Why Hillary won't win the general election
Setting aside most of Hillary Clinton lying for 13 minutes straight in this recent YouTube with 3,788,755 views and focusing on the presentation from 8:37 to10:56 you’ll see a straight up CBS News report showing an exaggeration growing into a lie, then that lie growing stronger. Presented as a fabrication to make her international experience seem more impressive, Hillary lacked the experience to know enough that fabricating stories while the cameras are rolling will always get you in the end. And once CBS outed her lies, she still could not come to terms with the truth.
It could not be more obvious, that Bosnian “misremembering” event is what Republicans live for. In an era where the downfall of Brian Williams is still fresh in voters’ memories, pretending the Clinton camp’s final words on Hillary Clinton’s landing in Bosnia fantasy fiction will be the final words, that would be a case of Hillary supporters in total denial.
Of course neither Barack Obama nor Bernie Sanders had any use for that story, they are decent human beings. But in a general election against a Party where they specializes is elevating character assassination so Americans will forget the issues, this is mother's milk. With the recent national public debate, the decision that the “defects of character” of an anchorperson who was in an actual war zone and later exaggerated the facts left him unfit for smiling and reading from a network teleprompter, the Republican Party must be thrilled at the prospect of running against another person who fabricated lies to make herself feel important.
For Republicans this is a one minute saturation commercial waiting to happen. Sunday morning Republican talking heads on TV saying “At least Brian Williams could actually hear enemy gunfire.” It will become a debate where Hillary pundits won’t be able to find a leg to stand on. People like Stephanie Cutter trying with “all politicians lie” but leading to discussion comparing quoting statistics from questionable sources to the relationship between self aggrandizing lies and narcissistic personality disorder traits. A campaign strategy that leads to Wolf Blitzer sitting across from some prominent psychiatrist discussing Hillary’s emotional stability. Voters will be reminded of that next door neighbor or co-worker that fabricates wild stories about themselves to "one up" them. The issues will be forgotten as the election degrades to pure conservative values vs. that “former brain surgeon” DMV employee next door neighbor of yours who saw you coming back from a Bruce Springsteen concert saying “That’s nothing. I went to high school with him and used to jam with the band at the Stone Pony.” The question will become “Should that type of person be running the nation?”
I’m sure at this point, the people left falling into the Hillary faithful camp, just don’t want to know about it. Anyone who is planning on voting for Hillary in tomorrow’s New York primary or one of the upcoming states, will probably need to tell themselves “This is so twenty years ago” but Hillary was not a teenager when it happened and how many years prior to the 2004 election did John Kerry take up the innocent act of windsurfing? Pretending that Bernie was too hard on Hillary and this primary made her stronger, is a false belief because Bernie was going very soft on Hillary and the on deck batters are the people who brought us swiftboating.
And if the Republican Party manages to take out Trump and Cruz, Hillary’s low voter turnout strategy is never going pan out. With that video, even Cruz could drive Hillary’s already dismal approval ratings down low enough for four more years of Republicans putting a hurting on Americans.

Joe Biden's sudden resurfacing in the media is no accident
and neither is his wife's interview on the Today Show about how much of a "unifier and compromiser" he is.
Bernie MIGHT not be the nominee, but I'm more and more certain that Hillary won't be, either.
It's a big club...and you ain't in it!
Maybe it is time to bring out the videos
of him confessing to be a plagiarist and his writing of and support of the bank-loving bankruptcy bill. Just seeing those surfacing may give him second thoughts.
The first time Biden ran, I liked him and would have voted for him. Then he got kicked out due to his plagiarism. At the beginning of the primary season, I certainly would have voted for him against HRC, but then Sanders showed up and I was saved.

Joe also supports the TPP
and took nasty pleasure in pissing in Bernie's soup about his trip to the Vatican. No surprise, I guess, coming from the same guy who let Anita Hill's reputation be destroyed.
If Hillary or Joe is the nominee, my vote happily goes to Jill Stein, even when they plop Elizabeth Warren in as their
progressive sheepdogVP.It's a big club...and you ain't in it!
Ah, thanks for the reminder.
Anita Hill Yup, that would do it. As for the TPP, I don't think many really understand just how bad it is.
It was a truly saddening sight to see what the media and others did with what should have been a celebration for a US leader to be invited to the Vatican conference.

