A senior strategist for Democrat Bernie Sanders says the campaign will "take a step back and then decide publicly what his intentions are."

That read (emphasis part of original email):
"When we started this campaign, I emailed my supporters and said, "This campaign is not about Bernie Sanders. It's about a grassroots movement of Americans standing up and saying: 'Enough is enough. This country and our government belong to all of us, not just a handful of billionaires.'"

I believe that now more than ever.

We still have a path to the nomination, and our plan is to win the pledged delegates in this primary. Next week five states vote, and there are A LOT of delegates up for grabs. I am going to keep fighting for every vote, for every delegate, because each is a statement of support for the values we share. ..."

I would take this report with a grain of salt.

I just opened an email from Bernie's campaign. He is not giving up and is in this until the convention. He reminded his supporters it isn't about him but it is all about us. I added to my monthly donations this morning. I will follow his lead and not give up nor will I give in and vote for HRC

Same asshole who advised Gore not to Fight for the Recount and Kerry to ignore the malfeasance during his election...

Never trusted that asshole and don't know why the hell Bernie trusts him. Course I don't trust ANY Democrats right now, so that's almost a moot point.

Edited to insert one word that changes the whole point. Sorry.

When wealth rules, democracy dies.

I know Bernie is a politician, but at age 74 what has he got to lose by offending the Dem Party PTB? Why not go all the way to the convention?

Full source of Devine's quote:

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_2016_ELECTION_RDP_THE_LATEST?S...

A top adviser to Bernie Sanders says the senator still has a path to the
Democratic presidential nomination but will need to perform well in primary
contests next week.
Senior adviser Tad Devine spoke in a phone interview after Hillary Clinton
defeated Sanders in New York by a convincing margin. He says Sanders
"never counted on winning New York - this is her home state."
Devine says there are "still a pretty good number of delegates left.
We have to win most of the states. We have to win enough delegates
to make up the difference."
Devine says the Sanders campaign will see how it does next week
in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Rhode Island and Connecticut
and then "assess where we are."

It's not over until Bernie himself says it's over.

A lot of wanderers in the U.S. political desert recognize that all the duopoly has to offer is a choice of mirages. Come, let us trudge towards empty expanse of sand #1, littered with the bleached bones of Deaniacs and Hope and Changers.

He is considering how he wants to proceed.

It has always been my theory that his campaign was not about winning the presidency as a vehicle to bring together those who are thinking to themselves "this is wrong" along with "there is nothing I can do to stop it".

The more delegates he collects the more clout he has going in. But my biggest hope now is California, and Oregon. I would really like to see them make a statement. Maybe we could just chainsaw a mote down the rockies afterward. But I honestly think the western states need to take a stand.

He has already changed the course of history by uniting all these folks and getting them networked. It is powerful enough I a totally fear for the internet....

I am still getting a stream of messages that are consistent with the basic plan to go all the way to the convention. I will continue to support Bernie as these messages continue to quote his "upbeat" vision. For the long view: Staying the course puts the progressive contingent (us) in a position to have a real voice at the convention.
I am too old to tolerate yet another lackluster but inevitable slipping and sliding to the right.
