green, the guy who thinks he rules over the Bible, and probably thinks he can slay dragons. And in the center, red and yellow make orange!!

Gëzuar!!
from a reasonably stable genius.

the golden griffin shows up here and there in old germany... well meckelnburg has both the doofy ox AND a griffin [red though] trying to scare it. but no handcuffs.
spain may have had that ox but it seems they ate it.
the crown & cross turns up in various iterations but none have the crown with tiny golden vegetables -
which led me to a a "bad flags" site that has an ethiopian flag with an amazing chunk of broccoli in the center. and apparently belgium/brussels at one time celebrated its vegetable soul with a brussels sprout on its flag.
which quite honestly - cheered me up. so i thank you.

this is: Standard of the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin Ashore c.1897-1918 http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/de-mv_gd.html#gdf

The banner of arms of Mecklenburg:

inescutcheon: per fess red over yellow (County of Schwerin);
field 1: on yellow a gold crowned black oxhead with white horn and red tongue (lesser arms of Mecklenburg);
field 2: in light blue a gold griffin (Rostock);
field 3: divided per fess Rostock and green with white border (Principality of Schwerin);
field 4: on red a white cross with gold crown (Ratzeburg);
field 5: on a red field a white arm (Stargard);
field 6: like Mecklenburg but oxhead is diagonal (Wenden).
Although this was the arms of both grand duchies, it was used as the Grand Duke's flag only in Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Mecklenburg-Strelitz used a different flag. In use from before 1870 until 1918.

It would have hung in the throne room of: Frederick Francis IV, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (Reign 10 April 1897 – 14 November 1918) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Francis_IV,_Grand_Duke_of_Meckle...

There is no justice. There can be no peace.

It's the standard of the Grand Dukes of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, as opposed to the Grand Dukes of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.

Schwerin is a lovely little city. The Grand Ducal castle is quite something.

I never saw a flag so grab-bag like. Like the king said this and that and those and them; then had the poor flag maker put everything and squeezed these pictograms into tiny spaces....

Again, I am thinking a Medieval Belgian monarchy flag - maybe a family flag...

I won't torment you with researching this one, however. It's the personal arms of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V (von Habsburg) (1500 - 1558). source for blazon and picture of arms

You are right! That is a real grab-bag heraldry....

All I can think is "Way too much stuff in that space! Was the Emperor drunk or something?!?"

No, just way too many crowns and coronets on one man's head -- a problem common with der Hof von Habsburg in Charles V's time. In fact, it was problematic enough that Charles left one major subset of his estate -- the Germano-Roman Empire -- to his brother, Ferdinand, and the other one, Spain, to his son, Philip.

Nope. I am Deaf. Not just deaf - culturally Deaf.

Did you sound out my online name? If not, you should.

I chose my online name as I am tired and not willing to cooperate with bullshit.

Maybe you may want to check out We The Deaf People and Deaf People United - these are the same organizations with two different branches. DPU is the lobbying org - along with rallies and other events. We The Deaf People is more of educational, non-profit type organization. DPU and WDP have chapters in most of the States - see if you can find a chapter in your state...

I am not a member of these two, but I am watching them to see where they can go and how much they can do.

I am active in Oregon Association of the Deaf and just applied to join Community Advisory Board (to help with Community Needs Assessment for Oregon Deaf Community, including DeafBlind, Deaf with Disabilities, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, Veterans with Hearing Loss, etc. etc.).

as well, but the changed spelling seemed less in someone's face than the true spelling underneath. It still kind of reads to me like you're saying that to everyone who reads you, not only to the bullshitters. But I will keep your explanations in mind and not take it personally. IRL, I am a member of the NAD, but will keep my eyes open for news of the others.
