With leaders like this

Good morning everyone.
Rainy and breezy here today in suburbia. Going to shut down the irrigation system to the garden as the tomatoes are getting too much water. They are still green yet, but when they start to ripen excessive water will make them swell and split. I don't usually water them at all after July 4th, unless there is a heat wave or something.
As soon as the corn is 6" or so, I will start planting various beans to feed them nitrogen. I may plant a couple of squash but will mulch to keep the moisture in and control weeds.
With two gardens going 75 miles apart, the automatic watering system takes a lot of pressure off timely waterings and I can adjust the amount and days to dispense. I currently have nearly 10,000 square ft. under cultivation.
It's a chore, but worthwhile. Aside from the obvious benefit of fresh organic veggies, it provides a storehouse of food throughout the winter and early spring.
Plus, family members are now trying their hand at growing food. My son has expanded his little garden again this year and is gaining valuable knowledge and experience. Hopefully he will inspire the grandson to take note.
I guess the Knicks fans at Madison Square Gardens gave Trump a rousing boo last night. Gee, I wonder Why? He has already intimated that he doesn't care about the struggles the American people are going through. He insists things will get much, much better when Iran surrenders or we reach Heaven. Not sure to which he is referring.
But things will get better. Honest. Trust him, he's a businessman extraordinaire. He knows how to run a regime.
Enough snark for the morning.
Thread is open.

Good morning e1. Been out raking up fallen apricots -
they're starting to ripen, but not there yet. One determinate tomato - "Patio" coone or whatever has produced 3 already (one split) has 3 more ready top pick in a day of two. It's in a pot. Other determinate in raised bed not yet bearing fruit. Indeterminate, trellised in bed has some fruit, still green. We got a ton of snow peas, plant now pulled and are starting to get green beans. We don't have acreage, more like a few sqaure yards, so we're doing pretty good, we think.
The news, ass usual, is a mixed bag of kaka. This is the result of all the politicians, assisted by the media, pushing FUD; fear, uncertainty, and doubt. Getting tired of it, actually long past tired of it, decades past. Have planned a seriusly busy day today, we'll see if I get it done.
be well and have a good one.

I'm wondering
Do snow peas inject nitrogen into the soil like beans? Will have to research that.
I'm also wondering if this $3.8 billion Congress gifts to the Issies gets laundered and funds the Issie gifts and perks back to the same politicians that voted to give it to them in the first place.
$3.8 billion for 10 years and the vote was unanimous.
Makes you wanna go, Humm.
Thanks for stopping by.

Good afternoon, e1!
I had a walk in drop by wanting to probate her sister's will. She was admiring my office, so I mentioned it was originally built in 1932. She said she lives in her family home, built in 1933, the first brick home built in Wallace, Texas.
Anyway, no gardening, but some fence clearing got done.
I laughed at the booing crowd! I wonder if Trump even gives a shit.
Anybody found out what brought down that Apache helicopter in The Strait of Hormuz? Was it Iran? Just a crash? Or false flag? At least the pilot and co-pilot were not killed.
War is hell.
Thanks for the OT, friend!

The Trump/MSG debacle
continues to expand. Apparently many bars and restaurants in the area was closed for security purposes, and extra hassles at the gate proved to much for someone to come and fall asleep in his seat.
The crowd was pissed.

HI E1!
I think the idea of a remote garden or field to grow food is great. Perhaps someday, we can make the right connection to get Ms. So back in the gardening business. Our neighbor expressed some admiration for the plants on our back patio, but that is just not enough.
I went swimming at daughter's house a couple of days ago: I get a couple of days physical rush out of that. Found a book store that had a couple of basic Chinese language textbooks that made my day. I watched a lot of the Xi in Pyongyang videos, mostly South Korean, seeing the Chinese and North Korean banners side by side was interesting.

Yeah, I think
China and North Korea are still diplomatically close. Of course they share a nearly 1000 mile border.
A lot of history there, going back thousands of years.
The Americas had a history going further back, but nobody wants to hear about it. They just want to talk about the piddly-ass 500 years of European invasions that have trashed the whole place.
It used to be a Garden of Eden.
Most of our bookstores have gone the way of Amazon. But we still have Powell's in downtown Portland.
Thanks for the post.
