Imaging with Your Wi-Fi Hotspot

Wi-Fi imaging is not a new idea. “The past two years have seen an explosion of methods for passive Wi-Fi imaging,” says Philipp Holl, an undergraduate student who worked with Friedemann Reinhard of the Technical University of Munich to develop the new method. The principle is similar to that of standard radar technology, except that radar systems make use of tailor-made emitters that produce a wide range of frequencies (that is, they have wide bandwidths). Wi-Fi imaging, in contrast, would ideally use the relatively narrow bandwidths of commercial Wi-Fi sources.

Then there is this years article Ordinary WiFi can now identify people with near perfect accuracy in Science Daily, May 22, 2026.

Using standard wireless signals and artificial intelligence, they demonstrated a system capable of identifying people with striking accuracy, even if those individuals are not carrying an active device.

There are a parallels in the Korean and Taiwan situations. The Japanese collaborator class pushed out of power and hounded, had to find a way to regain power. So promotion of Hoklo ethnic politics. After the KMT took control there was a period of "exile governments" in Japan decades ago. The US replaced Japan in both former colonies. Japan nostalgia is still a current in both, but much more so in Taiwan, but hidden beneath the surface because of what I call Banquo's ghost, guilt concerning enthusiastic support of Japanese military campaigns on the mainland and in Southeast Asia.

The US is looking for a virtue endorsement from some country on Iran. It's isolated. South Korea fits the bill because of the administrations democratic credentials, Lee's personal story, and the recent overthrow of the threat to democracy there posed by the recent coup d'etat. It really does have not only cultural appeal worldwide, but the appeal of democratic virtue. This is what you know who seeks to exploit, while at the same time still working to undermine the democratic administration, that brought down the US puppet Yoon Seok-yeol. South Korea is also in a somewhat vulnerable position because of the many pending issues between the US and South Korea related to the alliance-

Other issues pending between the US and Korea bilaterally, such as wartime OPCON transfer with respect to the Combined Forces Command on the Peninsula. The Nuclear Consultation talks are scheduled for November I believe. This concerns extended deterrence, which South Koreans view as still desirable. The South Koreans are looking for licensing of some kind from the US for nuclear attack submarine production as well. There is also the South Korean shipbuilding coordination on the US behalf, and the dispute over Coupang a US retail company using an amazon model. Also pending are the rest of the 350 billion dollars the administration squeezed out of S.Korea in exchange for some tariff relief. A lot of arm twisting going on.

I've heard more than one expert say that you know who is impulsive, equivocal, inconsistent, unreliable, etc. Therefore if one agreed to his demands, then what? What is that worth? Giving up your international standing? Aren't they supposed to be an ally? The prevailing view among the pundits is to take one's time, go along with the European consensus on Iran, and follow domestic constitutional requirements for legislative approval of any overseas deployment. If as a result one takes it in the shorts from the US, so be it.

A legend concerning Han Xin an early Han general renowned for his strategy was mentioned in the latter respect by South Korean veteran broadcast journalist Son Seok-hui. The main objective here for South Korea is not to piss off the Russians or the Chinese or Iran, or the North Koreans, if possible, and to leave options open with Japan without getting sucked into Taiwan or other US China disputes. There's just no future in it. Unfortunately, the damage caused to world energy markets by the US, has hurt the domestic economy in South Korea. South Korean energy imports from the US increased by 25 percent to compensate somewhat. They don't want to send their domestically produced missile interceptor Cheon-goong II 天弓 to Ukraine either.

The US administration's method of demanding these contributions which infringe on South Korean sovereignty don't follow past diplomatic practices. In the past, eg Vietnam, Iraq II, such US requests were made discreetly through channels, not publicly by the President while disparaging South Korea. The military assets being discussed by South Korea maritime patrol aircraft, logistics ship, and UDT teams in non combat roles. It is not safe to deploy these assets in the region near the straits unless they are clearly understood to be solely in a peacekeeping mode after hostilities cease.

