Hillary can't win without major Republican support because she has tanked with Independents

Reuters tracking poll filtered for likely general election voters, independents only. Yellow is Sanders (58%). Red is Clinton (14%). Orange is Won't Vote (28%). Won't Vote has double the support that Clinton has.

Independents now comprise 43% of all voters with 30% identified as Democrats and 26% identified as Republicans. Neither party can win without support from Independents.

With Hillary losing support among Democrats and cratering with Independents, republicans are her last resort for building a coalition.

Drive turn out down to the lowest level possible, then combine political class into one "Left Wing" and one "CRAZY SCARY PEOPLE" parties. Everybody will get their turn to play crazy scary people at some point. Remember, the Heel and the Straight man get 60 percent of the take!

Maybe not. Check out the article. The block quote is a comment posted below this article.

Nevada Dem. Party Officials Defend Inflammatory Decision to Exclude 58 Sanders Delegates from Convention

Democratic party insiders have more to gain from losing with Mrs. Clinton than winning with Mr. Sanders. The Clintons control a huge personal fortune, a bigger foundation fortune, and have access to connections that are worth billions in jobs, contracts, grants, loans, and other patronage.

Mrs. Clinton is not so much a candidate as an emblem on the front of an incredibly wealthy political machine. That is how such an awful candidate is in a position to win a major party presidential nomination.

I have an old friend who many years ago worked for a fund raising outfit he affectionately calls "The Gun Nuts". One of the things he learned there was that they make more money when their candidates lose, which means that they have no incentive to actually win. If you make your living off other peoples' donations (like the DNC or the Clinton Foundation) you have the same incentive structure.

OTOH, Clinton herself wants to win - but everybody else is good either way.

But then I've been told on TOP that Hillary has nothing to worry about.

There is no fucking way that I will give HRC my vote come November or ever, unless I was on a Grand Jury, voting for indictment. I despise what the Clintons have done to the Democratic party. Both of them are grifters, just with more sophistication than Palin or Huckabee. But then, the Clintons have been going after the Big Money and More Power. I hope the Jeffrey Epstein scandal will be a big problem for Ms Inevitable and her crooked machine.

We all know that neoliberalism mandates taking while the taking is good and to hell with the future. The corporate class sees profits as the only reason for their existence - forget that at one time many capitalists showed some respect to the people and communities where they operated - so why not the Clintons and other pretend Democrats? Do like vulture capital: Horn in; steal the pension fund; fire as many workers as you can get away with; run the acquired company into the ground; enrich yourself; and then declare bankruptcy, leaving as many as possible holding the bag and having to clean up your mess.

If you don't know what you want, you deserve what you get.

And does it take effect before or after your vote is counted? Because if your vote hasn't been counted yet, I don't understand why you'd do it.

They received my ballot on May 5th. They do two things: 1 - separate the secret ballot from the mailer, 2 - use the mailer identification to record that I had voted. There is no way they could now find my ballot to pull it back.

Anyone (e.g. Max Boot) who wants to believe in some mass Republican exodus from Trump to Hillary requires a lobotomy to completely erase the last 30 years of Hillary hate.

Goopers will do what they always do, coalesce around the party nominee.

And if Hillary's running, they'll be coming out of the every backwoods nook and cranny to vote against her.

Because a vote that is counted for a left candidate (be that Stein or a Socialist) sends the message that the LEFT is the one that brought HRC down (not to mention giving the Greens better ballot access and matching funds).

threat to the establishment status quo. The oligarchs will be fine with either Trump or Hillary. That's why the Hillary campaign is so hostile toward Bernie supporters. If Trump wins though, the Clinton's will be done for good, both parties will be destroyed, but the oligarchs will still have all their wealth and power.

And how do you have another election without "the main party structure" that has been in place for, what--fifty, sixty years now?

We had them before that. It's just like labor and capital: labor existed before capital and labor will exist when capital is history. Likewise, we will have elections without "the main party structure" we have now (read: the oligarchs and their crook and liar employees).

And I'm liking where that's going, more and more each day.

It is the Democratic party that is the biggest enemy of Progressivism and the problem is structural. We need to be thinking about how to bring about its end so that there is room for something good in US politics.

The good that has come out of this election cycle is that so called 'average voters' are now beginning to see this. In a way this is much more important than who wins the beauty contest.
