Wheels of Justice Move on HRCs Emails! Today!

U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan issued an order Wednesday approving the taking of depositions for the discovery plan agreed to by the State Department and Judicial Watch regarding Hillary Clinton's emails. Commencing immediately, the discovery phase is slated to end by late June, right before the July convention. It is unclear if Clinton's aides will cooperate, including Mr. Pagliano, who installed the private server and was granted immunity by the Justice Department.

I can't remember...anyone know?...at what point the content of depositions like this become public information?

When Obama rather oddly invited Bernie to the WH last January, I suspected he wanted to 'suggest' that Bernie stay in the race because Hillary might have problems.

according to the White House.

The White House said the meeting with Sanders had been in the works since Sanders asked Obama for some face time when he saw him a month ago at a holiday party for lawmakers.

But, you're right, Terry, PBO could have issued an ultimatum regarding the race--that, we'll never know.

I suspected that the judge on the case was Republican. Looks like my suspicion was correct.

On October 3, 1984, Judge Sullivan was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to serve as an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

Then he was promoted by Poppy Bush:

On November 25, 1991, Judge Sullivan was appointed by President George H. W. Bush to serve as an Associate Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals

That good Republican -lite DINO Bill Clinton promoted him again:

On June 16, 1994, Judge Sullivan was appointed by President William J. Clinton to serve as United States District Judge for the District of Columbia.

Sullivan is a staunch law and order type, garnering the attention of the late Chief Justice Rehnquist:

From 1998 to 2005, Judge Sullivan served on the United States Judicial Conference Committee on Criminal Law, having been appointed to that position by Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist. Judge Sullivan chaired that committee’s Legislative Subcommittee and, in that capacity, he testified before Committees of the United States House of Representatives on behalf of the Judicial Conference.

Sullivan is also in the eye of a living Chief Justice:

In 2012, Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., appointed Judge Sullivan to the Judicial Conference Committee on Space and Facilities.

I'd say the odds against Hillary are about 4 to 1.

So far, Hillary has not been contacted to testify. 8 weeks for her former aides to testify, and then maybe...

Sullivan's order explicitly left open the question of whether Clinton should be subject to a deposition about the private email arrangement. The order calls for depositions over the next eight weeks of former Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills, former deputy chief of staff Huma Abedin and former information technology specialist Bryan Pagliano. Also slated to be deposed under the plan are Undersecretary of State for Management Patrick Kennedy, former executive secretary Stephen Mull and former Executive Secretariat executive director Lewis Lukens.

The eight-week period to complete the depositions will conclude in late June. That timing has the potential to tee up a debate about a possible deposition of Clinton just a few weeks before she is expected to receive the Democratic nomination for president at the party's national convention in Philadelphia.

She was in at the state department because of her position high up in the Clinton foundation.
The emails don't bother me as much as the pay to play foundation scandal. And it wasn't just the weapon sales to countries that had horrible human rights violations, and the government would first pay Bill to give a speech, then the weapon sales and then the millions of dollars in donations to her foundation.
The foundation and the state department had cross over rolls in Haiti, Libya and Honduras.
However, Bluementhal should be brought up on charges for outing a CIA operatives name and then there's the fact that he didn't have security clearance to be finding contracts that would help both him and the Clintons. And Lanny Davis and the Clintons have been involved in Honduras since 2001 and he has gotten very rich because of his relationship with the Clintons. As well as the guy from Canada. Bill's connections opened up a lot of doors for his friends that wouldn't have been opened if not for him.
Then there's Bill flying to Stein's private island where there's rumors of underaged girls and Stein has a conviction and is on the sex list (can't remember the term)

Many of their friends would get lucrative contracts after donating to the foundation.
Her brother who has no experience running a mining company got a great contract for a gold mine in Haiti.
Obama told her to keep her foundation separate from her state department duties, but she didn't. And why the hell didn't he call her out on it?
Does that man have any type of a backbone?
There are tons of hits if you do a search for Clinton foundation scandals.
Those two are too crooked to be put back in charge of the country.