After his contribution to the Han Dynasty, Han Xin, went the way of the hunting dog after the rabbit had been caught.

I was just dropping by with my clipboard loaded, hoping I might find some insight from you on the Korea situation. Under normal circumstances and my long-standing opinion/projection in Asian matters, I would dismiss Korean actions as faux posturing, for local manipulation. South Korea has it tough when it comes to geography. I think of it as a well-oiled ball bearing in the physical juncture where the Three Great Powers, meet and pivot — China, Russia, and the US. My advice for Korea has always been to keep its head down, play dumb, but remain ferocious when it comes to protecting its people from harm. I never once saw North-, South-, or a United Korea as an arbiter in global governance. Did you? Even if it did suddenly decide to take a showboat cruise to the Strait of Hormuz. WTF? Like some sort of Dragon Boat parade? Or a mobile lubricant at the point of intense global friction?

Those were my first thoughts when I saw the following news clod this morning, from my clipboard:

South ​Korea has sent an inspection team to ‌assess the security situation in the Strait of Hormuz but no decision has been taken on sending troops, ​the defence ministry said on Tuesday.

The announcement ​follows a decision by U.S. President Donald Trump ⁠in August to scale back U.S.-South Korea joint ​military exercises, in part because South Korea had declined ​to help Washington in the U.S.-Iran war.

The South Korean team departed for the United Arab Emirates over the weekend and ​is expected to return as early as this ​week, the Yonhap news agency reported, citing the defence ministry.

The ‌presidential ⁠office said on Friday that Seoul was reviewing its options, including military measures, to support freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital ​transit route for ​global oil ⁠supplies. It denied media reports that the government had already decided on ​a deployment.

Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson said on ​X ⁠this week that any South Korean military presence or participation in operations in the Gulf and ⁠the Strait ​of Hormuz would be considered ​support for U.S. "aggression." This could have lasting consequences for South Korea.

I will say that I have recently been rethinking Korea's national character and destiny. During my lifetime, I've regarded Korea as a bystander and a 'free radical' on the World Stage. It has generally been considered a captured, tamed, and caged nation by the US. The military-forced geographic split of Korea's psyche into North and South camps, which is unnatural and unstable. (Geopoliticaly speaking, imposing a split on a group or tribe is invariably dangerous and volatile, like a lit fuse. Especally when it occur in relative isolation. Iran is a similar Western Trap, in the form of a Fake Nuclear Threat, which SK is helplessly tumbling into. There are two additional fascist traps underway::

(1) Taiwan (a militant split between Chinese nationalist-fascists and Chinese democratic-socialists, aka: Reds or commies). Note: no one involved in this artificial construct is native to Taiwan Provence.

And (2) Ukraine (a proxy nation composed of unaffiliated slavic groups descended from Ukrainians, Poles, Romanians, and former Nazis who had settled in the Badlands buffer zone. This vast buffer zone was created by Russian czars of the Soviet Union. It was named "Ukrainia" (the Russian word for "borderlands.") The buffer zone was sparcely settled, unimproved wild lands that would hold back frequent invasions of Russia by European armies. In 1995, after the economic collapse of the Soviet Union, those badlands were combined by US and EU advisors into a new proto-nation called Ukraine, which contained Kiev, the former capital city of Russia. The Borderlands (Ukraine) was mostly occupied by Russians, especially in the East. For that reason, Russian candidates almost always won the free democratically conducted elections in Ukraine, which began in 1997. This outcome was unacceptable to the Imperialists. In 2014, the US overthrew the new Ukraine Government and promoted the NATO-affiliated NAZI supporters. That's how we got here.

I hope South Korea can finesse its way forward without aligning with the deadly military forces backed by the Global Elite.

If these fascist traps all fail, especially the nuclear traps (such as the one that failed in Iraq), then the West may be contained from inflicting further evils upon humanity.
