Good morning everyone.
Fall is here and the leaves are tumbling down.
Still warm and sunny afternoons but foggy starts. Cool temps.
All the corn has been harvested and the stalks have been run through the chipper and into the compost pile, as have the tomatoes. Harvested one 50' row of potatoes Monday and still have another to go. Just can't do it all in one go. I'm sore as hell already.
Had to come home to suburbia (Vancouver) to recoup.
Surprised the world is still here what with all the talk of nuking Iran and war drums in Europe.
Seems like everyone is holding their breaths waiting for a big false flag event to spark things off.
Maybe with all the expectation and talk, it won't happen.
I mean, a false flag is supposed to be Un-expected, amirite?
Maybe we can hope for a meteor strike on DC and we can call it a real flag event from God.

abnormal attacks as in new casus belli that I've noted inSCNP, the Guardian, Sputnik or RT. Of course, we have an erratic madman at th helm, so anything could happen at any moment. The big UK airport threat is almost certainly anything but with no explosives found and the terrorist suspects out on bail. This is something of a deja vu, in that the UK previously bagged 4 suspected terrorist plotters but then eventually quietly let them go without charges.
It seems that the UK, now in full paper tiger mode, in trying to keep its hand in with bullshit and propaganda as its only remaining weapons (short of assassins).
Fall may be here up there, but we are reportedly in for another heat wave starting sometime today. We're also in the process of getting a second crop from our determinate tomatoes, which isn't supposed to happen, but, then again, they are hybrids, so who knows. No corn nor taters here, just chard and some other greens.

I cleaned out my desk, and even cleaned off the desk. I ran across a notice that I had a grievance filed against me, but the committee failed to find any wrongdoing on my part, and they dismissed it outright.
My pals said I should frame it. I represented a guy in a divorce. His wife was unhappy about the outcome. She is the one who filed the grievance against me.
Gotta go to the post office and change my address.

E2 is mending nicely. Had a bit of a scare with sudden headaches, sometimes a sign of spinal fluid leakage. But an MRI cleared that. Headaches have gone away over the weekend.
I come up with a few spoiled potatoes Sunday.
I'm here to note that one can leave spuds in the ground for nearly 2 months before they begin to spoil. I timed it after the above ground foliage died out and crumbled.
And of course, some that I missed in the ground will still "volunteer" next spring, as always happens.
Potatoes are easy to grow.
They're just a pain in the
assback to dig up.I will try to plant them in single rows next year and use the tractor to "strattle" it and use the ripper attachment to bring them up. Right now I use a pitchfork to slide under them and pry them up.
I still manage to poke a few of them.
Good that you are going to stay busy doing wills and probates when you retire. I had promised myself that there would be 3 things I would avoid when I retired:
I would not become a nightowl.
I would not become a mallwalker.
I would not get addicted to soap operas.
After 22 years, so far so good.

I paid $4.99.99
per gallon for my sports car, which uses premium gas. I mostly drive it around our small town, burning through very little gas. I fill up about every 7 or 8 weeks. It gets up to 35 mpg.
Tomorrow is my final work day at the office, so I won't even be driving those 5 miles a day weekdays.
I can deal with 3 or 4 fill ups a year.
That is 50 cents more per gallon than last time I filled up.