Don't neglect Ukraine. Though Hillary's role as SOS ended before the coup took place, her influence had already made its mark. Check the Victor Pinchuk Foundation/Clinton Foundation collaboration. (Ukraine sources are the top Clinton Foundation "contributors") And we know that VP Biden's son Hunter was "appointed" to the board of Ukrainian gas firm Burisma. (Pinchuk builds pipelines)

There seems to be no end to the incestuous relationships around the Clintons and their foundation. Read Steve Weisman’s report on how the Clinton led State Department laid the foundation for the regime change in Ukraine.

Victoria Nuland, assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs and lead person for the Ukraine crisis, was a deputy director for former Soviet Union affairs for Bill Clinton's administration, and Principal Deputy National Security Advisor to Vice President Cheney.

A phone call between Nuland and the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt, on January 28, 2014, published on YouTube, proved that the U.S. was planning who should be in the government after Yanukovych’s forced resignation. A month later, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, who Nuland named in the phone call, became the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Of course, the Clinton and Pinchuk Foundations both claim all this is just “to modernize Ukraine”.

OLinda.

'Something' just isn't right about this so-called investigation. I'm almost doubting that there is one--aside from a 'kabuki-like' one, designed to give this Administration 'cover.'

It makes no sense that a serious and credible investigation would drag out so long, without interviewing the primary subject (IMO); leaving a constricted timeline that may not allow enough time for a thorough investigation, and/or resolution before the November election.

I'm beginning to think that we're being fed a line.

At one point during my federal employment, the CID Office was a neighboring office at the Post, and the Special-Agent-In-Charge occasionally had to coordinate with our office. Needless to say, he normally didn't supply us with a lot of specifics about cases under investigation, but he did speak in general terms about them (as/when needed).

As I recall, some cases took years to complete, not months. The idea that the FBI will conduct an interview/deposition of FSC in the next month or two, and then close the case in a matter of a few weeks, goes against anything that I ever observed. (unless there really is nothing at all to the matter)

We'll see. But I sure am beginning to be very skeptical of this process.

we've seen how "they" protect each other. Why in the world would they change that in this case?

Consider Cheney's involvement in leaking info to the NYT. He never got indicted. Libby took the fall, then Fitzgerald claimed "ooh, I couldn't tell, there was sand in my eyes", then Libby got pardoned. It never reached Cheney! And even the fall guy got off.

So why would Hills ever face anything? They'll drag it out, then table it, then drop it.

about "whether the State Department processed documents in good faith in response to Judicial Watch's FOIA request" wherein Judicial Watch is arguing that Dept. of State skirted FOIA laws; this is only tangentially linked to the FBI investigation and those depositions.

Here is an interesting, and very thorough, timeline of the FBI investigation, (not this Judicial Watch FOIA case ...) The Clinton Email Scandal Timeline
According to this article those depositions should be going on any moment now.

Still looks to be "slim to no chance" anything will come of this, but I'll keep my fingers crossed...

We have the burden as plan b talk, we have Andrea's question. I wonder what the rumors are in DC right now about the emails.

From the Clinton news network
http://www.cnn.com/2016/04/05/politics/hillary-clinton-email-probe/index...

Washington (CNN)FBI Director James Comey said Tuesday he does not see a need for urgency in completing the ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton's email server. But he did say that he is staying "close to this one to make sure we have the resources to do it competently," the Niagara-Gazette reported Tuesday.
Comey, in a visit to the FBI's Buffalo, New York, field office, said it's the agency's priority to complete the investigation "well and promptly" but that "well" comes first. Sources have previously told CNN that the investigation has entered its final stages.

Life is strong. I'm weak, but Life is strong.

The Court allowed Bill Clinton to be sued while he was in office (special circumstances, Paula Jones civil case). Typically, presidents are exempt from answering charges while they're in office. The reason (I believe): the Constitution provides for charges being brought within the impeachment process. If they continue to drag their feet, it seems to me it's purposeful. Perhaps they really don't think they have a case.

If we don't want Hillary Clinton to be president, we're going to have to figure out some better way of making her go away.