Biden is the more likable face of the establishment D party
But make no mistake--he IS an insider's insider, as Bernie, despite his years on Capitol Hill, is not. I wouldn't vote for anyone the powers that be try to stuff in place of their ethically compromised and honesty-challenged standard bearer, Hillary Clinton, including Elizabeth Warren. And I hope to whatever deities there be that other Sanders supporters wouldn't either, if things came to that pass.

Elizabeth Warren is no ones pawn or patsy
Senator Warren has been abundantly clear: she will happily remain an extremely powerful Senator, and will not run for higher office at this time.
Furthermore, nobody can force her to run for any office when she does not want to do so.
Be a Friend of the Earth, cherish it and protect it.
I don't have HBO
so I can't watch it, but the movie Confirmation , reminding people of the shitty way he treated Anita Hill is not going to help matters either.
It has started
Joe Biden’s darkest hour: Race, gender and the vilification of Anita Hill is long so I haven't read the whole article yet (I did watch the original hearings back when so don't really want to relive the anger I felt then).
What does this say about HRC's choice in people she associates with?

Only way to read it from my view
While the Dem Party PTB often act stupidly, reality forces us to remember that individually, there are some pretty smart folk in that group. Therefore, I conclude that they ARE thinking about options and floating Biden (whether to gauge or to prepare I know not).

Well Hillary Clinton is pretty smart.
Being the brains behind Bill is a pretty exceptional achievement you have to admit. And making the connections she made also took a pretty respectable amount of brains, as well as producing all of the neat-looking and sophisticated policies she promotes.
The problem here is that nearly all of Clinton's vast intelligence is either of the 1) conservative mind (see Henry Kissinger) or 2) the criminal mentality (e.g. Al Capone) variety.

I really do believe that Bernie has some wins ahead, and will work harder to support that. I am not giving up. I note that he is seeking legal redress and encouraging legal action at each step of this charade of a primary, and could potentially sue the DNC for breach of contract, as well as the party. How dare state party organizations accept legalized money laudering with NO input from voters and knee cap a full and fair election? We pay their fucking salaries. I wonder what it will take to bring this home to the party machine: it certainly seems like they are TRYING to crash the party this year.
Political parties are like corporations
Their purpose is to concentrate power and deflect responsibility.
The reason they concentrate power is not so that they can enforce OUR will, but theirs.
The Democratic party curried favor with the left side of the bell curve of public opinion and the republicans took the right. It has rarely mattered to the parties what those opinions were. All that mattered was that they could concentrate power and eternally divide the people against themselves to preserve that power.
"..all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
Our movement is at a defining moment. Do we despair that we put up the good fight but lost the rigged game? Do we resent that it's a big club and we ain't in it?
Or do we continue rising, inexorable as the tide?

that "toughness" is merely a shell.
She frequently over-compensates when she has a lack of skill, a perceived weakness, or she has no instinct upon which to rely. It comes across frequently as being hyper-aggressive, overly competitive, back stabbing, and completely self-centered. In her mind, it really is all about her. No one and nothing else matters.
Talking about arrogance and conceit, when was the last time that she and Bill were seen together? Rarely, I guess, given how both egos would barely fit into the same room.

I think it's more dimensional than just that
Wars are the tried and true way to get flagging economies chugging along again (the world and its interconnected economics are awash in worthless debt). You remove the unemployed from street corners when they and their anger can make mischief, you destroy a lot of overcapacity so that there's a need to manufacture (and buy) stuff again, you fatten the coffers of your Military Industrial Complex buddies--the arms dealers and military suppliers and aircraft mftrs and top ranks of the professional soldier class.
You get money moving through the economy again. You and your pals get more obscenely rich, and the 99% get what seem like generous crumbs to stifle the roiling anger and prevent a real revolution. And what passes for capitalism and democracy are saved again. Cue FDR. Wars serve many purposes seen as valuable by politicians and their owners.

