Friday Night Photos Bird Mix Edition

Happy Friday everyone. It's the end of the week. You know what that means. Time to put all the nuttyness going on in the world on hold. Got a photo you like. Post it. Got a meme you like. Post it. Got music you like. Post it. Got anything else you find of interest. Post it.

Got back from Oregon last night. It's going to take a few days to edit photos. I'll have them ready to post next Friday. In the mean time here are some birds from Santee Lakes I took a two weeks ago.

BTW

Obviously I am not a camera buff but the lens used by the woman in your first image seems like overkill for closeup shots.

@humphrey
A long lens allows you to get nice close-ups like my head shot of the wild turkey. Both shots of the turkey were shot with a 100-400 mm just beyond minimum working distance. The first shot at 125 mm and the head shot at 400 mm.

@Socialprogressive

allows for distant shot to appear close but my comment was for the lens in the image seems to be out of place for actual closeups.

Last night, a bald eagle flew around the front yard. Pretty rare, always exhilarating, never do we have a camera ready for one.
Hope your travel was easy and stress free.

Bald Eagles are rare in San Diego county but we do get one or two mating pairs in the north east area of the county most years.
Other than delayed flights both going and returning, the trip was excellent. Details and photos next Friday.
