the party elite
Who FINALLY seem to understand that HRC, limping to a hotly contested party primary victory means absolutely nothing IF she cannot bring the

1) sanders progressives
2) Millenniels
3) White rural working America

Into the GE with her.

I hear the hard negotiating with Bernie has begun
And Bernie wants a debate in Cali (I love his unswerving chutzpah)
I wait with interest to see what Bernie can negotiate for

Whatever the party flaks say
We are winning

But aside from that, if EW was picked for VP, wouldn't Clinton essentially be saying, 'Yes I know you think I'm a loathsome (insert expletive of choice), so here's a woman you actually like.'?

Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.

Her ego would never let someone that is more popular than she is on the ticket. My top three likely picks are Tim Kaine, Evan Bayh, and Barbara Boxer. After the debacle in Nevada and with Boxer out of the senate, she would be the most likely choice since they would assume she would theoretically still appeal to the left wing of the party - although after Nevada, that's pie in the sky wishing. They are going to be looking at currently non-sitting dems for the slot so as not to lose any more seats. I think that's the main reason she opted not to run this cycle in the first place.

Kaine and Bayh are going to be the ones the DLC will push. That's just the kinda shitty dems they love.

Of course, DWS has been working her ass off to shoehorn herself into a cabinet slot for the last 9 years - I predict chief of staff in the grand tradition of the Rahmster.