In some ways I am LESS scared of Trump than Clinton.
At least with Trump we may get a wave of progressive support built up and take a bunch of seats in the house and senate in 2018 and lay the groundwork for a 2020 primary or build a viable 3rd party to run with.
I honestly think if Sanders pushed his core supporters to start creating a viable third party now is probably the ripest point in history for one and they could indeed pull it off.

back when she was SOS, from a fall IIRC? Not that I want to make any excuses for her behavior!
Life is like Disneyland - if you haven't been on all the rides by the end of the day, you have no one to blame but yourself.
She had a twofer: Stroke plus head injury
In 2014 (I believe) HRC suffered a lateral sinus thrombosis ( a form of stroke when one the major veins draining blood from the brain is clogged causing a form of stroke ) resulted in a fall causing head-strike. Not have information about actual medical data, it is quite possible that in addition to her stroke, she suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Results of TBI vary widely from no residuals at all to complete devastation. Review of her neurologists's medical records should be very enlightening.

The Republican Nominee
I think that Cruz and not Trump will be the Republican nominee. Think about it. If you were a Republican bigwig and you saw the numbers for general election matchups, you would see that anybody could beat Trump. But Cruz has a real chance of defeating Clinton, who might very well be the Democratic nominee.

What's especially scary about Clinton
is that you can confront the Clinton supporters with the hard evidence against her, and all they'll do is think you're some kind of Republican. This gives Clinton total impunity. Electing Clinton will be like electing Kasich, except, unlike with Kasich, nobody will resist.
“One of the things I love about the American people is that we can hold many thoughts at once” - Kamala Harris
I've said this
more than once. The Bosnia lie will be her downfall. Email servers, classified-unclassified emails, big banks, etc, etc goes over most people heads and she can do her double talk and spin on those things. But Bosnia is black and white and easy to understand. She flat out lied AND she admitted to it, but instead of being humble about it she said she "misspoke". Another non-apology. And in most people minds her Bosnia lie has a military aspect to it. Like B Williams and some soldiers that embellish their records. It doesn't play well with the public. At all.
Look at what they did to Kerry. He was a combat veteran and was wounded by enemy fire. And still they ground him up and spit him out over his record. Hillary and Bosnia is the proverbial pig on a platter...
She could survive the Bosnia "embellishment" if it were an
outlier comment (outliar?). But it's not, and she's not. Her lies are legion. Those lies and her "evolution" on issues are the reasons she polls so poorly on trust and honesty. And those unfavorables matter.

I'm amazed that Hillary voter can't see that
I get how the DNC with their thumbs on the scale, the money loving corrupt Democratic establishment, the corporate media overseen by rich people who don't want a tax increase and the paid pundits pretending they are neutral don't want to see the reality, but how can they convince voters that Hillary has any chance of being viewed as a viable candidate?
It's not that they don't see it, it's that they don't care...

the General Election because the GOP won't let Trump be their nominee.
-and winning the Dem nomination isn't a given by any means.

I don't think the GOP will be able to
...not nominate Trump. Too much of the base loves Trump and he and his base will bolt from the Republican Party and follow Trump if they don't indict him. The GOP is living in denial deluding themselves into thinking they can get away with rigging a contested convention and then handing the nomination to someone other than Trump when he is clearly the front runner.

The GOP convention
will certainly be interesting - that much is fairly certain.

Tend to agree with stevej, that Trump--
because of the delegate system, and the well-organized push back by the Repub Establishment--won't likely be the Republican Party nominee.
My impression is that Dem and Repub Elites will line up behind John Kasich in a heartbeat, if it doesn't look like FSC can win. Kasich is certainly being touted by both parties--including Dem Party talking heads Maddow and Hayes, as well as Dem Party economist (yesterday on 'This Week'), Robert Reich.
Really, it makes sense that Repubs would be happy with a several fiscal conservative (FSC) in the White House, as long as they have Paul Ryan as Speaker.
Just look at the success Democrats and Republicans have enjoyed during this Dem Administration--cutting virtually all the social safety net programs, including partially privatizing the VA, cutting federal employee (Civil Service) pension benefits, by increasing the employee pension contribution for new hires, as well as enacting federal employee furloughs and salary freezes, and beginning the process of dismantling employee protections under the Merit System Protection Board (MSPB); literally slashing and overhauling military pensions; cuts to Medicare, Social Security; enacting much tougher standards for qualifying for SSDI; cuts to SNAP; the near destruction of the multi-employer pension plan system--just for starters.
I'm still trying to get more detail on the recent announcement that 'some' federal employees will have their pensions cut. I've held off posting on this, since I found only one article about it, and was hoping to get more detail.
IMO, the Bipartisan Elite have only one goal--to elevate candidate who's the most several fiscal hawk, and the staunchest neoliberal.
They could care less which Party he/she hails from!
