The Bends in the Road Ahead (or, How to be a non-Conformist)

We must mirror the message of Bernie now, while it's fresh. The governments are misbehaving, taking our money, and giving we the People nothing for it. More accurately, government taxes the Middle class, gives it to the 1%, and leaves us with very little for our contributions. Imagine if the cost of war could be eliminated. Then we could all get tax breaks!

I marvel at what is relative to what could be all the time. At the same time, I wonder at the masses of people who go along with messages of all types, the one we've been crowing about - "The Coronation of Queen Inevitable", for instance - and so many others. We are all conditioned, both voluntarily and involuntarily (its when its voluntary but if you knew the truth, you would not believe or do that thing, you've been duped). It's like a reverse prisoner's dilemma: you're afraid the guy next to you is stupid enough to believe the bullshit, and since stupid rules, you think you'd better believe it too! Jesus Christ Almighty! We are all conditioned to believe all sorts of crap! And so it becomes reality.

Thus we here (and elsewhere also of course, but probably not at HuffPo) are the last living vestiges of independent thought. And we are inspiring in our movement! Was Occupy any less real than Bernie is today? Did we not watch in horror and mute approbation the kettling and shpritzing and general police brutality (did I mention the killing, the beating, the choking...) writ large on the screens of the world? What the actual fuck are we coming to? Are we silly powerless to stop it as it unfolds before our very eyes? The movement this time, then, is a mass of people who are all saying

Enough is enough!

until things change. We are mute because we are drowned out. We are fearful because we have reason to be. We oppose a formidable power!

Bernie Sanders is a formidable power, and so is the legion of the masses of us, the last free-thinkers for miles around, to inspire others to also remember when they thought for themselves.

I am inspired tonight by Roger Fox, who announced he is running for Congress. I told him I was thinking of like, city council or something myself. Don't think it's a coincidence. Plus I've got Gavin Newsome looks, so that can't hurt.

It's because we are inspired to take the fore in this real cause! Mine may be a pipe dream, but Roger's is not. So the road of peaceful revolution takes a turn, then. Let's focus also on the down-ballot and continue to make our voices heard! We need only to identify progressive candidates that we agree that we like down-ticket to Dog Catcher, and endorse them. And if there isn't a person who you like, think about at least badgering your friend to run.

Thus we regain the legitimacy and mantle of honor that the One Orange Place has squandered, helping make the world a shittier place for us all. But I hear he's got a bomb office in San Fran or something. God save me from having to make that kind of rent every day!

Anyway, this is a good idea.. not contest the presidency - as Bernie said he would not, but win down-ticket as well. We have power: the power of the internet. We just need the collective will! Banzai!

...I'm just talking about the bends in the road ahead. i've lived long enough to have seen all sorts of things, so here's another quote, and this I do believe:

It ain't over til its over.

Bernie is a win-win.

When you come to a fork in the road, take it.
I see a major schism looming. Which way shall we travel?
